I stopped by with a pair of boots because I was concerned with how the bottoms were wearing. I was thinking they needed to be re-​soled, however, they told me the heels really weren’t bad and pointed me in the direction of a cheaper alternative. He also buffed and shined then while I stood there. $ 11 and 5 minutes later, I have shiny boots with reinforced heels. I was expecting to have to leave them and pick them back up days later.
Businesses like these are such a dying art and I’m happy that we have such a great option in this area. I usually opt to buy fewer shoes but of higher quality and am relieved to know I have easy access to people who understand and appreciate a well made shoe and can advise me on how to keep them maintained for years to come.
