I love libraries in general and this one is no exception! The interior is very nice looking with clearly able to read signs pointing things out, easy to navigate. The seats are very comfortable and there’s plenty of them! I’ve never had to search for one. Requesting books from other areas is very simple and I do a lot, the self hold shelf is a great idea! The transit of books from other cities usually takes about 3 days with a hold time of a week, very reasonable. They could have a bigger selection of true crime and horror movies, but given everything else going for the library this is hardly a deal breaker. I usually do self check out so I don’t deal with staff much, but when I have to they’re always friendly.

For a newer building, this library seems tiny to me. Perhaps I somehow haven’t seen all of it yet? Admittedly, I don’t spend much time in here. With CountyCat up and running, I can reserve books from home and be in and out of the library in just a few minutes. The self checkouts are a nice feature, if only the computers weren’t so persnickety! The lobby is huge, which I like, a lot. No having to move out of the way when reading the bulletin boards, and the windows let in a lot of light! 23÷2015÷117

Oh, Greenfield library, I’m so grateful that you exist. Sure, you’re a tad bit out of my way(Forest Home and Center are closer to me), but the wide floor plan and quiet spaces are ideal for studying and writing. The non-fiction section here might be a tad bit lacking, especially the history area, but the expansive fiction section upstairs and wide selection of DVDs more than make up for that. In addition, there’s a separate children’s library connected to the building, and it seems like they host numerous events(NaNoWriMo, for instance!). I haven’t had much interaction with the staff, but they all seem fairly pleasant. Also, the hours here are awesome! They’re open until 8:30 Mon-Thursday, until 6 on Friday, AND they’re open on the weekends.

While I don’t have a ton of seat time here there is a reason, it is kinda cramped and it is full, the floor plan is pretty crammed and its in part to the expanding book inventory. It does have web, but not a ton avail. They are trying to pass a renovation of the library but I believe its being shot down due to budget issues in the economy. Also because of this check the website or inside for furlough hours, there is at least 1 or 2 days a month now it closes odd hours. I got library card for web, but I try to avoid the place if I have service up and good. Its not BAD, its just a old crammed library :/
