Nice staffer was pushing their surprise bag very hard(barely harder than the samples), which can actually turn out to be a great deal if good ones actually exist.

I was in the store two weeks ago during the Saturday Fermer’s Market and bought some wok il.(Very yummy!) I went I today because I was out of balsamic vinegar and I knew they would have many that I could sample. The young woman who waited on me remembered that I had recently been in! Wow! With all the faces that come in and out of the store, I am most impressed that she remembered me. They are a very enthusiastic and helpful bunch and its a fun place to shop.

We stopped by just to check it out and look around, but the smells samples and staff were so welcoming we stuck around. Ended up with some vinegar, pomegranate dressing, and even some jam. We will absolutely be back and can’t wait to check out one of their chef hosted classes!

I’ve walked by O+V several times before walking in this weekend, to look for a housewarming gift. They had a lovely selection of infused oils and vinegars but they also have a great selection of specialty spreads and some companion tableware. For the hostess gift, I was looking for some less common flavor pairings and ended up picking a tomato vinegar and a jalapeño grapeseed oil. I also ended up purchasing the tomato vinegar, a lemon infused olive oil and a great little olive dish for myself.

They have a great selection of different infused olive oils and vinegar. My favorite was the truffle oil. Walked away with one of the premade gift bags which include double the amount on the bag in store supplies.

There’s a dizzying array of oil and vinegar options. The staff is helpful and there are tons of samples. The prices seem high to me, but I am not a regular gourmet oil and vinegar buyer.

Sometimes I forget that different oils and vinegars have fine nuances that can make unique flavors. If you are into high quality products or flavored oils and vinegars, this is a cool place to check out. The deal is, you buy some sort of container(some as cheap as $ 3 – 4, but some more expensive ones as well) and choose which oil or vinegar you want to buy. The first time you pay for the container and what you put in, but you can always wash it and bring it back for a refill. They charge for every 100ML you purchase, which is the size of the smallest bottle and I think they go up in size based on that increment. They have a nice little station with bread cubes, toothpicks, and different oils and vinegars you can try. I ended up with a fabulous muscat white wine vinegar, which is slightly sweet and tart. It is a great vinegar to add to dressings. You can get several varieties of flavor white wine, red wine, and balsamic vinegars, as well as different presses and flavors of olive oil. I tried their white truffle olive oil and thought it was quite lovely as well. They also sell other things there to use in cooking, such as pastas, sauces, and herbs. I thought the employees were so nice and helpful in picking out what I wanted to use in a homemade dressing. Overall, I love the concept and love the store. It is a cook’s paradise!
