Definitely won’t be going back. Ordered both Chinese and Japanese food and both were subpar. Service was average. Mostly pre-packaged food you can buy from costco or other supermarket warmed up and put on a plate. The sushi had uncooked grains of rice in it and I simply couldn’t get myself to even finish the food. Overpriced for what they serve you for sure.

Good neighborhood fusion spot. Interestingly enough they have very authentic xinjian food. I found out that the owners wife is from xinjian and it’s super rare to find a restaurant that serves that type of cuisine. Additionally the place has your typical Japanese/Asian fare but all slightly elevated. Stop in and get the lamb and big plate chicken I guarantee you won’t go wrong.

Beautiful pan-Asian restaurant(Japanese, Chinese, Thai) with extensive menu. Lots to choose from. Pan-fried chicken dumplings(gyoza) were thin-skinned and delicious. Special sushi rolls are artfully presented, fresh and tasty. Prices are very reasonable and lots of parking in back of restaurant. Will definitely return!

This is a newer place in the area, we were with friends and decided to give it a try. It is a mix between Chinese and Sushi. It has a small sushi bar and a bunch of tables, booths and a bar. We all ordered sushi with the exception that I added wonton soup to my order. The soup was disappointing, not your typical wonton soup, the wontons were wrapped in a rice paper instead of traditional wonton and the broth was too plain for my liking. As far as the sushi went, it was good but nothing amazing and it was very expensive but I imagine its because of the location. They were out of tuna and that makes up most of the rolls, we substituted shrimp in one roll and you hardly knew it was there. The service was good, the waiter was constantly filling our tea cups and by the way the green tea was delicious, not at all bitter.

I honestly really love this restaurant. Service is pretty great, great mood, hilarious paintings all around the restaurant. I ordered a pad Thai, pretty amazing. The Chinese food is also very traditional. Love this restaurant!

The place is pretty big and it is never too crowded. I have been here twice. Pros: good sushi, friendly service, plenty of space, clean, décor is nice. Cons: although waiters and waitresses are friendly, not the best service, prices are a little higher than I like I am knocking off a star because miso soup/salad does not come with the Sushi and Sashimi boat! It should at least come with two because it serves two people easily.

The food wasn’t very good at all. Wasn’t fresh. Only 4 small shrimp came w/the entrée. They forgot part of my order.

I came here to meet up with a long time friend. There was parking right in front which was awesome since it was a very cold night. I was impressed by how fancy their menus were. We shared the rock shrimp and then I got the chicken teriyaki bento box as my entrée since I wasn’t in the mood for sushi. The rock shrimp was delicious and a good size. My entrée was plenty and everything was delicious, it was too much for me and I ended up taking half of my chicken home. As we were catching up one employee came by giving all the customers hats and wishing all of us a happy new year which I thought it was a nice touch.

Came here a while back and haven’t written a review since. This place opened pretty recently and has been doing pretty well. I think that they could have done more business in an area with a lesser concentration of Japanese restaurants. However, it’s upscale ambiance and neighborhood feel were what drew me in. We came with a party of four and were greeted nicely. The place was not busy for a weekday night, which I thought was a bit strange. The décor is beautiful: an elegant, modern sushi bar faces the clean dining room. There is a large television, which doesn’t add much to the dining area. Japanese art fills the walls; however, some images are not appropriate for dining and/or a young audience, which was cimpletely unexpected. We took a look at the beautiful menus and saw a large selection of Asian options, such as fresh sushi/sashimi, Japanese entrees, fusion appetizers, and entrees from across the continent(for example, some of the dishes had Thai and Malaysian influences). Prices are surprisingly inexpensive: most entrees are about $ 15 and the sushi is priced less than competitors. Their sushi is fresh and all of the rolls ordered were well prepared. We glanced around at other tables and their plates contained beautifully arranged fish. Their soups are yummy and well seasoned. I went for the Sambal chicken which was really delicious. The chicken was cooked well, served with a variety of vegetables such as asparagus, zucchini, broccoli, etc. The Sambal sauce was really powerful, although it did not overpower any of the elements. The service was good, although they did not bring over everything within a short time range(dishes came when they were ready, which was 15 minutes after another dish came) and they do not speak English particularly well. However, they were reapply knowledgeable about the menu and the food itself.

