Pretty decent line up of tacos. Although I prefer more authentic traditional mexican tacos, Crafted still delivers some great grub and has a fun atmosphere with some great craft beer offerings.

The food is amazing! Like amazing. They have a Big Truck taco with Mac n cheese and pulled pork that is to die for. Yes folks I said Mac n cheese! Totally great. Chips and queso also great! However I took a star because of the staff. It’s hit or miss… most of the time the servers are kinda upity. Not very willing to answer questions.;(otherwise fantastic place for some good food!

I am truly happy to see that business is good. My wife and I would like to be considered knowledgeable in the art if eating Mexican food and with its many variations, upper end, or on a stand in an open street, at the beach you name it. I just wonder… if you say you are not a Mexican restaurant why do you pretend you are good at making Tacos as an Art? Sorry we will bypass you next time we are in Greensboro. The art was on your decoration, not on the cold food or the oil soaked fries.

I love the food here. One star deducted for the smmmmmall space and long wait(99% of the time I try to go, there’s a wait so we end up leaving). We’ve even tried eating at the bar and customer service was lacking. Took forever to get our food. Take-out has been the only way to satisfy my cravings. It’s just not the same as eating in but it’ll do. My favs are the avocado appetizer and their fresh tortilla chips and salsa. The bow tie fish taco leaves me wanting more flavor. The spicy Korean taco with pineapple is really good! I prefer the food here over The Art of Street Food. I hope they move to a bigger building tho!

I’m not a taco person but I love the tacos here. So many awesome options. They have vegan tacos and burgers too. Good selection of beers. Draft beers come in mason jars. Great place to relax and chill on weekends. Only thing is they close a little early. Would love to have tacos late on weekends

If you haven’t been to Crafted, make plans immediately! The fresh quality ingredients really stand out! It’s well worth the wait. And they don’t just serve tacos. I’m a big fan of the Chori Burger. The queso and the chorizo were enough to win my heart, but the egg is what made me want to marry it.

So sorry to see this once great restaurant go so far downhill. I’ve eaten here at least 10 times, and it was my favorite place to eat in Greensboro. Went for dinner and so, so disappointed. It looks like the owner has spread herself too thin and can’t give this property the over site it used to have. Ordered the big truck taco and it was so cold, mac and cheese as well as the bbq. The sweet potato chips were so burnt we had to send them back. Even the second order was too burnt. It seems as if the fryer was set too high so the outside was buned and the inside was undercooked. I know how good this place can be, and that’s why we were so disappointed. Hope they get back on track soon.

Yum! We have been looking forward to this place for a while and I loved it. We had the fried avocado topped with chorizo and queso as an appetizer. It was awesome. My favorite part of the meal. The tortilla chips are flour tortillas and they are delicious. I got two tacos(bear with me, I forgot the names). One had Mac and cheese and pulled pork. The big truck, I think. It was so unique and delicious. The other taco had fried fish, corn, and salsa. It was also awesome. I got queso and chips for my side because I could not get enough of that queso! The service was friendly and fast. I also love that you can peek into the kitchen to check it all out while they cook. I can’t wait to go back!

What a great experience! From the hip décor and location to the fantastic tacos, the couple of times I’ve been there have been great. We’ve explored the menu among our family, having this and that, and have loved everything except the big thick nacho chips and salsa. They’re like greasy flour. Loooved the fish tacos. Loved.

This place is super cool and a great new hip spot for good beer and tacos. It’s a really nice gem in GSO when you’re looking for something special and not chain or contemporary. Word to the wise, be prepared to wait on weekend nights or get first come first serve at the bar. This place is small so make friends with your neighbors and enjoy the ride.

Affordable and yet another exciting twist on your standard Mexican fare. They had some really cool, creative options that I will indulge in next time. I had the«Fixie» Brisket taco sans taco and sauce, add guac. It was great. I really liked this place and thought it was a great find for our brief visit to Greenboro.

This restaurant was truly a disappointment. My boyfriend and I are adventurous and love to try new things so we thought this would be a good place to do so … We were wrong. Walking into Crafted– The Art of the Taco, you get a sense of nostalgia from the cool artsy light fixtures and paintings… That was great but the food; not so much. We decided to order the chips and salsa and three make your own tacos, each. The chips and salsa were not your typical chips and salsa. They were greasy, puffy, and sickening. Secondly, our tacos were so bland with absolutely no taste. Our order consisted of two chicken, two battered fish, one tofu, and one grilled fish. To be honest, we both love to eat, but our plates were still full and our stomachs were not. On another note, who puts radishes on tacos and the traditional toppings on the tacos were not good either. The tortilla shells were gross and basically the whole meal was a disappointment. I will not be returning to this restaurant because I can get much better, AUTHENTIC, Mexican cuisine elsewhere!

