I go often to Alfies. Always fresh. Always tasty. The meatloaf, kale salad, and butternut squash salad are my favorites. Their soups are also excellent. Had the kale, white bean, chicken soup. So yummy. Service is always friendly.

The food and atmosphere are on point at this local, organic food joint! I have been here a few times and am never let down. I would recommend the bow tie pistachio pasta side dish hands down. I cannot recall the sandwich I’ve had but with sprouts and hummus it is delicious! You can literally taste the freshness! Every staff member that I have interacted with has been very nice and accommodating! Try it out if you’re in the neighborhood!

I saw Alfie’s online and went there about a week and a half ago. The setting was great, off the street nestled between the library and a museum. There was plenty of outdoor seating among the flower boxes and landscaping. There’s only enough room for a couple of tables inside during the cold weather months, so prepare to get it «to go» during those months. However, I couldn’t imagine a better place to enjoy a lunch inside during a snowfall. The facility was fantastic. We thought it was an old house, but the staff explained it was originally the 1st bank in the county. The food was amazing and locally sourced. We had a lot of questions and all 3 staff members that day not only answered them, but went out of their way to describe every offering, in depth. Everything tasted as if it had been pulled from the garden minutes before our arrival. I would love to work my way through the menu. I strongly recommend Alfie’s. I live in Columbus and it is worth the trip and should be part of your Granville«experience.»

Alfie’s is fantastic! I have loved every thing I’ve tried. My go-to sandwich is the Mr. Tea. It is a turkey sandwich with a cream cheese and pepper jelly spread topped with plenty of fresh sprouts. It’s delicious. Get a side of potato salad or hummus. The salads never disappoint also. Go with the Greek or Cobb. The inside is a teensy little place so get it to go or sit outside with friends on the patio if the weather is nice. I would give 6 stars if I could!

Yummy! I’ve only been to Alfies a couple times but am absolutely hooked — they have wonderful salads and sandwiches, and the desserts are a must-have as well. Their lemon bars are the best. Good for breakfast, lunch, or an in-between bite. The store is small with limited seating indoors, but now that the weather is warmer there are plenty of outdoor seats as well.

I’m sad to see some of the negative reviews about Alfie’s on Unilocal,so I will attempt to give my best review and prepare you for your(hopefully great) Alfie’s experience. For those not from Granville, please note that Alfie’s is set back from Broadway, to the left of the library. If it’s raining or snowing, please note that Alfie’s does not have ample indoor seating for your party of more than 2. Plan a to-go order instead! The menu is fresh-prepared daily and is quite delicious. I’ve never had anything I did not like there. That said, if progressive, American healthy food is not your fare, don’t come here. We’re talking amazing kale salad, roasted beets, quinoa, curried chicken salads, etc. Their desserts are flawless, buttery, perfectly baked delicacies. My all-time-favorite anything there is the VW(turkey, brie, fig jam) or the PB&J. They are happy to cater with enough notice!

The sandwich I had was good. It’s mostly sandwiches made with cold cuts like turkey. They have some interesting sides abd jams! All of the ingredients were fresh and staff was nice. For my sandwich, which came on wheat(that’s all they have, maybe white bread), a bag of chips, and a drink, it cost me $ 12 and i was still hungry after. This is more of a place to go for a light snack. The building is very small, so I’d make other arrangements for eating your food vs. Sitting inside. I liked it but would only go back if I were really in the mood for a turkey sandwich. I guess I feel like I could very easily make this food at home and stretch that money out for multiple sandwiches!

Alfie’s is great! I always get fresh squeezed orange juice when I’m in. Even though I’m(unfortunately) not super into«healthy» food, I still enjoy the food here. Great vegetarian options – sandwiches, salads, ect. I only wish it were bigger, I’ve been in when it was cold/rainy and unfortunately it is only big enough for a couple people inside.

Everything, I mean EVERYTHING, is Absolutely delicious. Turkey Meatloaf(T.M.H.T) and the Sam I Am are my favorite sandwiches. Kale salad, chickpea salad, and Beet Salad are to die for. Always some seasonal special dish(jalapeño cole slaw to name a fall favorite) is always exciting. Blondie brownies will make you want to hide in the closet and eat it all by yourself. A must try if in the Granville area!

Had some trouble finding the place as its set back from the street next to the library. The place is tiny. And only has room for about four people on the inside. It makes an effort to remedy this with a lot of additional seating outside but it was practical as it was a very cold day. We got a ginger cupcake that wasn’t too sweet and a chocolate cookie that was a hit with the kids. The salads and prepared foods looked amazing but we didn’t try any. I really like that they also tell you where all their foods ingredients come from. I’d love to try on a warmer day so we wouldn’t have to take the food to go.

Alfies’ is awesome! Love their chicken salad, tuna, not to mention their baked goods for breakfast(pumpkin choc. chip bread, blueberry scones, etc.). Everything is super fresh! BTW, great french press coffee! I’m super-picky and love this place.

