I really enjoy eating here. Not only is the food yummy but the ladies are super nice. They make you feel really good with their contagious smiles consistently with every visit. I do not usually order dessert at other places but here it is a must. Everything I have tried is delish.

Mountain View Café & Bakery was as delicious as previous reviews stated! The staff was very friendly, attentive and the place was very clean. Lunch was the BLT w/avocado and it was yummy– no greasy spoon here– the food was made with care and detail. Next time I’m driving down I-19 I’m going to be sure and stop again. Oh, and the desserts– if you’re too stuffed, take something to go– you won’t be disappointed

The food here is fantastic. The Beef Barbacue just melts in your mouth and the sides! Try the potato salad, this chef is really great!

Still serving great tasting food. I had the SW Chicken Sandwich, very tasty with a touch of spiciness. Filling too, I wanted dessert but passed it up this time. I’ll be back.

We had the special: beer battered Alaskan cod sandwich and the chicken sandwich. Both were yummy. Afterward we had a slice of coconut cake. It was good but a little disappointing because our taste buds were expecting more coconut flavor. The coffee is good. The service is excellent even though they’re busy for lunch.

This place is close, quick, and delicious! I can’t believe I didn’t know it was here. My favorite is the BLT with yummy potato salad! Give this great local place a try for a weekday lunch.

I have taken several friends here and all love it. The mushroom soup is the best ever. All sandwiches I’ve tried are great. Service is great and it’s great to patronize a locally owned and run establishment. We will be back!

I love, love, love this place! I visit here at least once a week and usually on Tuesday when their special is a big hearty bowl of lip smackin’ beef stew, a nice big biscuit and a leafy greens salad with tomatoes and prickly pear balsamic vinaigrette for around $ 8.50(you can have ranch dressing too but the prickly pear is nectar from heaven). I top that off with one of their divine bakery specialties with hot coffee. I usually choose their tarty-sweet, lemon cake. They call it something else but to me it is the tarty sweet lemon cake. This cake makes me wanna just lay down and die in delightful delirium. I also love anything they make with their ganache… I had that today and the chocolate flavor just swirled around on my tastebuds which were actually having a party in my mouth from all the yumminess.
So, my only wish is that you could get a free cup of coffee with your dessert especially after buying a tea for lunch. I know it’s a little nutty of me but it would be nice. However, everything is so great, if it means they stay open, I’ll pay for the coffee. I don’t care about gourmet coffee, I drink folgers at home and to be honest, goodies just need a good cup of old fashioned joe and it’s enough to make the experience here perfect. The environment is simple and clean. The bathrooms are clean as well. I always check bathrooms cause I’m a little crazy but I believe a clean bathroom means a clean kitchen. They are getting new carpet in a couple weeks and to be honest, I am always so busy looking at cake that I never noticed the carpet… so ok. I’m just sad they will be closed for a week. The lunch rush seems to be 11:30 — 1:00 and sometimes there is a wait, but it is well worth it. They also serve breakfast and it is also very good. It is not a typical breakfast place as they seem to have some specialties not just a rehash of Denny’s(I hate Denny’s). So, I encourage everyone to come for breakfast as well. If you’ve read all this, you deserve a brownie but you wouldn’t want one of mine… visit Mt View Bakery and she will graciously let you purchase one of her brownies. tell her I sent you so I can get brownie points… ok I won’t get brownie points but I’ll pretend I won an award and reward myself with more bakery deliciousness from here.

First visit, food was delicious. Staff friendly. Large choice of baked goods which I will try next. So happy we stumbled upon this little hole in the wall.

So I very rarely would ever give a 5star rating as I think everyone can improve in something, but this place is close to perfect. There food is absolutely delicious. I love chicken sandwich, the prime rib sandwich and their salads. It is just the perfect taste and texture mixtures that are so pleasing. They also have an amazing bakery display that never disappoints. The only drawback, is they are not open on weekends. I would most likely have lunch here every weekend if it were open

This is such a wonderful jewel! The people here are so amazing and kind! Food was fresh and delicious. The chicken salad was so creamy and the bread was the best I have had! I can’t wait to come back for breakfast!

I just wanna say… these women are very nice, as stated before. They’re prompt, they’re kind. They know what to tell you to eat. Limited but VERY good options. I just wish they could do espresso. Dessert… pastries…more than just black coffee? But that’s just me wishing for a cool Café/Coffee bar closer to home. What this is, is a darn good place to eat for breakfast or brunch. Great alternative to run of the mill Jerry Bob’s and Denny’s. I love it when people live where they work!

Mountain View Bakery and Restaurant is an very special find. This eating emporium is located just south of Duval Road and South on LaCanada(behind it Circle K.) This smallish restaurant serves from 8AM to 3PM. The meals are some of the finest available in Arizona, the proprietors are on site, and all the bakery goods are baked on site! Make this a stop when you are next in Green Valley.AZ. This cowboy will not«Steer» you wrong!

Delicious burger. I had the cheeseburger with cheddar and bacon. It was exceptionally good. The beef patty was flavorful and perfectly cooked. A really good hamburger. I had apple pie for desert and it was delicious. I am looking forward to trying more of their menu items. The bakery counter is really tempting. The day I was there it was full of great looking pastries, cakes and pies.

No complaints here, food is delicious and fast served the staff is beyond friendly. We came in with my two small boys 4months and 2 years old, they behaved well(for once) but a lot of g. v restaurants are always less than pleasant when you bring in kids, not the gals at Mountain View café and Bakery they were beyond friendly and kind! Im so excited to have a lovely place to eat close by! Bringing my husband and definitely found our new lunch spot! This was a real treat for lunch

I have yet to eat at the restaurant itself, but I came in to talk about ordering cupcakes for my mothers 70th birthday. They were jam packed. The owner still took the time to come out and talk to me. I couldn’t make up my mind so she gave me a card and asked me to call when I did. She gave me some great ideas and a price. Went home and decided on the flavors. Called the owner, she offered to come in on Saturday(the day they were closed) to make them for the party so they would be fresh, as the party was that day. Met me there that morning to pick them up and realized she had told me the wrong price, so it was $ 20 less than the original price(SCORE!). Then… she let some ladies in to look around who drove by hoping they were open. They weren’t, of course, but she took the time to show them around anyway. We ordered Choc/choc, White/vanilla, Strawberry/cream cheese, Pecan pie, Choc/cappucino, Lemon/raspberry, and Red velvet. DELICIOUS!!! The cupcakes were a hit! Thank you Nancy for all of your help. Can’t wait to try the restaurant now. It smelled soooo good when I went in the first time.

UPDATEMAY2015, well judging by all the great reviews we’ll have to give it another try, there’s not a lot to choose from around here in the way of restaurants, The review below was written probably 4 to 6 months ago. — — — — — — — — — — –/ I agree with the other reviewer. Quite unremarkable. The croissant was good but the egg salad on mine and the chicken salad on my wife’s was not bad, but just ok. Tomato slices tough and not fully ripe… Well I guess they’re red enough, just tough. Considering there’s a long wait to get in here, foods nothing to write home about. Or on Unilocal about. My wife says. «Everything looks fresh but tastes bland».
