Always solid service. Bartenders are well trained and the drinks are consistently consistent. Food is not crazy but down to earth enough that you KNOW what you’re eating. We had the Poutine(AWESOME) and a couple drinks this time — had to run down to Peace Center for a show so we didn’t want to fill up and be overly full. We love this place. We know we can count on the folks and the food, every time!

Had eaten here a couple of times prior to the reno and found it just average in all respects from pricing to service to the food. Nice location though, so wife and I went there again recently without a reservation. The couple in front of us(also without a reservation) was seated immediately. When we stepped up to the hostess just a second later she said very curtly, «We will have nothing available until at least 830» ie in two hours, followed by a really smug grin. When I asked her to explain why the couple in front of us was seated immediately, she couldn’t explain. No «Sorry, please try us again,» just a rather rude turn down.

This was our first visit — meeting friends here for conversation. I was impressed with the selection of beers as well as our waiter’s knowledge of said selection. Several darks, some good Wits… decent list of wines also. We ordered a round of Pork Nachos for the table(Corn Tortilla, Cheddar Cheese, Pickled Jalapeños, Pico) they were delicious and plentiful enough to share among four people. Their menu presented an impressive selection of items that were difficult to choose between, an obviously good sign. Not a long menu, but sufficiently varied to make me happy. One in our group picked the Seared Salmon(Pork Belly Fried Rice, Vegetables, Cilantro, Pickled Cucumber Salad) it looked to be perfectly cooked and he indicated it was as good as it appeared to be. Three of us chose The Thai Chicken Curry(Spring Vegetables, Jasmine Rice, Cilantro, Pineapple Salad). This dish is a large bowl of curried chicken with a generous portion of rice on the side to mix to suit your taste. It was excellent, perhaps just a bit more curry than the typical curried dish in this country. Perfectly prepared… The place is informal, not too loud, service was excellent — no hovering with just enough attention to catch the need for refile, etc. We stayed a long time and were never pressed to leave our table. It’s a modern place in the middle of the downtown restaurant district so reservations are likely going to be useful. My ultimate test; Would I go back? Yes…

This place was on our list of restaurants in downtown Greenville to try. The last time we tried to eat here the wait was 45 minutes and we were hangry. So we opted for another place. This time though we made reservations for 7pm on a Friday night. The night started with us setting at the table for 15 minutes with no drinks or anyone even stopping by to check on us. Finally our waitress came and made sure we had water but disappeared before we could even place a order for drinks. And that’s how the rest of the night went. The food was average at best. I ordered the classic cheese burger and fries. It was very bland. We also had the chicken and waffles. Same thing, just kinda blah. And very small portion. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. And good for people watching. If we just wanted drinks and a appetizer it would be nice.

I had a fun brunch last weekend with friends at Nosedive. I had been before the remodel and have to admit I like the layout much better now. The open windows, the revamped inside — very cool. Our server was friendly and efficient and it was a great way to spend a couple of weekend hours with friends. We started with the nachos as an appetizers(more of a lunchy menu than a brunchy menu) and a carafe of mimosas(The carafe serves about three people so it’s about the same as ordering individual mimosas, I think, price wise).

1st trip was a Friday afternoon for lunch with a friend. Had the kid with me but she was asleep. We got fish and chips, great special/price and the size was huge! It came with a sauce(not traditional tarter) that was amazing. 2nd time took my parents, husband and kid. The service was SOOOOOOOO slow. Took forever to get 3 beers and a margarita. Then waiting to order was even slower! The food was so so nothing to rave about. Great things I will say… Location downtown is great, outdoor seating is awesome, and connection the hotel is great. The grits bar is great although I thought they’d have a few more toppings. May still give it another chance as my first experience was good, just so disappointed by the second visit. Clearly they need to work on consistency.

Burgers have taken a nose dive. Three years ago before I moved away the burgers were the best around. Beef ground in house made into a nice thick patty. Nothing better then their burger cooked to medium rare. Now? Idk. Patty was too thin for them to do medium rare and the bun overpowered the beef. Why would they change perfection?

The name says it all. Terrible service. We waited a very long time to get a glass of water and ordered very simple brunch items. Just not impressed. Take your business somewhere else.

