This kings has been here forever and is now closed. The staff was always inviting, kind, knew you by name. A gas station will be going in its place:(

I went to breakfast with a friend a couple of weeks ago, and she suggested King’s. I’m new to the area, but was interested in alternatives to IHOP, so away we went. Walking into King’s is like time traveling. Hello, 1950s diner! Tables/carpet/etc. weren’t as clean as you’d hope for, but service was friendly, and prices are super cheap. For under $ 6, I received: two potato pancakes, two over-medium eggs, applesauce, 2 pieces of toast, and a piece of sausage. I couldn’t possibly eat it all. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad, especially considering the price. I think I’ll return to IHOP for my breakfast-at-random-points-in-the-day needs, but I could definitely be convinced to give King’s another chance.

Came here twice. First time there was a hair on top of our salt shaker. Second time there was hair on my piece of bacon. Absolutely gross!

I was in town visiting my Grandmother and my Great Aunt. We took them to Kings for breakfast because it is one of their favorite places. Lauren, a blonde girl, was our server. Mind you my Grandmother is 84 and my Great Aunt is 95 so ordering took longer then most times. Lauren was fantastic with them both. She made suggestions for both since they had special requests as well as was very patient for how long we took. It was excellent service and the kindness and patience she had with my grandma and great aunt wont be forgotten.

Table dirty. Pointed it out, but they didn’t care. Waiter didn’t know what veggies they had, reordered them twice. Table next to us remained dirty with old food the entire meal-plenty of people walking around, not caring. Male came w veggies actual burnt, like black! I asked manager how anyone could bring out food and not see it was burnt he said he didn’t know.

Great service and extra friendly(which can be rare in West PA, unfortunately). A mother-daughter waitressing tag-team treated us like family. Great breakfast(all day), pot roast, ice cream and so on. Priced just right, another reason for their many years of success. Yinz hungry?!

King’s is a small chain of restaurants based in western Pennsylvania and Ohio. They offer up a fairly good breakfast at unbelievably low prices, and their selection of pies and ice cream based desserts is definitely worth a look. I had their Wake-up breakfast which came with two slices of bacon, hash browns, two eggs which I took to be scrambled, two hotcakes, and wheat toast all for $ 5.59. Now that is a value! And the food is good too. I loved my fluffy pancakes for example. The rest of the meal was consistent with diner fare. Service was especially friendly and adept. Clientele was a motley group of locals with several of them dressed for hunting season. Ambience was very laid back, and conversations naturally occurred between tables — real down home. Upon leaving, I noticed they sold pies, and decided to pick up a pumpkin pie for $ 7.69. Fantastic decision as it ended up being one of the best pumpkin pies I ever had. Recommend for a friendly breakfast spot.
