Dick’s Sporting Goods

This review is more about Dick’s as a whole than this particular store. It’s a pretty convenient location. Parking is a bit tricky depending on the time of week. Overall, Dick’s has everything covered depending on your sport/​need, but it’s not Scheels. My issue is that the store is divided by brand, so it’s really a shop in shop environment. I’m not too particular to one brand so when I’m looking for a specific thing, it’s a bit tedious to go from each section to another looking for comparable items.
I do like the variety, especially the Marmot section. Apparel wise, I find the prices to be high. Even if you compare them to Macy’s (which has really seemed to step up its athletic apparel section). Macy’s will have the exact same thing for 20% off, Dick’s has it full price. I think prices are much more competitive in terms of rackets/​clubs and camping equipment.
Service is spotty. Typically if you can find anyone to ask a question they respond by pointing you in a direction. It gets better if you’re in a specific department, like shoes. But overall, I still feel like there are better places to go, although not necessarily under the same roof or in the area.

Good store. I bought my golf clubs here earlier this year and they were really helpful in helping me pick the perfect set. Now if they could only fix my slice…