This was my first trip back to Nose Dive after their recent renovation. The new décor is spot on and absolutely loved the Nano wall, opened facing Main Street. We started with the Pork Nachos and the Poutine. Nacho’s were great and the Poutine was so very tasty, it was a short rib gravy with shredded short rib meat. My only critique would be the ratio of fries to the gravy and cheese curd. Needs to have more gravy. Had the Hanger steak for dinner and it was delicious, very tender. Top that off with a couple Moscow Mules and this dinner gets 5 Stars!

I’ve frequented Nose Dive many times prior to renovation and had dinner last night to see what’s new. This review is for dinner in the downstairs only. That said, first impressions were good, the space definitely has had an upgrade and it feels slightly more upscale while maintaining it’s accessible roots. The openings they put in are definitely a plus. The food is what got me. I thought they brought the Soby’s chef over which would normally be a good sign since Soby’s is one of our favorite places. I ordered the seared salmon as my entrée($ 24) medium rare/medium. It menu has it listed as seared salmon, pork belly fried rice, vegetables, cilantro, and pickled cucumber salad. What I got was a tiny, over cooked piece of salmon on top of a massive portion of the pork belly fried rice. No vegetables, cilantro, or cucumber salad(which I asked for later). Apparently the vegetables are the bits of carrot, zucchini and onion included in the rice(misleading and slightly disappointing). Bottom line, it was a poorly cooked lunch portion missing components that I’m very sad I paid $ 24 for. I did get the bacon brownie though, and it was delicious as always. One bit of redemption. I’m writing this because I want this place to do well and last. Given this experience I have no desire to return for dinner.

A great traditional American pub like establishment with a modern feel. Big windows while located on Main Street makes Nose Dive a great brunch spot for people watching. Being in Greenville you can’t be more central than being right on Main Street. The location alone makes this a 5 star restaurant. Now to the food; again it’s traditional yet has some modem twists. The spicy chicken sandwich was great, packed with flavors. Another great dish we tried was the Chicken & waffles, which to me was the heat plate on the menu. The flavorful and very mildly spicy chicken with subtle sweet waffles was a great combination. Of course you can’t get enough of the mimosas, especially considering the glass was only 4 each and the carafe(holding almost 4 glasses was 12). But have to add that the ratio of orange juice to the champagne made the mimosas a little too sweet. They need to up the champagne portion. Being centrally located do expect a wait time unless you have made reservations. We hadn’t so there was a 35 min wait but their wait system is great. They take your number and text you when your table is ready. Meanwhile there’s a lot to do nearby(helps with the wait time). Being a popular brunch place in Greenville and being a hotel restaurant, it’s busy and hence the service is a bit slower. But again it’s a fun place where you can easily enjoy brunch with family & friends without any rush.

We stopped in after downtown alive on a Thursday. We assumed it would be super packed but it was in fact the opposite, we were seated right away(4 of us). Our waiter was friendly and helpful. He also had a great accent(Australian?). I ordered the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and omg, both were so good! The grilled cheese had mushrooms, onions and spinach in it. I don’t remember being very interested in the rest of the menu, but I would 100% go back for that grilled cheese!

This place has a nice atmosphere with a comfortable upstairs bar. Went for some appetizers as opposed to a full meal 1st was the smoked salmon dip platter with chips. This was the wrong starter. Chips were stale and no salmon was to be found in our dip. This was sent back. I felt like this was from local grocery store or SAMs club 2nd was the hummus and olive appetizer. Now the hummus was truly delicious. The focaccia bread was crisp and tasty but the accompanying olives had pits. They were good but seriously –who wants to nibble around or spit out pits! 3rd as meal we shared a shrimp burger It was pretty bland it was hard to taste the shrimp and probably over done. The staff was good and the Catawba«peanut butter and jelly» beer was delicious! Otherwise I don’t think I’ll go back anytime soon

This place was awesome. Our server knew the menu so well, and gave us samples of the beer to help us decide. He helped us pick an amazing lunch too! The prices are great and the food was delicious!!! I can’t say enough nice things about this place!!! Will deff be going back!!!

