I moved here about 4 months ago. When I first moved in they were very quick to fix things and get back with me. Now there is a new lady in the office and she is less than helpful. I emailed a list of 5 things needing repair, two including possible water leaks. I never received an email back from her answering my questions, telling me when maintenance would be out, or if they had even received my email. When I called in she told me she had received it, but was too busy to respond. Now I have animals, which need to be put away when maintenance comes. How do I know when to put them up, if you dont tell me WHEN maintenance is coming?!! The day maintenence did come out I called during the day for an update. I was told that they painted the waterspot. And that was AFTER asking twice for a REAL update as the first response from her was, «Yeah they came out». Also, the first time I called I asked about what the roach chemicals were, as I am sensitive to chemicals AND because I have animals. This lady told me that she didnt know because she wasnt the Terminix Lady and laughed. She then suggested I could look up the phone number and call them myself. I have paid my rent online each month, as suggested, even paying a convenience fee, and have received two eviction letters because they fail to check online accounts before sending out said letters. Be careful and come and SEE this place in person before making a decision.

I recently moved to Park West, so I can only speak from my own limited experience here. So far, it’s been good overall. The brick-style buildings and landscaped grounds appear to be well-maintained. As for my own apartment unit, it’s about 975 sq ft — 2 bd/1.5 ba with plenty of closet space; it’s a comfortable size for a single occupant, a couple or a small family. At first, we had some minor problems with bugs; but I haven’t seen any lately. Unfortunately, they have no gated lot or covered garage. However, it seems to be a safe, quiet neighborhood; and there is usually plenty of outdoor parking spaces available. The neighbors and staff are friendly and seem to come from diverse backgrounds. Occasionally, the management hosts social events at the clubhouse, which have been nice. One of the best things about this complex is its convenient location to shops and restaurants. It’s also a short drive to Furman University. If you ask about their move-in specials, you may find yourself with a nice living space at a good value.

This Apartment complex is shady at best I have lived here for over 2 years and I finally had enough. The staff is nice, but incompetent. Constantly have to call for maintenance issues that seem to never get resolved and I have had to call from anything to an AC unit that wont work, to water gushing from under the sink and everything in between. $ 700 a month for a place that is downright falling apart. Being one of the cheaper apartments in the area, means attracting a lot of riffraff. DONTBEFOOLEDONOUTSIDEAPPEARANCE! They have gone out of their way to visually make the place as appealing as possible, but once you move in. The floors sag and squeak, Multiple tenants complain of pest control issues. I personally moved into their biggest unit the split level, 2.5 baths that was already infested on move in day. I ended up having to call my own pest control(Terminix) to rid of the problem, because the company they hire(Hired Killers) is just as incompetent as they are. Had issues with HVAC Unit ever Summer I resided here and they never replace anything, only patch. complex is almost 35 years old. Also, the buildings are not up to code, almost all wall outlets are not grounded so make sure to buy 3 prong adapters prior to moving in. The parking lot in the complex is in dire need of replacing, multiple pot holes and crevices create an obstacle course when driving in and out. There are other complex’s far newer and nicer as well as bigger for around the same price off Pelham and E. North street, so that is where I am going once this Lease is out. I am done being stubborn and just«Dealing with it». STAYAWAY!
