I was visiting Green Bay on my way to Door Cty, and a friend recommended this restaurant. I was rather impressed. We arrived shortly after they opened for lunch, had a Bloody Mary(or two), and we each ordered several items off the menu. The food is(mostly) locally sourced and made to order, and the prices were rather reasonable. Not to mention, we had great service. It’s nice to see restaurants like this being successful after years of lackluster results in NE Wisconsin. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Green Bay. Hope they keep up the good work!

We went with a large group(12) and while the food was good the service was rather slow. In their defense I understand it takes longer for a larger group. What troubled me most is I gave a 10% tip to the waiter in cash and asked that the tip not be added to my credit card or that of the rest of the folks in our party. I see that they took another 10% out of my credit card. I will hesitate to go back to the Cannery

Food is mediocre at best and they now table service(hooray, yea). The service is very slow and stupid. I wonder who the clientele is considering this is a blue collar town. This place has big city prices and a very amateurish staff who do not know what they’re doing. I’m all for elevated delicious food but this place is not that though they try to be. Kitchen is inconsistent– some dishes are good some are overdone all in all a mess. Pretty much sucks– better off across the ways to hinterland.

We went her for Sunday brunch. It was awesome! Great food neat new drinks. Call ahead if you have a big group because you might have to wait. If it’s 2 – 3 people they can get you seated pretty quick.

My wife & I stopped here for the first time today. I’d heard it was now open but usually we’re not near here when it’s time to eat. But it was about 11:30AM so it was time for a lunch. We sat right down and reviewed the menu. The waitress brought us water and talked about the specials. She gave us a few minutes and then took our orders. The restaurant is industrial. The bar face is made from corrugated tin & iron beams for your foot rest. The ceiling decoration is barn beams with a cloth draped(to cut down noise?). Lights by the kitchen are fan shields converted into light fixtures. Plus they have a deli & boutique market with good looking and hard to find foods. My wife had a special of squash soup & a grilled cheese(you choose 2 of snow cheddar, Colby, 3-pepper, or onion & chive cheeses). I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries. It came with pecan-smoked bacon & stoneground/Dijon mustard. I usually add a few more condiments but just the mustard was excellent. The mustard combo didn’t taste mustardy but had a great flavor. The food was excellent and the wait staff was great to excellent. They tended to our needs and took care of beverage fills automatically. My only mark down from a 5 star to 4 star rating was for the noise from conversations and wait time for food. I didn’t time it but a burger & grilled cheese shouldn’t have taken as long as it did, especially when it wasn’t packed. We will be back but not if we’re in a hurry.

I was at The Cannery for drinks and dinner when it first opened and swore I would never return due to poor service and underwhelming food. However, I went to brunch here today and noticed major improvements. I have a sweet tooth and ordered the Berry Blitz. It tasted great. I had a taste of the sliders and they reminded me of a brat burger(which I love). Although I loved the garnish on my Bloody Mary, I would ask for more spice the next time I visit.

Four stars for the food, two stars for service. I’m thinking we went a bit too early when things weren’t quite put together– not all of the kinks were worked out. Pretty sure our waitress forgot about us, it took more than 30 minutes to get drinks/place our order and another 30 for her to bring our food. She was nice enough, but no mention of the timing or apologies. Well go back, but in a few months. On another note, the market has interesting products, though it is pricy.

My review is based only on their deli foods. I plan to return to try the restaurant. The deli food is mediocre. I had a hummus veggie wrap and beer cheese soup. The wrap was fine, nothing special. The beer cheese soup was not very good. Definitely go to Legends if you want good beer cheese soup and skip the Cannery.

Went for dinner with my wife. Industrial atmosphere in an old canning building, which is appropriate. Service was good but there was a delay in being seated. It’s a bit on the noisy side, with a lot of echoing due to the layout. Kitchen is visible, if that’s your thing. I ordered french onion soup for an appetizer, but it didn’t arrive until my entrée. It was completely over cooked and not edible. Returned it to the kitchen with no redo. My Italian stuffed chicken breast with risotto and asparagus was pretty good. My wife’s prime rib sandwich was also good but for some reason, they don’t offer sweet potato fries. The prices are on the high side($ 14 for a cheeseburger and $ 6 for a tap beer). I can’t say that this is a destination at this point because there’s nothing unique or special going on here.

Best lunch I have ever had in Green Bay. Service was great and food was fantastic! The Stuffed Italian Chicken w Onion Soup! Also picked up some crazy looking yogurt in the market. Fun place!

Super-cool ambience. Funky vibe with exposed ceilings and eclectic lighting. The dining room has a wall of windows letting in light. We visited April 8th and despite the date were«treated» to a winter wonderland view. Watching white fluffy snowflakes fall outside was somewhat surreal. Our party of four isn’t easy to please and was all over the menu sampling: the beet salad, steak sandwich, pot pie and smoky chicken pasta. Everyone was pleased with their choices with many compliments exchanged. I was especially impressed with the smoky chicken pasta. I would definitely order this dish again. The sauce was beautifully seasoned. The pasta was al dente and had plenty of chicken and asparagus. Final Assessment: Interesting environment and tasty food. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

OMG. Love this. What a great new breakfast find. Awesome industrial loft/warehouse décor. Great menu, bloody Mary’s(mine was strong) and super hip vibe. Love the bar and the public market feel. Perfect Sunday Funday hangout.

