The one thing I do like about this Barnes & Noble is the fact that I can enter the store, and exit the store, without spending a dime! How this particular branch of this huge company remains open baffles even the most astute minds. Between the oddball, «quirky» staff, the lousy music, and the overwhelmingly high prices of books that can be found a much cheaper elsewhere, the store gis a failure. At least one can browse in anonymity because the sales people or unfriendly and looking to disappear into the back room to goof around. They seem to be doing away with books and instead seem to be focused more on becoming a playground for little kids. These kids are loud and generally unruly with evidence of the poor parenting that occurs nowadays. Valuable book space is being lost too expensive and overpriced sets of toys. Most recently, I was in the store and they book almost fell and hit me. Rather than ask me if I was all right or if I had been injured, the sales attendant instead made an awkward joke. When I told her that she was the first person to approach me in one hour of being in the store, she asked me what I wanted. naturally they did not have what I wanted in stock and she offered to order from me guaranteed me at least two weeks. I told her I would rather go to Amazon and she walked away without even«have a nice day.» Save money and go elsewhere like half-price books in Monroeville.

An average Barnes and Noble. They do have a Starbucks inside and the store is a decent size. The book selection is ok but not the best. Since there is no bookstore in the mall anymore, I think this may be one of Greensburg’s last ones around.

I don’t get to read much that’s not a textbook these days, but Barnes & Noble is still one of my happy places. Wandering through always makes me happy. This location lives up to the ones I’ve loved in other cities– solid book selection and helpful employees. This store isn’t quite as Nook-centered as others, which is nice if you aren’t a Nook owner.(I like e-books, but for me the whole point of brick-and-mortar bookstores is looking at the real paper kind). I love perusing the discount sections, and usually come away with something fun. The café at this location is large and has good service; it’s usually pretty crowded, though. I’m a fan. Sure, it’s a bookstore catered to the masses, but reading is a GOOD thing to cater to the masses, right?

Solid Barnes & Noble. Big enough to give a whole selection of books, but not as huge and nice as some of the other stores I have seen i. e Waterworks.
