This place comes off as a run of the mill Mexican Restaurant. The food was mediocre at best and the service has a lot to be desired. A person who I assumed was the owner or at least a manager was too busy socializing with friends that was totally unaware of what was going on at other tables. Such as people waiting to have there orders taken or long waits for their drinks or refills. I have no intentions of trying this place again

I like surprises. Maria’s Cantina surprised all of us with each and every aspect of our dinner. The salsa, the queso, the margaritas, the entrees, and the service were all top-shelf. Our only wish is for a «combo-platter» option. We had another Mexican favorite in the area, but that changed with our first visit to Maria’s.

Chicken quesadilla was well spiced and had a smokey flavor that we really enjoyed. Fajitas were good if a little under seasoned. Skinny margarita was delicious. Great place to watch NFL football as every game was on a big screen.

Shrimp tacos were very good. Staff was pleasant and kind. If you are not a big fan of cilantro I would let the server know it seemed to be used heavily in many of the dishes. Kids menu could use improvement. Lowest price dish was 8.99 and not much different from the regular menu. Overall good experience but did not wow me.

terrible service. Waited very long for food to come out. I hope this is because of opening problems. Haven’t been back.

Greensboro isn’t exactly known as a bustling metropolis. Which is the way they like it, but it leaves food options at a minimal. This little cantina is new since my last visit, so let’s go! Andale! I am very excited to share that the special of the day, the Farmer’s Daughter quesadilla, was probably one of the best quesadilla’s I’ve ever had. This delightful concoction was bursting with squash, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, grilled chicken, and just the right amount of cheese. Lovely! But beyond all the goodies packed inside was the execution of this delight. It was GBD without being oily/greasy and served so that you could eat it without the middles falling out. A great big plus! It was served with your typical guacamole salad, but it was still on point because it was so fresh. I also need to point out that this place actually shreds romaine so that you can actually eat it. I know, right? Color me impressed! Complementary to all tables is a bowl of salsa verde and roasted salsa. These are all made onsite and super fresh and tasty. The chips themselves were intriguing, as they were really tiny compared to standard tortilla chips. So, Maria’s Cantina… I hope you’re prepared because I’m definitely coming back. With a van load of hungry people.

Another great meal at Maria’s! Chicken tortilla soup was delicious… just enough kick! Chili relleno stuffed with spicy beef and veggies was awesome… big and tasty. Negra Modelo on draft… good choice. Plenty of tv’s to watch your favorite team!

The Mahi tacos were too fishy tasting. Not fresh at all. That said, service and atmosphere were good.

I wish I could give it a 4.5. The margaritas are excellent and my dish was very good. I had the special of the day, chicken quesadillas with poblanos and grilled vegetables. Excellent flavor and plenty of food. I even got to take some home. My husband got green enchiladas. His meal looked very good, but it was not as good as it looked. Not bad, but not great, like mine. The staff was very peasant, helpful, and professional. The building was a bit odd, where you have to go around the«front“of the building to the main entrance, which is located in the side. Once you get around to the side, the appearance is much more inviting. Food(flavor/appearance) — 4 Staff — 5 Atmosphere — 4 Cleanliness — 5

Horrible experience! Customer service was atrocious! Do not waste your time. Only offering on Sunday was brunch — no regular menu items. Very disappointing experience!

This is excellent mexican food. Best mexican in town best in town since we have 5. The service is outstanding and the food is fresh! We both had fajitas 1 beef and 1 shrimp(they were big). The salsa homemade, the Graça mole was fresh and homemade. I really can’t say enough good things. They have outdoor seating too. I love this place and will tell my friends.

Dinner was great. Service was great. We had blackened mahi tacos, shrimp fajitos, and skinny margaritas(not real sweet — like they make in Mexico!). Salsas are fresh and obviously made on-site. Give the place a try… they are new this year and have worked through the«start-up» phase. I would not hesitate to go back. Dog friendly on the outside porch area too!

Service was very good. Brought food quickly. Almost all of our food was very good except anything that came with shredded chicken«chicken tinga.» Would come again.
