Decided to do a little antique shopping today and was a little hungry when I walked in and knew I needed something before I started browsing. I walked in and headed to Mason & Dixie for the first time to grab a bite. I looked over the menu as the owner(I’m assuming) and the cashier chit chatted(I didn’t mind). They greeted me and made sure I was taken care of by cutting their conversation when it was needed. I ordered the grown up grilled cheese and tea. I went to pay in the front, which is like 10 steps away as they prepared my food. It was nice because there were only 3 other people eating so it wasn’t crowded or busy. Food came out nice and warm and ready to eat, the tomato soup was delicious and also the sandwich. The owner(assuming again) brought my plate and then saw I had not grabbed any silverware or napkins so she kindly brought me some. My first experience here was very nice and will surely make sure I come shopping hungry just to stop by.

Really good adult grilled ham and cheese sandwich, tomato basil soup and chips. Tea is wonderful. Kinda Pricey — $ 19 for this.

Cool little place in the antique shop. Great chips and homemade salsa were free. Awesome grilled cheese with creamy tomato soup. Loved the ambiance, the service, and the food. Drinks served in glass jars. I would rate them higher if they had a more robust menu, and if they didn’t run out of dessert by the time we got there.

Great little place! Just six tables. Closed Sunday’s and Mondays. My husband and I loved the sandwiches. The soup was great and very fresh iced tea. Will for sure go back and bring the gals!

I’ve never had anything that I didn’t love here. Everything is made fresh and with the exception of soups and desserts, made to order each time. Chef/owner Beth Newman brings a sophisticated twist to southern deliciousness in a warm, comfy environment that is like you’re eating at a friend’s place. I highly recommend checking out this amazing find in the Grapevine Antique Mall! She also caters so if you can’t make it to her, consider having her come to you for your next event. She also does onsite showers and parties with advanced notice. Check out their Facebook page for daily specials.

Amazing!!! We love the antique mall and always pass by Mason & Dixie and finally decided to stop in and eat. You would never expect this tiny diner to produce the delicious food they make! Hats off the chef. We will definitely be back!

This is one of the best of the hidden gems that Grapevine/Southlake has to offer! Do yourself a favor and have dessert after lunch

The bread pudding is a must! I don’t like bread pudding but this was a slice of heaven. Very cute place. The lunch was delicious too.

What a quaint little café! It’s a real gem of a place with delicious food and great, friendly service. complimentary chips and homemade salsa(so good) We ordered the mushroom Farro soup, tomato soup, fig panini, and bbq sandwich & all were so tasty! Definitely going back! The only con to the place is the signage; it was pretty difficult for us to find the restaurant so we had to call to get directions.

100% Craftswomanship with food. Truly amazing taste. Mason-Dixie is a rare discovery. Beth should be picked for a Top Chef’s episode. Her deserts rival what you would expect at the finest, Soups and Sandwiches provide a unique gourmet flavor because it’s made from scratch with ingredients far above normal restaurant quality. All the little details add-up including the mayonnaise made from scratch. Nothing is prepackaged. Once you start eating it’s obvious there will not be leftovers. Sparks of magnificence are growing here. With a limited menu and only six tables Beth has conjured up something that is bigger than a normal lunch. The reviews are true: Arrive before the food sells out, Expect to be greeted by a happy hardworking person serving & waiting all the tables. This is the American dream in full swing serving their best in style. They deserve more than a regular tip for this effort. Dining room is a comfortable spot which was formerly just a tea room in the antique mall. Now it’s completely redone serving wonderful comfort food with tasty flair. Drive into the Shopping Center heading to the back left corner. From the Road steer towards Passion Lighting. 50 feet left of Passion Lighting is the humble entrance to Mason-Dixie, adjacent to the Antique mall. Catering is available. I would strongly suggest you give it a try. Food is far better than Jason’s or the other chains. Everyone I bring loves the food at Mason Dixie.

This place is a «must» for ladies who lunch. It is located in the corner of the Grapevine Antique Mall. Wonderful atmosphere and the owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious, fresh, and creative. The tomato basil soup is rich, creamy, and wonderful. All the sandwiches are delicious… and the coconut cake is a decadent. I almost hate to share this place with others as it is such a pleasant, personal place for lunch.

The term«hidden gem» gets thrown out a lot on Unilocal(guilty), but this cute little spot really is hidden-inside a Grapevine Antique mall off NW Hwy I didn’t know existed, and definitely a gem! The restaurant is open only for lunch. It does not have a full-service kitchen, but they do a great job putting out a solid lunch in a limited space. When we arrived, it was a one-woman show, with a single sweet staff member prepping the restaurant and preparing our food with a smile. The owner, who I got to meet towards the end of my meal, seemed super friendly as well. You place your order at the counter, grab your drink and silverware, and have a seat. My ginger peach tea in a mason jar made me love the place even before the food came. Between that and the complimentary tortilla strips and some tasty, chunky salsa, we were off to a great start. The chalkboard menu is smallish(which is OK when all the options sound great!), and included salads, sandwiches, and a tomato basil soup. In addition to the chalkboard menu specials, a printed menu at the tables had the more permanent selections like a sea salt caramel brownie and a bread pudding that sounded amazing. My sister got a brownie, and they heated it for her towards the end of the meal before serving it with a big dollop of whipped cream. I picked the Croque Monsieur and a cup of the soup. The Croque Monsiuer, served on a croissant and covered in mornay sauce, was different than I expected but good. The peppery tomato soup was great, and is even better with a crunchy chip dipped in it when no one is looking. My mom and sister got the grown up grilled cheese, which was a pannini made with havarti, fontina, and truffle oil, and loved it. When you are full and happy, you pay at the front of the antique mall. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch if you’re in the area!

Mason & Dixie is a nice little place that is only open for lunch. It’s like a hidden little lunch spot for people who are«in the know» for a nice home made lunch. Mason & Dixie is located in a large antique store. The restaurant is actually in a booth, that is why you pay at the front of the antique store. The atmosphere is great here, you have your drink in handled mason jars, you get fresh chips and salsa when you sit down. Your order comes out in a relativity short time and you get to use real old fashioned looking silverware. The people who work here are very nice and friendly and know how to cook. I ordered the pulled pork special which turned out to be very filling and very good. The pulled pork had a very savory quality that was hard to put down. All in all I really enjoyed my meal and I look forward to coming back.

You gotta try this place! The atmosphere is shabby chic and just too cute. But even better than the décor is the food. It is fresh and made with love. The owner is so nice and friendly. This place is an all around gem. I definitely recommend the sea salt caramel brownie — heaven on a plate. Enjoy!

There’s a crazy giddy feeling you get when you stumble on a place you never expected to find that has food you triple-never expected to find. Tucked in a corner of the antique mall next to the old Beal’s on Grapevine, is this wickedly good little lunch spot. Expecting tea, salad, and some finger sandwiches, I was dumbstruck by the parade of delicious food that followed. First up, a homemade salsa with the perfect amount of Garlic, lime, tomato and spice! Ginger Peach tea, and a grown-up grilled cheese with Muenster, Fontina & Brie(grilled with truffle oil). The pulled pork BBQ was hands down wonderful; but nothing prepared me for the buttered-bourbon bread pudding. Whoa. If you love discovering new places with the charm of owners who are literally preparing your food, take the time to find this place.

A great little find nestled in an Antique mall. The menu is relatively small but has excellent dishes. The tomato basil is superb as is the bread pudding.
