Your average MetroPCS reseller. Average stock, average price, average availability. Just… average. However, the reason that they get 1 star is because they lied to me. While in the middle of a bout of unemployment my phone died. It wasn’t something that would be covered by insurance, so I had to purchase a new phone. At the time they were advertising a special for a Samsung Freeform 2 for $ 50, it had the features I wanted, and when I called they said they had it available. My wife and I walk out the door, drive the less than one bloody mile to the store, to be told they’re out of stock because they’d «just sold the last one». *sigh* Ok. They readily tried to sell me one of the other, much more expensive phones, that had a similar feature set. But being unemployed I didn’t really have it in the budget for the phone. So we pull out to go to another MetroPCS store. On a lark, after we pull out of the parking lot my wife calls and asks if they have the phone we wanted in stock. She was told they did, that they had several in fact, but that they were selling quickly. Now the wife had stayed in the car the first time, she’d been on the phone with a friend the first time we came up. So I pulled into a spot further down from the store’s entrance, out of view, and let her walk in. Sure enough they were out of stock, having«just sold the last one», and they tried to sell her one of the other models that were more expensive. She turns them down, we go on our way, when a friend of ours calls and asks if we want to go out to our favorite hang-out to eat. They’re just down the street from us at the time, driving down the same road the store is on, so I ask them to meet us in the parking lot. Explaining what happens I have him call and, sure enough, he’s told that they have several in stock but that they’re selling fast. We chat for a minute, he walks in, and is told… you guessed it… that they just sold the last one. We shelve the phone idea for the evening and go out to eat. The next afternoon a neighbor of ours, who also uses MetroPCS, saw us in the parking lot of our apartment complex after we returned from picking up the phone I wanted at another location. He’s interested in it, needs to replace his own phone, and decides to call around to see who has it. Want to guess what happened when he called Telecell? The worst thing a business can do to me is to lie to me. If a business knowingly lies to me, much less to several people I know over the next few days, I can guarantee you they will NEVER see a dime of my money.