At first glance, the restaurant is nice and the menu seems OK. We ordered a chirashi that took absolutely forever to come out. They made up for it by serving us this small portion of fried fish that was covered in eel sauce and spicy mayo. The Chirashi is finally prepared and comes out at a price of 19.50, you get 13 pieces of Sashimi over rice. The overall quality of fish i would have to say is not too good. You definitely get exactly what you pay for when you come to eat here.(I also tried the Toro sashimi and it wasn’t fresh at all which is why they are able to sell it for $ 6 a piece) I’m sure this place will attract a lot of people for their cheap prices and bar but i would not come back here as it wasn’t up to my standards when it comes to eating sushi. I wish them the best of luck but this was my honest review.

Yet another sushi spot to open in Great Neck(as if we didn’t already have enough), and I’m pleasantly surprised. My go-to restaurant was going under renovations so I figured I’d try Village. Their menu arrives in my mailbox regularly so why not? Since they didn’t have my usual appetizer, salmon tartare, I asked if they could make it. They did and it was amazing. So fresh, so flavorful, and the dressing on the salad it came nestled on was very good. My entrée was tofu in black bean sauce and it was actually equally as good as the one I get from my regular place! The service was good and my food was ready quickly. I’ll be back for sure.

They just opened a few weeks ago and I came in and sat at the sushi bar. The place looks unassuming, so I was surprised at the quality of the sushi. It is both fresh and somewhat inventive. Definitely try the seared salmon sashimi with jalapeño.

Really love this restaurant and the service. I can eat Thai, Japanese and Chinese foods at the same time. And their cocktail are very good too. I can even customize them according to my tastes. I will definitely go there every week!!!

This is a newly opened restaurant, the environment is rly clean and up to standard. The food is nicely arranged when they are being served, while the staff is always friendly and consistently seeking to accommodate your needs if you have any special demand on certain type of food or your order. Definitely will recommend it to a friend!

Stopped in for lunch today and was told they just opened up on Friday. POSITIVES: — Location — Brand new, lovely interior(simple and clean looking) — Very friendly hostess who chatted it up with us and seemed very eager to please us — Plenty of street parking out front and in the back. $ 0.25 gets you an hour in Great Neck. — Large, diverse menu — Pricing is fair, especially for this area and based on the quality of the venue itself — Adequate amount of food for the price, even on lunch specials COULDBE/GET BETTER: — Food was okay as far as flavor goes. Could use a bit more punch, maybe more sauce in general. — Service was friendly but they were not in tune with some needs such as needing refills on our drinks — The above could be attributed to the staff chatting up front with each other rather than being near where we were sitting — When meal was finished, one of the servers cleared our table and asked«you want the check, right?». While we weren’t necessarily looking to order dessert, we thought it was weird they didn’t even offer. It wasn’t like the place was busy and they were waiting to turn over the table to the next party. They didn’t do themselves any favors here. NEGATIVES: — Nothing to really complain about but, if you twisted my arm, I would say that they could have paid closer attention to us after we got our food and before we got our check. I would give some other items on the menu a shot if we do come back. The rolls that my wife ordered were decent but not spectacular and my chicken and string beans in garlic sauce, too, was fine but nothing special. As for my meal, I think if they just added a little more garlic sauce it would have made a world of difference. The plating was nice and thoughtfully done. Clean and efficient, like the venue itself. I’m giving this review three stars for now, although it’s probably closer to three and a half stars, and I’m leaving a little room here for a better experience and a higher rating next time.
