Great customer service! Fresh food, clean, well stocked. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful — «try this sauce» and«did you know…» Definitely would recommend!

My first time and I really enjoyed! The staff was very friendly and the food is very Good & Fresh. You just pick-out ingredients you like and want! I love Tai Noodles, Beef and Calimari was my favorite. I like to add lots of Veggies: Spinach, Squash, Celery, Onions, Water Chestnuts for CRUNCH!(Oh and don’t forget some Mushrooms) Key is the Sauce Mixture. I stuck to the Menu above sauces which gives you the Recipe… Sweet Chili Sauce, Garlic Sauce, Lime, Peanut Sauce… then added little Terriaki … Perfect Blend. You make as spicey as you like. I’m mid-heat. Then the guys at grill cook in front of you. Get out and try something New and Different. You are the Master of your Craft! :D Oh… and it’s «All you can Eat» … so bring your Appetite! As much or little as you please.

I eat here frequently for lunch during the week. I love trying my own mix-and-match bowl, then going back and making one of the recommended mixings when mine ultimately fails. This place can be a quick lunch, or it can take as long as you want. The experience is largely up to you.

As far as my experience with Mongolian Grills, this one was exceptionally clean and the food selection very fresh. What made this experience remarkable was grill master Tommy. Not only was he quick, courteous and competent, he seemed genuinely happy to be here. The kids loved him too. The wait staff was also professional and courteous. Unusual for a buffet style restaurant. Will definitely come back soon based on this positive experience.

Let’s start by saying that I love Mongolian food, and was seriously impressed when Hu Hot first opened in Greenville. However, the last few times I have eaten here the service has been horrible and the place seems dirty. It’s almost like they don’t have enough staff for the weekend. The grill takes forever and they tend to run out of items on the line quite often. You have to pay special attention to make sure the grill doesn’t mix your food up with some one else’s. All in all, a great place to eat, as long as they are not too busy. If they are busy. Lower your expectations…

Let me start by saying this is our 3rd or 4th trip here. This was my sons favorite. Prior to tonight they would have gotten a 3 star review. Tonight they would get negative stars. We ordered a appetizer and soups. Had to wait for plates to eat the appetizers as they were out of plates. This would become a theme for the night, we are out of it. After finally getting to eat our appetizer, we headed to the food line. They were out of chicken, pork and meatballs in the protein section. We looked for anyone that might be going to fill it up, no one was to be found. Next onto the veggies, out of onions, green peppers and peas. Took what we could and headed to sauces. Half the sauces were extremely low so you could not ladle any out. 2 in particular were totally out. Still no one refilling. Headed to cooking station and waited for food to be cooked. Guess what happened when my food was done, no plates to put it on. Finally the dishwasher brought more plates so were free to go. Got to the table and proceeded to eat. Soon our daughter needed a refill on her drink, guess what comes next. No clean glasses. I had had my fill so I asked for the bill. There were six of us(2 adults and 412& under) that night and the bill before tip was $ 110. No alcohol, 4 drinks, an appetizer, and 6 buffets for $ 110. Told my son to get an extra plate because tonight was last visit.

Food was just okay, choices are somewhat bizarre. Corn, potatoes, and sausage in stir fry? Cooking took a long time. We saw the server at the beginning of the meal and again when she brought our check, that’s it. And we were there for over an hour. She never brought refills, our soup or salad that we ordered, and did not offer or ask if we needed anything else when bringing the check. Then we sat for almost 10 minutes awaiting her to take our check, which by the way was incredibly over-priced for the food quality. This place is like the Golden Corral of Asian food. Ghengis Grill is much better and just down the road. Go there instead!

One star only because I can’t go lower. Where to start… after an awkward wait to be seated and wondering how many different people would touch my fork, we were given directions on how to proceed. Our waiter talked so fast that we caught about one third of what he said. Everything at the bar was frozen. I can understand the health concerns, but some items were still cold after being cooked. We had to wait on «clean bowls» for our soups. We had to request the rice that came with the meal. The egg drop soup was more than bland. The rice was mediocre. After sitting with an empty glass, I had to ask for a refill. I’m not sure where our waiter hid while we were there. I was looking forward to eating here. It was disappointing. I would not go back.

the food is good. I like that you can watch your own created meal be cooked but the service is terrible. You’re seated very quickly most times but I didn’t see my server until I was ready to pay. That means no drink, refills or any other services the entire time! They are never slam-packed to the point where a server can’t come to your table. If they are under staffed then something should be done immediately. I have had this problem multiple times and it’s beginning to become not worth going.

Two days later and we gave it another shot. Met with Larry the manager tonight. Extremely friendly and very concerned manager. This is a night and day experience from the other night. Everything was delicious, service was fantastic. You can always tell people who take pride in what they do. Thank you for restoring our faith. You have re-earned our business!

Too bad I can’t give this place a ZERO. Dirty floors, ice on floor, food, trash, dirty tables. Managers have no clue. Kitchen area is worse. Sticky floors, disgusting counters. Cooks barking at each other about non restaurant things, personal inside jokes, inappropriate phrases, dirty dishes stacked and overflowing in grill area. It was ridiculous. Not to mention that I waited over 10 minutes both trips to the grill for my food. And then they were OUT of rice! What the heck kind of Asian place runs out of rice? Don’t go. It’s not worth it. For two adults with nothing but dinner plates and sodas it was $ 35. Insane!!! Then there’s a tip for the server and the cooks have a tip jar out, too. No, no, no,…and NO. WEWONTGOBACK. DONTWASTEYOURTIME.