I love the atmosphere of this place. It is creative and different. The red hot chili pepper martini I enjoyed was excellent, and the appetizers were good, too. The cheese plate was particularly good, as was the chicken salad. I was here with a fairly large group, and they handled us efficiently and with good humor. I look forward to checking it out on my own or with just a few folks.

Adorable! Five freaking stars and then some; I will return every. single. time I find myself in Green Bay, for sure. No doubt. The Cannery is a super small public market type space(butcher, cheese shop, wine/beer store, etc.) meets an awesome bar/restaurant. Cozy, industrial chic, comfortable… the food is way good, the vibes are right up my alley and the people are nice. My dining companion and I bellied up to the bar — the lamb sliders for him, the maple chicken salad for me. ANDTHATSALAD… heart eyes emoji on the real. So good. I also ordered a glass of the Old Vine Zin and that, too, was on point. I will return every. single. time I find myself in Green Bay, for sure. No doubt.

This is a great addition to the downtown area as it’s part of the old cannery and is in the same building as the new Titletown Brewery tap room. It’s a great place to have a lunch, a nice dinner or even to just get a drink. The last time I was there I decide to try something a little different and ordered the lamb sliders. WOW! They were so juicy and I loved feta cheese and the sauce. I wished I remember what the sauce was. There’s a great selection of wines and craft beers. The other side from the bar and restaurant is a little grocery store where you can find a lot of little simple food items but they are a little more expensive. I would say this is one of the«cool» new places of Green Bay.

Finally something different in Green Bay. I love the atmosphere here, bringing a clean and cozy setting with an open concept. Going up to order the food, you see the entire kitchen and staff. To me, this represents their farm to table mentality and how they have nothing to hide. I ordered the prime sandwich that came with fries. Loved it! Pricing was reasonable for a respectable sandwich. The fries are the perfect balance of salty and crunchy. This went great with my muddled bulleit old fashioned. My fiancé ordered the quinoa peppers. I was a little reluctant on these, but boy are they good-and filling! I wish i could make these myself. All in all, I will(and have been) be back in the future. This is a great spot to split a sandwich for lunch, take someone out on a date, or just pick up some fantastic groceries/gifts.

Food is good, price is wrong. We order fish«Mero Sea Bass» $ 30, it was below our expectations. But the environment is great, can drink here.

UPDATE: 11/24/2015: My coworkers and I would eat at The Cannery quite frequently(2 – 3 days a week). We would usually grab a hot sandwich and a salad or bowl of soup and enjoy it there. On 11/24/2015, we were informed that we were no longer welcome to eat INSIDE of the Cannery unless we ordered from the kitchen. We were told we needed to sit outside in the«hallway/entryway» and eat our food there. This is appalling and the LAST time they will receive a dime from us. I mean, really? 9÷8÷15 I enjoy eating at the Cannery, since it is so close to where I work! The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. Their cold deli sandwiches are delicious and they will even warm it up and serve it to you hot if you ask. I’ve had their soups a couple of times and nothing warms up a chilly body better than a yummy, hot cup of soup loaded with chicken! Their deli salads are delicious and seem to change weekly, so it’s not just the same salad week after week. My co workers and I were just commenting on how we wish they would do a ½ sandwich and soup combo and last week when we stopped in, we noticed that it’s now a choice! Yippee! Prices could come down a little, but it’s downtown, so you you should already know that you’re going to be paying a little more. I have not tried anything off the restaurant menu or bar. They have a nice selection of wines, beers, sausages, cheeses, etc that are hard to find. I managed to find some cinnamon and sugar butter that I can only get when I’m down south and it’s delicious! With a few more improvements, I think they’ll be well loved in Green Bay.

I stumbled across this place with my husband on a Saturday night. I only ate at the restaurant and got a beverage from the bar. Cannot comment on the market. I had the lamb sliders that tasted just like a gyro. They were perfectly cooked which is hard to do with a tiny lamb slider. I also had a side of the homemade fries that were seasoned well and were tasty. Reminded me of my mom’s homemade ones as a child. My Husband had the bacon cheeseburger and he commented it was one of the best he ever had. It came with these tasty«chips» that were more like a fry. We also both had a grapefruit Moscow mule that was light and refreshing with our meal. We will be back as we really enjoyed the experience and the high quality food.

**Please note this review is for just the restaurant, not the bar or market area.** Right off the bat, the place is very confusing. You go up to the cashier first and order from some menus(hanging from a clipboard.) The food and prices are portrayed as high-scale dining, Blackened Salmon, Lamb Sliders, Quinoa Stuffed Peppers… some prices nearing $ 30 a dish, but you order like you would in a deli and then someone who is like kind of your waiter but kind of not brings it to you. I had the tomato and asparagus frittata for $ 12. It does not come with a side, all sides are an additional $ 5. So I opted to go without and glad I did because my frittata was disgusting. It came with like 1⁄16 of a tomato and 4 tiny pieces of asparagus stem(see picture.) Which is a shame, because those were the only good parts of this dish. Holy god was it salty. Like take this review and times it by like 100, then you have the salt content of my frittata. I didn’t even finish it. The kind of waitor kind of not never refilled my water so I physically couldn’t even if I wanted to. My husband had the Cannery Prime and it was the same. The beef was anything but fresh and it was salt overload. His was $ 18. We left hungry and dehydrated! And we paid $ 30 to do it! Boy did we get swindled. The bar and market looked okay but we definitely won’t be back to the restaurant.
