I love this place, hands down best local food joint in Greenville! Best service, just a local family with great food and the best Philly cheese steak I’ve ever had! I would recommend this place if anyone was to come to Greenville.

The best burger in Greenville. Order it pop’s way and you will not be disappointed. Very nice staff and a clean atmosphere.

Tried the pop in a box meal and the burger really was awesome. I had it all the and then some, the fries were fresh cut fries well done and salted just right, you don’t even need salt! The portion of fries was huge compared to what I was expecting. The burger itself is a bit pricy, just a double pop burger is $ 10 and is not a meal price. That is all I have in a negative manner and regardless, I will be back!

It’s funny how i was expecting this place to be like another ordinary place but NO! This is absolutely different then what you can imagine. It’s not run by a corporate management with employees working at minimum wage and not caring about how your order turns out. It’s run by a very sweet couple who wont just take your order but also make you a friend for that short visit. It’s a cozy place with great options to pick from. Everything is made fresh and you can see everything going on in the kitchen. Its not a typical fast food kinda place. It’s nice to see that how a little effort can elevate your experience. This place is worth visiting! It’s not expensive to dine in and it isn’t packed. Great fries and even better burgers! It’s a must eat if you’re ever craving burgers that aren’t generic like mcdonalds or arbys or 5 guys!

The burgers and fries are amazing! Always fresh and made to order, which is hard to find in most places these days. The staff is always friendly, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a fresh burger

So what is there to do in Greenville during the summer? I don’t know, eat? I decided to try Pop’s Old Fashioned Cheeseburgers during my tour of Greenville. So what does Pops sell? If your guess is Chinese food, you would be incorrect. I went with a Double Pop with Cheese and… not a whole lot else. I’m used to really dressing my burgers up, and I was initially surprised at how sparse the selection of toppings was. Now, this makes sense since these are«Old Fashioned» burgers, and not any of those fancy new space aged burgers, but the fact that they charge extra for old fashioned basics like lettuce and tomato is kind of confusing. I also ordered fries and a drink. My burger was frankly not very impressive. Neither were the fries. Now, the meal wasn’t bad by any means, but I was expecting more than a resounding«Meh» to describe a burger from a place that insists on using the tired«Old Fashioned» moniker. To me, a proper old fashioned burger relies even more heavily on a flavorful patty, since it is not dressed up. My patties were on the bland side. 3.25 stars — I wanted to love Pop’s, since Unilocal is all about discovering local gems. The owner serves you and truly cares about whether or not you enjoyed your meal. Pop’s is a reasonably good burger that is reasonably priced. This place is better than the McDonald’s-type fast food tier of burgers, but I can’t describe it as anything beyond that. I’m not sure of what local spots have a better burger, but Five Guys is definitely a superior choice even though it’s a chain.

Came here for lunch. It’s very busy so I guess that means they don’t need to be very nice. Anyway, it took well over half an hour to get two cheeseburgers and fries. For some reason people behind us got their food faster — they weren’t too apologetic to know they skipped us. I get that when people want your product you can act like that. But there are too many burger places in Greenville to do that to people. It doesn’t matter much. As I write this the line continues to form…

I stopped in here as I had a few minutes to kill before I headed back to Raleigh. They don’t give any discounts to the college kids at ECU which is a bummer. When I asked if they did, the hostess replied, «Not at these prices.» The prices are still a on the more expensive than chain places, but not as expensive as Chili’s or sit down places. All of the food is made to order, so do not expect to be in and out. Since it is made to order, expect it to be hot. I really do have to say that the fries were a delightful surprise. They were really skinny, and had a nice seasoning on them. Overall, they were good, but could come down 10% or so for us college kids.

Our cheeseburgers were fantastic! The slaw on top was a brilliant addition: I’ll definitely be trying that again.(They call it «pop-style» with chili, slaw, mustard, and onions.) The fries and onion rings were unremarkable: fresh and tasty, but typical. The service is what would bring me back time and time again, though. The owner greeted us upon entrance, she seemed genuinely friendly and eager to help us get out meal. After we ordered, she delivered our food to the table personally. Also appreciated the clean and quiet atmosphere. Even though we were there during the lunch rush and every table was filled, we had no difficulty hearing one another and conversing easily during the meal.

This is a classic burger joint. Great burgers and fries. You won’t be disappointed. My wife had the onion rings. They were fresh and huge. Pops is also handicapped accessible if you’re in a wheelchair like me. Looking for a burger? Go here!

I went into this place because I wanted to see what kind of local businesses in Greenville had to offer as far as food. I was not disappointed with Pop’s. The menu has a lot of different options and you don’t have to always get the same thing. The burgers are on point! They have the thinner fries, which I like. The environment is very relaxed and it definitely fits in a college town. It is very close to campus and the prices are great for college students. I would recommend this place to any of my friends looking for a good burger.

Once again, Unilocal comes through! Was recently in Greenville for my son’s tour of ECU. Following the tour, I didn’t hesitate to pull out my phone and search Unilocal.Came across Pop’s and picked it for two reasons: it was highly rated and it wasn’t a chain restaurant. Of course, we had to try the burgers and fries and they did not disappoint. All four of us thought the burgers were excellent; hot and juicy just like we like ‘em. The fries? They were just right too. Perhaps the best part of the meal was the service. Did I say service at a burger joint? Yes, outstanding service. When we entered the restaurant we walked to the counter to order and were greeted immediately. The women explained the menu to us(not that it was difficult) and made it very easy to order. We took our seats and after a short wait this same women delivered the food to us. After a few minutes she even stopped by to see how the food was! Is this a burger joint or a sit-down restaurant??? I told my son that she must be the owner because she was so friendly and truly cared that we enjoyed our meal. Later as we were leaving I asked and she confirmed that she is indeed the owner. I don’t know if ECU is in my son’s future or not but I can tell you one thing. If it is. we’ll be visiting Pop’s over and over again. Great food, great service, great price, and friendly people to boot. It just doesn’t get any better. Perhaps the best evidence of the food and service was that my son told me to be sure and give Pop’s a good review on Unilocal

The burgers at this place are amazing. They use local cattle for their beef, and you can really taste the difference. They serve their burgers Carolina style(mustard, onions, chili, and slaw), but of course they will custom make it to how ever you would like it. Just make sure your burger is done all the way, the last one I got was borderline raw. Their deserts are pretty good. They have funnel cake, which usually you can only get once a year at the fair. Defiantly give this place a try.

I was the first customer in the store. It took 13 minutes to get my food. The burger was good… fries were average. Price is comparable to Five Guys but the fries are no where as good.

Best quick burger in Greenville. Local grass fed angus and fresh handcut fries. Good looking salads if your into that sort of thing.