Stopped in here for a meal while business traveling. They had outdoor seating that was very nice and not right on the sidewalk. Their beer specials were good and I had a local brown for $ 4 a pint. For dinner I had the hanger steak with mushrooms and brussel sprouts and it was all pretty tasty. The steak had some rough spots, but that may have been because I had them under cook it. My service was great and it was pretty affordable. Dinner and 2 beers was $ 27.

I want to like this place, now my 3rd time here. Good beer and wine selection, my friend got the fish and chips, and said it was good. I went for the Thai Beef Curry with vegetables over Jasmine rice. It was 95% rice(not really Jasmine), 2% beef, 2% curry, and 1% vegetables. The 2 – 3 small bites of beef were good, and the curry had a nice flavor. But it got lost in the huge mountain of rice. I think it was $ 15, should have cost $ 3. We sat at the bar, service was great. I guess since the word«Pub» is in the name, I should just order the fish and chips. Meh

We had a great experience here. I booked a reservation through Open Table since it was the Saturday night of Valentine’s Day weekend. We were seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was nice. The menu looked great. We had some fried oysters for an appetizer, and they were fabulous. The salad was fresh. I had duck with mashed sweet potatoes(this was a special — it was not on the regular menu but should be!) I ordered it medium rare, and it came out rare. Not a complaint — I loved it anyway and will always err on the rarer side when it comes to meat. We’d come back if we were local!

Woah what just happened! This place failed miserably tonight. This is one of the worst dining experiences in recent memory. This is really bad for me because Greenville to me is the embodiment of hospitality. Tonight’s experience does not come close to the high expectations I have for service downtown. Service: Our server took a little while to greet us. She had a good attitude and came across excited and eager to serve. Decent sign right… Nope, that’s about where it ended. First the restaurant was out of the grit tots. So we went with the pretzel and beer cheese appetizer(ho hum, nothing special but acceptable). Like I said the server was off to a decent start but then after a long wait she stopped by our table to inform us and I quote«I swear your burgers will be right out.» Then we waited for at least 20 more minutes. Food: When the food finally arrived the burgers were dry, no juice; the cheese was cold and you could tell they had been sitting waiting for plating. The manager«Holly» stopped by the table and proceeded to ask us if everything was good(something tells me she knew everything was not good). Then she repetitively asked us if there was anything else she could get for us. We proceeded to explain all of the issues, specifically the long wait and the poor food quality. It was clear the manager was not prepared for handling complaints. She offered no resolution and more importantly did not apologize. Our server returned to try and mend the wounds but it was too little too late. It should be noted that the server(not the manager) took care of the bill. My wife gave her a cash tip and hugged her because the server was in tears(unknown why she was tears). So first I have some advice for consumers; simple don’t bother. Next, advice for Holly. LEARN(Listen, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Nurture). You need additional training. Your not ready for prime time. Finally for the restaurant; rethink your training program.

Wow, can’t believe it’s been three years since we’ve eaten here, but I suppose it’s not surprising given the number of choices downtown. Once again, the food was freshly prepared, very tasty, and served promptly. Highly recommend the grilled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries.

Did some Unilocaling before going out to dinner in this unknown city. Nose Dive seemed like a place w decent reviews and had a good menu to choose from. Apps: Tried the Deviled Eggs 3 Ways. — i dont eat deviled eggs normally. Plate came with: chicken salad egg, cheesy egg and normal deviled egg. i give it a 3 stars Black Eyed Peas Hummus: — first time trying — i enjoyed it, very good with an odd but refrehsing flavor. I give it 4 stars Dinner: BROUMANACHICKENSANDWICH Lebanese-Spiced Chicken, Mix Veggies, Pickles & Tahini GF* — this was AMAZING. surprisingly yummy and unique flavors. i was hesitant but this was pretty good and you get a side. I DEF got the HERBTATERTOTS. — they were big, bigger than normal tots and had a great taste to them. 5 stars Co worker ordered the Mussels app as an entrée and for the ‘Mussel Snob’ she said she is, she said it was a decent plate of mussels and would order again. Looking for greens — we split the Southener Salad. fillled with goat cheese(YUM) and friend green tomatoes. this is a great salad, I would order that again and again!