As a sucker for Mexican food, I had to try this place out. It’s located in downtown greensboro on Elm st. The restaurant has a unique style to it and the staff friendly and attentive, so much so I ordered a round for the kitchen, which is apparently the cool thing to do here. We opted for the stuffed avocado dip as a starter and were blown away by the taste. The dip was thick and fresh. The chips were AMAZING. Deep fried and crisp, loaded with flavor and easily my favorite part of the meal. I ordered the big truck tacos with cheese dip for the side. The tacos come loaded with pork, Mac and cheese, onions, scallions and flavorful BBQ sauce. I have zero complaints about this dish, absolutely none. The food was on point and serving size perfect. As you can expect, with fresh quality ingredients comes a premium price tag, but it is well worth it. I can’t think of many restaurants in the area with high quality tacos like Crafted. I would definitely recommend you give this business a shot.

Love this place! It’s always busy, especially on weekends, but believe me, the tacos are worth the wait! At this place, your biggest problem will be on deciding which tacos to order! I’ve tried many of them — all delicious, although my favorites are probably the Fedora(tuna) and Members Only(duck)! I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their ‘fusion’ tacos. I love their creativity in mixing different sauces and ingredients. My hubby and I also love the chips and guac as our appetizers. The chips are thick yet crispy… Like I said, we absolutely love this place. So, we keep wishing that they will come to Winston Salem… Lo and behold, we heard that they will open a location later this year in downtown! Yipppeeee!!! Thank you, Crafted! I look forward to devouring your delicious tacos more often!

The stuffed avocado appetizer at Crafted is to die for! It easily wins the most delicious appetizer I’ve ever had, hands down. The only downside to it is that it is a little tricky to eat. Trying to dig the homemade chips into the avocado breaks and crumbles the chips. It’s okay though… my hubby and I are always up for a deliciously challenging food to eat. I ordered the straight up tacos and combined the two styles to make a hybrid of the traditional and ‘mericanized. The tacos were a decent size and two was definitely enough for me. The queso dip that you can order as a side was really good. The homemade chips are really something special and are the perfect vehicle for the delicious stuffed avocado and the dips.

Best taco in downtown. Dont miss out. Friendly & fast service. Cold beer, good atmosphere, and if you like blue hair bartenders hey youre at the right place. I dig it, give it a try, you will dig it too.

It’s been nearly a year since we had a reason to drive the 4 hours to Greensboro, or rather, to Crafted, and the way was worth it! Love this place. Friendly staff, fantastic, crafted tacos(not Mexican) and that stuffed avocado starter that is to die for. It’s well worth the drive …

Finally made it in to this place around 2:15 pm on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. I tried several other times on my lunch break but wasn’t able to get in due to a long wait. I ordered the Big Truck tacos with chips and queso. The tacos had an extremely unique flavor that was surprisingly good considering the combination of ingredients. The chips and queso also had a very unique taste and again were surprisingly simple and good. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. After finally experiencing the food I understand the long wait. If I had more than an hour for lunch I would probably be a very frequent visitor.

I have the pleasure of visiting North Carolina a few times a year & fell in love with Crafted The Art of Taco. I am always so pleased with the food quality, friendly staff and great atmosphere. I highly recommend the avocado with chorizo appetizer and getting the greens on the side with your meal! Yum, wish I lived closer to go more often.

Been here numerous times… I’d love to say I have tried everything but after my 2nd or 3rd time I can’t seem to stop ordering the same thing! I love the bowtie tacos and order them every time we go here… I have yet to get sick of them… I will order them the next time we go! The quacamole and chips are great and I love that I can get mac and cheese with my tacos!

Had such high hopes about this place after hearing so much about it. This is def a place that i can mark off my list and never eat at again. The best thing about this place is the wonderful interior and décor of the place,. I really liked the artsy light fixture that looked like umbrellas. Sadly that was the only thing I liked about the place. The waitress took our orders wrong and the tacos were dry. I mean dry. They have sauces they put on the table for you to use but those don’t even help to moisten those tacos… I had 2 of the battered fish tacos and those things hurt to swallow. I also had a chorizo taco. it was nothing but dry meat, radishes and onion and salantro. Would of been nice if it was filled with cheese sauce or sour cream or something to bind everything together and not be so dry. I think Taco Bell is better tasting compared to this place.