I’ve been using Unilocal for a few years but have never actually signed up or posted a review until today. Unilocal led us astray with Alfie’s. After reading glowing review after glowing review, we figured it was the place for us. Once we squeezed in to the tiny location we were initially impressed by the array of salads and sandwich possibilities. Things got a little confusing when a bewildered child with an iPad took our order. You see, there was customer behind us who had ordered cheesecake, but did not actually receive his dessert, so he came back in from the patio to ask for it(very politely, in my opinion.) An adult employee emerged from the back and responded in a condescending and rude manner. I can go on about the awkwardness of this exchange, but there are far worse things to comment on. Once we ordered, I paid in cash and the bewildered child said they’d bring the food out. A few minutes after settling in to an outdoor seat, the youngster brought out my wife’s sandwich. We asked about mine– the bewildered look returned, and he went back inside. A few more minutes passed and the rude & condescending man brought out my sandwich and said«you weren’t charged for this, so you might want to come in when you get a chance and pay for it.» Confused, I grabbed a menu, added up our total– two $ 7 sandwiches, 2 drinks, and a cookie came to the $ 20 we paid, so I went inside to clear things up. The rude man immediately looked up at me and said he «hadn’t figured it out yet» and demanded that I return to my lunch and come in to pay after I was done. Two bites into the turkey meatloaf and I was done. No flavor, cold, dry, and loaded with overly-herby hummus. As we were giving up on lunch, the rude man came back outside and introduced himself as Sam, the owner. He explained that there was no record of our order or our payment. He also said there was no way to show that I had paid. I assured him that I had, but it was obvious by his condescending tone that he thought I was stealing this very underwhelming food from him. If I could have given this experience zero stars, I would have. I have never seen anyone in food service treat customers with the contempt that this man did. Sam, if you do read this, I paid for my lunch and it was not delicious. Your attitude made it that much worse.

This is a great place for anyone! They have a wide variety of soups, salad, side dishes, and sandwiches. They also focus on local and organically grown foods. I’ve had the egg salad, beet salad, chicken apricot salad, kale salad, tuna salad, spicy coleslaw, and I’ve probably had more but just can’t remember. The main point is that it is ALL very good!!!

Alfie’s food is amazing and so healthy, featuring local grown products. The Happy Tummy salad is a delicious spinach salad with chickpeas, quinoa, sunflower seeds and more! Tucked away from traffic it provides ambiance plus nutritious food at affordable prices.

Okay, I guess i am a statistical outlier because i found this place memorable only because it is in my past, not my future. Warning!!! A good thing to note is that gratuity is already included in the menu price… A bad point is that the ipad bill at checkout still offers the opportunity to add an additional15, 25% tip, which if you didn’t notice it in the menu, effectively doubles the unwarranted tip. We didn’t want to tip anyway, based on the snarky and even condescending attitude of the proprietor. My turky meatloaf was dry, cold, and bland. Of note, others in my pack loved the Kale salad and chicken salad.

Alfie’s is probably my favorite restaurant outside of Columbus. My dad and I have a tradition of coming here every Saturday and having breakfast and then going across the street to the farmer’s market. I get the greek yogurt with house made granola… every time. It is delicious. I am a HUGE granola and greek yogurt fan, and finding a good bowl of it is always a treat; Alfie’s exceeds expectations. I’ve also had their coffee, which is French press style, brewed to order. It takes about 4 minutes and costs $ 3, so if you’ve got the time and money to blow, it’s pretty decent coffee. $ 3 is a little more than I like to spend on a cup of coffee, but overall, their prices aren’t bad. The pastries run about $ 2-$ 3(I’ve heard both the blueberry scone and muffins are tasty), the granola and greek yogurt is $ 4, and their salads and sandwiches are about $ 4-$ 7. For the price, you get a nutritious, filling, local, and most importantly taste bud pleasing meal. The building can be a little tricky to find if you don’t know where to look or are just wandering around aimlessly. Its a very small house tucked behind the Granville library. Emphasis on the«small» because it is very close to a shack. They have a few small tables outside, and one small table inside. Great to enjoy a meal outside during the summer, but I’m not too sure about the winter. The employees are all really nice and you can tell they have a love for serving their customers a product they care about. Overall, Alfie’s is a good find with with even better food.

There selection changes every day and it’s always fresh! I love it, I’m a big foodie. I was in a week or two ago and I ordered the carrot and cauliflower soup. I imagined it would be like a creamy butternut squash bisque but it was better! It had the heart texture that you want when soup is all your going to have for lunch — especially on a budget. I’ve been here a few times but I just had to write a review since I’ll be moving soon. DELICIOUSNESSLIVESHERE!

Alfie’s is literally a hidden gem. Tucked away on Broadway between the library and museum, you don’t want to miss it! I am a huge advocate for anything local, especially when it comes to the food I consume. I was so happy to find that Alfie’s feels the same way, and I am now a huge supporter! I didn’t give it five stars because the menu probably isn’t large enough to please everyone, but I guarantee you will leave feeling full and satisfied in the healthiest way possible. Not much seating either, but perfect for a lunch on the go!

My Mom and I popped into Alfie’s on Saturday morning and had the day’s frittata, granola with Greek yogurt, and fresh salads. We also shared a pot of French press coffee, which was brewed for exactly four minutes. Everyone was beautifully presented and delicious. A friendly, casual atmosphere with affordable yet upscale food.
