Great place for a leisurely walk with lovely views. The area I visited was well kept and had playful ducks looking for a bit of food. I look forward to going back when it’s cooler.

Lewisville, your lake is no match to the Grapevine one! Beautiful land and area surrounding this lovely lake. Love coming out here for the fireworks! Lots of opportunities for photos. Big spaces to bring a picnic blanket and just chill out!

Relaxing, stress free, and fun for the kids, perfect local place for hitting the beach for free! Side note you have to bring everything yourself, no food, drinks or shade if your late getting there late.

Great lake with lots to do. Fireworks on fridays all summer long. Bigdaddys is also a good place to get a bite to eat.

I had to update my review because I recently visited a different part of the lake. I can’t recall the name — but we had to pay $ 5.00 and there were trails alongside of the lake that were fun to walk(even with small kids), and we found a great little spot to hang out on the rocks. It was very refreshing and totally worth the small fee. There were still some broken bottles and a little trash in some areas but overall much better than the first visit. Prior review — Not a fan by any means. Lake is dirty and shallow. The walk up to the lake is gross — broken bottles of alcohol — very unsafe. Grass is super high and the water just looks nasty. Haven’t actually touched the water — decided against it upon first look. I’m used to the warm beaches of San Diego, or lakes in CA like Big Bear, Lake Tahoe, etc. so I am a bit biased. Can tell you the lake at Rockwall, TX looked a lot more appealing though.
