BEWARE!!! The owner CHARLENE LINDO is a scam artist! The customer service by her is repulsive. I don’t know how she has a business and the woman is pregnant! Shame on her!!! Be careful when you buy a gift card if they screw up under CHARLENE LINDO’S watch you will not be refunded or taken care of in any way!!! Would not recommend going to any European wax center that she owns (Garden City and Great Neck).

I’ve been coming here since they opened. Entire Staff is great and Friendly. Ping is the best, very thorough and gentle! Highly recommend European Wax Great Neck!

The waxing, not so good. They use hard wax, but I can say that the people who work here are definitely not hard wax experts! How can I tell? They work with small strips of wax rather than larger strips. This is a sign of how comfortable the waxer is with the wax. Also, little bits of wax were left behind and during my wax appointment one of the strips cracked upon removal, a sign that the waxer let the wax cool for too long.
I went here for a Brazilian wax, and then had to go for a touch up the next day as they didn’t finish it. I can tell that a lot of hairs have no been removed from the root and actually broke off. :ingrown hair nightmare. The appointment took WAY longer than normal and I have a burn mark from having my skin waxed over and over again. It is not a heat burn, but almost like a rug burn from when your skin is irritated.

This has to be the BEST European Wax Center I have ever been too! The young ladies at the front desk were very lovely and the wax specialists are all very professional, clean and well educated in their waxing techniques. I would recommend any of the waxers! The products that I purchased (Ingrown hair serum, slow it body wash and the exfoliate) have all been very effective with my hair and skin. Obssessed!

I had a fantastic experience with Jeanette. She was professional, informative, experienced, and very polite. I bought a 12 session pack and will continue to use her services in the future. I highly recommend her.

Waste of my time. Made an apt a week in advance, had a confirmation phone call yet my appointment was still messed up.
But upon realizing this mistake… I was offered the option of waiting an additional 2 hrs for a new appointment… Only time slot left… What!!! How does that make sense?
Thanks but no thanks… I can take my business elsewhere.

I generally get my brows shaped every every week & my lip waxed about every 2 weeks. I am a loyal follower of my eyebrow lady and would follow her to the ends of the earth as she is a wax wielding eyebrow genius who has never led me astray. Unfortunately, my eyebrow guru has abandoned me in favor of her annual 2 month European vacation. It is always challanging finding a replacement eyebrow groomer while she’s away (I occasionally will try a cheap nail place, but am generally reluctant to do so because they are often lax on cleanliness and don’t always know how to handle my Ashkenazi eyebrows.). I was pleased to read favorable Unilocal reviews of European Wax Center in Greenvale and even more pleased that one had opened in Great Neck conveniently located on my way home from work. Let me just say that the place is impeccably clean, brand spanking new, and gloriously air conditioned. These are all attributes I value. I was not used to this type of wax which was oddly viscous and seemingly difficult to maneuver. The waxer (I don’t recall her name) had to go over my eyebrows several times with this weirdly thick gloppy and unwieldy substance because she said my hair was «strong.» I get my brows waxed every week, and the person who waxes them doesn’t frequently have to go over the area more than once. As a result of the multiple (it seemed like 4 or 5) times the same areas were waxed, my face felt very sore upon leaving. This doesn’t ever happen to me. When I got home, I noticed that the areas along my brows and around my lip (wear I also had waxed) were slightly swollen and splotchy. In summation, the place is clean and comfortable, but super pricey (I got a free brow wax as a first time customer promotion but prior to tipping, a lip and brow wax comes to $ 30 which seems a little insane and is substantially pricier than my usual place), and I’m going to have to pop a few Advil prior to sleeping tonight.
UPDATE: it’s the morning after and no fewer than 3 people at worked have asked me about my questionable «eye shadow» choice this morning. In reality, I’m wearing no eye makeup but my brow area is swollen, bruised, and the top layer of skin has been removed. I would avoid this place at all cost. I get my brows done every week and have never had this level of discomfort or scarring. I’d sooner go to a cheap nail place.
