Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolina

I was referred here for neck and shoulder problems that have gone unresolved even after a cervical fusion by another physician. My appointment was at 9am. I was taken back at 9:10 but left waiting in the exam room for an hour and a half total! Never saw Dr. Kocol other than when I came out for the third time to see why it was taking so long. She didn’t seem overly concerned. Neither did anyone else! Not one person came to check on me the entire time I was in the exam room. I left because I was going to be late for another appointment and I sure as H### WILL NOT be going back!

Went here for a sprained ankle only to be surprised with an extra $ 45 «Shift» clinic surcharge. Shift is their after hours program. I called ahead of time and asked if it made a difference if I made an appointment or just came in, I was told it did not. In terms of the care, I felt like it was adequate but because it was Shift, I felt like it was rushed. I was referred to PT and never understood the cause.
Reason for one star: I tried to call and reconcile my account and inquired about the $ 45 surcharge to see if it could be removed. Everyone seemed to have their hands tied: the doctor said the Shift manager has to deal with that charge and vise versa. They have changed the policy to advise incoming patients of this charge but their seems to be a gap in their billing management. No one is able to decide on this charge, guess I will just pay it and not go back.

Friendly front desk people, caring staff, top notch doctors. I never thought that I would find a facility like this outside of the Northeast