I’m going to start with the floor which felt greasy and slick. The food, while decent, cannot make up, in my opinion, for the weird layout of the seating area which required us to walk all the way down the path and circle all the way back to get to the food area… the food, while decent, does not make up for the wait service who gave us our menus then asked for them back after 90 seconds so they could give them to another party since the restaurant was so full(it wasn’t that full), and it doesn’t make up for the weird way we had to stand looped around the sauce area. I’m not impressed, I wanted to be, but I wasn’t.

I was so nervous because people have complained about the service. I went today about 430 and it wasn’t busy at all. Our server Markia was AWESOME!!! she stayed on top of us. My drink never went empty and she was fast with the clean up. The food was really good. The best part is i made super small bowls so I can go multiple times and try different options. We also ordered the cheesecake wontons. Wow– it was spectacular! Everyone is comparing to ghengis grill so I will too. Biggest differences: no shrimp on bar. You don’t have tasting spoons for sauces. You wait for your food to be cooked instead of it being brought to you. The meal comes with a soup or salad and they only give you a bowl of white rice instead of having a carb option like ghengis. There is however noodles on the bar and it’s unlimited so price is a little higher. There is no 1 bowl option. It’s $ 13 for dinner and they don’t provide easy to make recipe cards like ghengis. Overall I will return, It was pretty good food. Better than ghengis? I’m going to say they are pretty even. Both good

After reading some of the reviews, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try HuHot; but I’m sure glad I did. The variety of meats and vegetables was outstanding, and I understand that dinner has even more. But, it was the sauces that won me over. They have a great selection that range from«wimpy» to Khan’s Revenge, which is quite hot. They also have recipe cards that help you customize your sauce. I really enjoyed«Fire in the Hole» The dining area is very well-appointed, the staff was attentive, and the cooks were very personable. Give them a try. I think you’ll like them.

The first to we went, not so impressed… we just weren’t sure about it. It is very like Ghengis grill, BUT HuHut has +++. One price and go up as many times as you want, much more variety, much more seating, staff was very helpful. One negative… I personally don’t want to stand there and wait for my food to be cooked or watch it be cooked… I would rather take a number… I didn’t care for the egg rolls, but loved the won ton pot stickers, and we DID have fun with the s’mores dessert!!! I would recommend this restaurant.

The only thing positive about HuHot is the food. The service from the time we came in until the time we left was horrible. We waited at the front welcome counter for a good five minutes before we were greeted. When we we sat our server came up to the table and asked if we had ever been here before. After answering she said ok and walked away without taking our drink order or providing any information. The cooks were a positive. They were very personable and seemed to be having a good time. Overall the restaurant was very dirty and the service was horrible. We won’t be returning.

Five stars on service This Mongolian grill is all you can eat You start out choosing your meat then starch then veggies then sauce and they cook it Genghis grill has them beat on organization and layout Their appetizers are good but I did not like sauce that is served with them and couldn’t find a sauce among the bar that suited my tastes buds. I like how their meat is sliced in thin consistent fillets rather than chunks like genghis I don’t like how they cook your creation. Everything in your bowl gets thrown on grill including the starch. There are no barriers between yours and someone else’s so their sauce could get into yours and they don’t add water to add steam to cook your veggies through it just dried it out. Oh and they don’t offer any selection of dried spices except the s&p on table. I will not return.

I’m so torn on how to rate HuHot, even now that I’ve been there twice — once the week they opened, and once this past weekend. Both times, the service was horrendous. Drinks took forever and refills were slow in coming. The first time, our appetizers came out after we’d already been up to the buffet once(we even had time to eat most of our first bowls). The second time, our egg drop soup(which was basically just really salty broth with a bit of egg in it) came out just minutes before they served our dessert, despite having ordered it along with our drinks. I will say that the manager did apologize and give us 20% off our bill without us even having to complain; honestly that’s probably the main reason I’ll actually go back to this restaurant. The people working the grill are great and friendly, too. The meat isn’t of the best quality, but it is a buffet after all. The quality and selection of veggies is awesome, though, and there are tons of good sauces to choose from. Additionally, the price is great for all-you-can-eat, and the restaurant is clean and pleasant. I think HuHot has potential and I’d like to see them fix their issues with service. Even at a place like this I’m likely to tip 20% if the service is good. I know most people don’t feel that way but if they don’t improve soon they’re not going to last much longer, especially with the very similar Genghis Grill so close by.

I really want to like this place, but their system is horrible. I went here for lunch on a Sunday. My wife and I have a small kid, so we knew we wouldn’t be able to go through the line together. Little did we know that we wouldn’t even really eat together. It took about 20 mins to get through the lines to get your food cooked, then you had to wait while they cooked it. We ended up trading turns to sit down and eat. The area that they have you wait in line for the grill is crowded. Like other reviewers mentioned, food is not the best quality. All frozen(think steak-ums style meat). This place is about quantity and not quality. Which I can be OK with if they could get their lines and cooking process figured out. It will be awhile before I come back. I’d rather spend my time across the street at Ghengis.
