Eagle’s Nest Tavern

This place is so much fun in the summer. We love the live music, open mic and the food is great. A nice relaxing place!

Just got back from an epic weekend of riding and The Eagles Nest was a big part.
Four friends, four motorcycles… weekend trip up to Green Valley Lake /​Big Bear area.
Set up base camp at the Welcome Inn in Green Valley, rode our assets off and ended at the Nest.
Nice selection of craft beers — Ballast Point, Hangar 24, Green Flash, Firestone, etc
Fun, laid back atmosphere — live music /​jamming on small stage. Indoor /​outdoor chill area. Friendly bar tender — thanks Crystal!
Over all, a very fun time at the Eagles Nest. Will definitely ride back up.

Stopped in twice this past weekend while in town. Had a yummy chocolate porter. And a pickled egg (it’s a definite must). Caught the end of some great live music on Saturday night (Delta Duo). Crystal was there for us, as usual. Thanks, Crystal!

I’m going to preface this review by stating that I should have listened to the warnings from other reviews. This place was bad!
I got the burger that only came with onions and gross soggy fries. The burger left a horrid taste in my mouth for half of the day. Not sure what the issue was but it tasted like the burger might have been cooked in a dirty pan or something.
My friend got the jalapeño egg rolls on the suggestion of Krystal. They were okay. Not great, but at least edible.
The waitress/​chef/​bartender Krystal was nice but obviously over worked and short staffed. Took forever to get anything. She probably shouldn’t be cooking anything as it was mostly pretty bad.
If you plan to go here I would keep in mind that the ultra positive reviews must be from friends for the bar. I highly suggest driving into Big Bear for some great food.

I absolutely LOVE this spot, mostly because the bartender makes it amazing! Krystle is the most beautiful server in the valley; her smile and soul is so amazing… if she can’t make you happy, you might just be a crank. Come here for some local fun and good conversation… don’t be shy!

Really enjoyed our afternoon lunch with music and loved, loved, loved Orson Bean, but upon our return for dinner, maybe not such. My O.M. was repeatedly ignored at bar, when there was only one other guy. He left without his beer or food order and was not a happy camper. We went elsewhere. Not asking for anything special, just fair service. Love your locals, they’ll get you thru the hard winters.

So there are a few bad reviews here. Hey Dumb A$$, it’s a tavern. The food is good, good live music, nice people. If you want to be waited on hand and foot take your Dumb Pretentious A$$ back to whatever self serving suburb you came from. Good people… good food… it’s all you need…

Nasty don’t bother soggy fries no lettuce, cheese or tomato for hamburger say sesame seed bun umm not what we got regular olé bun cost $ 21.49 for two raunchy burgers better of buying from down the hill and bring it up if you remember or not get a candy bar next store and hold you over.

This the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The service was horrible. They took a very long time to take our order. When our food finally came– it came out at all different times! One girl ordered a hamburger and it had hair in it! The waitress did not apologize for any of it! When we asked to split the check and she said it was too difficult! I’m sharing this experience to warn you NEVER to come here!!! I think only locals have reviewed this!!! It was the WROST $ 20 I have ever spent!

The Eagle’s Nest is great! We love the hospitality, cozy atmosphere, and solid beer selection! Right now they have Ballast Point Sculpin, and a great red beer from Green Flash. Plenty of others too! We also had a delicious meat and cheese plate. Crystal makes the place! We always stop in!

This place is such a gem!!! love the amazing chill atmosphere and the beautiful bartender/​server Crystal. What a doll not only did she make me a few different drinks I loved, she made the most amazing chocolate croissant ever!!! Crystal you rock !!! And I will be back for sure!!!

This is just what Green Valley Lake needed. In-​door, out-​door and bar seating. A few food items and craft beers on draft. Great ambiance and wonderful staff. I am very glad this is part of the GVL community.

Sweet little gem, only been opened less than a year. Krystle cooks up creative things — we were there on a cold snowy day, and she had this amazing smelling potato soup brewing on the stove. She also pours good drinks, got a nice variety. Bottom line is Green Valley Lake is a little treasure not too many folks know about, and if you’ve found GVL, you should stop in at the Eagles Nest for sure! Oh yeah, she’s dog friendly too :)

I’m soooo happy Green Valley Lake has somehow landed an establishment like the Eagle’s Nest Tavern! Intimate surroundings, tasty food (try the pulled pork!)’ fresh beer and wonderful, personal service (yeah, I’m taking about you Crystal!). Been here five times and always a pleasant experience.
Come grab a pint, meet the locals and get a delicious bite to eat at this uniquely GVL tavern, you won’t regret it!

Great tavern! Ate my first picked egg and it was Fantastic! We sat out on the patio with our dog and had a few drinks. The patrons are fun and the staff is very friendly. Especially Crystal :-) Good beer and wine selection and some cocktails too. Tasty homemade food. I will be here every time I’m in GVL.

Great selection of craft beers on tap. Had a very nicely done meat pie for dinner last night. Great place for our locals and visitors to relax and enjoy some good food and craft beers. Wood stove on the deck helped to take the chill off of the evening.
