Who doesn’t enjoy a great scavenger hunt? How can one possibly deny themselves a look around a shop displaying lots of never seen before items while Sinatra tunes are playing in the background! UFO is more than the name implies. You will find all sorts of items besides furniture under the roof of this historic building. That’s exactly the beauty of this place. Inventory changes almost daily if not weekly. The place is fairly large and has enough open space to allow one to stop and browse without bumping into other people or displays. Today I saw clothing, furniture, old cookbooks, albums, glassware, collectible stamp collections, jewelry, framed pictures, and so much more. There are individual booths and vendors displaying their goods and they will often post any promotions their booth is offering. If there isn’t any signage posted ask at the front check-out area if a discount is available. UFO is a fun place to explore with others or it can be one of those places you feel like taking the time to freely immerse yourself into rows upon rows of stuff to see and touch without any hurry.

Okay but there wasn’t any treasure for me when I was there. Lots to look at, good prices.

I really want to be able to give the UFO(Used Furniture Outlet) a better review. The people who own it/work there have always been so accommodating and friendly to me and I haven’t ever left there empty handed. Think of an antique store going out to the club, falling in love with a swap meet, and then having a little baby that’s half flea-market and half thrift store. The building is old and creaky, and honestly a little water damaged. There just always seems to be water pouring from the ceiling into some sort of bucket. The only reason this concerns me is that you are buying items from this establishment and well, a mildewed and water stained piece of furniture can be picked up from the side of the road. The prices are extremely low. You can find a lot of really weird, although not particularly valuable pieces here. It takes a bit of searching but you can really find some hilarious items and some really kitschy housewares. It’s worth checking out, especially if you’re looking for some weird decorative stuff for your home. I have to admit though, since they stop carrying all the old books I haven’t been back nearly as much.