Service was outstanding. The food delicious. Nice selection of beer on tap. Not a long wait for the food. I got the PoBoy and it was great. They had a issue with their phone and Internet causing credit cards accepted in a alternate fashion(via square) but this was all carefully explained by the person in charge of accepting the payments. Cozy restaurant that seems bigger than it is.

The box truck is amazing! I always get it and all the sides I try with it are amazing. Their food is fun and interesting. The only issue is that it gets a little crowded on weekends because it’s so small. But it’s never too bad because the foods so fast out of the kitchen.

Oh crafted… In my opinion is just a hit or miss kind of thing. I have been a couple of times. The first time it was not very busy, friendly staff, everything was fine. I had the brunch and it was delicious. I ordered huevos rancheros with veggie chorizo. Very tasty! The second time we were told the wait for a table was 10 minutes, 30 minutes later I asked what was the status of the table and the hostess looked nervous, she looked at the notebook and they had seated everyone after us but they forgot to seat us. She tells me to follow her to our table, we sit down and another girl comes up with other people and they both look at each other, then they asked me if I would mind standing up and giving the table back to them because they had already told those people that was their table… what? I asked what was the wait like for the new table and they said 10 – 15 minutes, so I told them I was not going anywhere… We ordered chips and salsa and I was very disappointed. The chips were flour chips, they didn’t taste very good. The salsa was to very fresh, you could tell they use tomato paste or something canned because it tasted nasty. We ordered about 8 different tacos to try them all out and out of the 4 I tried, I only liked the falafel and the chorizo, all the other vegetarian options were pretty meh. I don’t think I will be going back though.

Ok, I swear I reviewed this place earlier, but i don’t see it anymore. SO i’m going to go ahead and RE-review because i went again, and it STILL disappointed. For some reason, i truly can’t comprehend, this place is like THE hot spot in greensboro. everyone just raves about crafted and I can’t seem to understand why. First off, service was not good. the restaurant is always packed so the servers are running around everywhere and aren’t personable at all. No effort was made to actually talk to you. Second, the chips are like fried so they’re puffed and it’s weird. Not tasty, very oily. OH and third and most important? Tacos were so so so bland. I made my own and got one with the carnitas and it was just so wet and flavorless. My taco was super soggy because of the pork and it just tasted like nothing. I couldn’t even get my boyfriend to finish it for me(and he usually will eat all my leftovers). He also did not like his tacos. He especially hated on the famed ‘bowtie’ taco. Word to the wise: skip this place and head to el camino real for some tastier, less expensive tacos.

Crafted is located in a unique building filled with character in downtown Greensboro. The food was great and the service was helpful. We started off with the baked pimento cheese, because the south, with freshly fried tortillas. It came out bubbling hot and was delicious. After that I was onto the Crab Cake eggs Benedict. The crab cakes were heavy on the crab and light on the bread crumbs, as they should be. The hollandaise sauce was filled with dill and appropriate for the location. I was a bit sad to miss out on the tacos het because I hear they are fantastic, but overall brunch was a delight. I hope to return the next time I visit Greensboro!

This place was recommended to me by several people. Given that I like food and tacos, I naturally had to try this place out. That being said, it was the first place I deliberately sought out upon moving to Greensboro. I have since, tried it twice, and while the food is pretty good here, I have had better experiences overall. First, this place does not really serve Mexican food, it is a taco joint, and the advertising for this place makes sure to indicate as much. My take is that it is more of an experimental taco joint, because they have quite an eclectic group of menu items here, and some of the things they put in them include beef brisket, mac and cheese, duck, cajun shrimp, and kimchee. Needless to say, this is an interesting place. The first time I came here, I ended up not craving any of the taco’s on the menu and given that I had just moved to Greensboro and my stomach was turning on me, I felt I needed to take it easy. So I got the Crafted salad with a side of the mac and cheese. The salad was very tasty and I really enjoyed the fact that they had ample helpings of their premium toppings scattered throughout. Since I have have had my share of green dominated salads before, that makes this one special. The mac and cheese is slightly spicy, but extremely cheesy and milky. I really enjoyed it. The second time I came here, I was a little bit more daring and I tried their Members Only taco. Golly, it was great. It is a bit spicy as well, and to tell you the truth, I was a little scared to try it since I avoid that type of food. However I decided to go for it and it was worth it. It wasn’t as spicy as I was expecting, but it still led me to seek out extra helping of water. All in all, the food here is excellent. The prices, customer service, and the location, however leave something to be desired. First, let me tell you that the place gets very crowded on the weekends and at night. To be fair, this is not a big deal to me, since it is a trendy place, and the food is good, so I get it. Second, the prices are a little extreme. The food and beer here are a bit pricey for me to come here regularly, but then again, everything served here is pretty good. However the customer service is spotty. Both times I came, there was a noticeable lag in regards to getting my drink refilled. This was especially true of my second visit when I was downing glasses of water every 5 minutes. Second, I observed one of the servers getting impatient with me, due to my inability to hear her. Its loud in there, and I am also hearing impaired, so her conduct was unacceptable. I’ll give it a pass for now considering how busy it was but if I run into it again, I will be sure to let you all know.

