Firehouse Subs

Not sure what the other low review is about. I’ve been to this location upwards of ten times now and the food has been awesome each time. The cost is a (little) bit more than Subway or JJ but I am more than willing to pay a few dollars more for quality tasting food and personable staff that acts like they actually give a crap about their job/​customers. The staff is very friendly and always comes around and checks to ask how my food and experience was (major brownie points).

Disappointed.
The place was nice and new looking, with lots of cars in th parking lot when we arrived. The menu featured big sandwiches with lots of meat, and most of the sub combos were $ 8.50 and up… which seemed pricey, but the pictures looked like it might be worth it.
It wasn’t.
I got the Club sub. I was surprised by how little meat was on it. I actually considered taking it back and complaining. It was the same or less than a similar sandwich at Jimmy John’s (costing a couple dollars less).
My friend ordered the philly steak sandwich (which at least had a bit more meat than mine did), but said it wasn’t better than the same sandwich he had gotten from Arby’s the week before (but Arby’s version was $ 4, not 8.50).
Seems like all their combos are overpriced by about $ 1.50−2.00.
I won’t be coming back, since I can get pretty much the same thing for a few dollars cheaper at Jersey Mike’s or Jimmy John’s.
However, I will note that the staff at this location were great. They can’t be faulted for an overpriced menu handed down by the franchise.