Busy day yesterday, but I was craving tacos so I got take out from Crafted. I’d eaten there before and remembered how yummy the shrimp tacos(po boy) were. They were just as delicious this time, although a little cold but that was probably cause it took me a little longer to get there than I had planned. So yes, the tacos were yummy. I don’t know how they prepared the pickles for them but they were an added little punch that I love. The only thing I really don’t like about the food here is their«corn» chips. When I eat tacos, I love to eat them with corn chips that are crunchy… but they prepare them in some way that makes them more like soft soft chips. I just don’t care for them. Next time I will choose a different side. Otherwise… yum yum!

We were here for lunch. The restaurant is unusual, both in terms of ambiance and menu. We tried the messenger taco with Pico, pimento cheese grit with shrimp and burger with hash. The burger was delicious whereas the other 2 dishes were just ok. The service was quick and courteous.

Awesome food place to go eat at. I’ve never been disappointed anytime I go there. The chips are different there than your average chips you’ll get at a taco place, still good though. The fries are a good side too. I’ve been a few times for taco Tuesday. I mean $ 2 tacos, who can complain??? The chorizo is a good choice for your meat. I just went last night and I think I found my new favorite taco there… THEBIGTRUCK!

So far the most solid place I have been regarding Tacos. I must say that I mostly never eat at mexican place anymore. To be honest, I tried different ones in NC and they ALL taste the same. It’s just like they are sharing the same industrial food provider. Here a lot is homemade and the ingredients are high quality. I especially like the homemade potatoe chips. Moreover the number of choices is really good and not boring with interesting combinations. So far the Oxford is my favorite. This is my next: . Tacos Members Only . Churros You will probably have to wait a little if you go during the rush hour, but not a big deal if you are not alone.

The king of Mexican street foods makes a good showing at this Greensboro spot. The tacos can be had as their traditional versions in corn tortillas, or in its American incarnation with flour tortillas. Each version comes with slightly different filling combinations; each is equally delicious. I enjoyed my meal; the tacos at Crafted are solid with carefully thought out composition. I did not enjoy the size of the tacos(a bit overfilled for my taste). They tend to be unnecessarily messy(tacos are handy, street meals that should be easy to handle). The specialty tacos come in intriguing combinations. Based on my experience with the traditional tacos, I expect these to be equally well-designed and tested. The service was adequate. It was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night at the bar. It took a bit of time to get the attention of the bartender in order to get my food. But this was understandable because of the large crowd here. I’m looking forward to another visit and to another star added to this friendly, delicious taco joint. A good experience for sure!

Well, I finally made it back here for lunch with a friend who had not eaten here before & was anxious to try out the food. We started with the Mason of Bacon($ 7.95), and it wasn’t quite what I’d hoped. I guess I was expecting the bacon to be more coated in caramel, but it was very lightly covered, and the dipping sauce was ok, but rather thin. I tried 2 tacos($ 8.95 with a side) — the Beer Battered Fish and a Braised Beef — both the«Mercanized» versions. The fish taco was solid, nice fish flavor, but there is no real zip to the taco, and I was surprised to find that there no longer is hot sauce on the tables. The Braised Beef was just ok, suffering from the same lack of a real taste explosion. The Salsa & Chips side was also just ok — not a big fan of the thicker chip, and don’t care for cold salsa. My friend had the Big Truck tacos($ 8.95) with FFs. He found the tacos much as I did, ok but not particularly exciting to the taste buds. The FFs as always were exceptional — I love the hint of cumin, along with the salt & pepper. The service was exceptional, friendly, efficient, & knowledgeable. This place remains very popular — when we left about 12:30, there were probably 12 to 15 people waiting for tables. My personal sense of this place remains pretty much the same as after my first visit — the food is ok, it settles for being ordinary when it could be more, the flavors more muted than exciting. The atmosphere is not particularly relaxing to me, in the comfort of the seating, and in the noise level. I’ll probably return here from time to time, but a regular stop isn’t likely. Others will likely have a different view.
