The rangers at New Germany State Park recommended The Cornucopia Café to us and we were not disappointed! The food, service and ambiance were impeccable. I’ve never been to a restaurant as warm and welcoming as this one. Prices are reasonable and there is something delicious for every budget. We were served complimentary tomato soup and it was the best tomato soup I’ve had. I ordered the CROISSANTPANINI and my wife had the PIMENTOCHEESEWICHEY both were delicious and everyone at our table enjoyed their meals as well. Next time I come back, and I will come back, I’m getting the Fettuccine Alfredo. The restaurant is set in a historic village with log buildings and next to a large historic bridge that spans Casselman River. I can’t say enough positive about our experience here!

Had a late breakfast here and everything was scrumptious. If you are looking for a traditional breakfast of steak, eggs, and home fries please consider visiting PennAlps or the Casselman. The breakfast we chose, the panini and the breakfast bagel sandwich were both very flavorful and a good portion. Prices were reasonable and the wait staff very nice. This restaurant would be the perfect spot for a gathering.

This is my third visit, first for breakfast. I love love love the building. It is so warm and inviting! All of the meals I’ve had have been delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable. Portion sizes are spot on. Not so much that you are uncomfortable, but pleasantly full. I recommend this place anytime you are in the Grantsville area!

This place has not been open that long. Maybe 3 months. It’s located at Pen Alps off Route 40 in a nice rustic building with new everything. It was December and it was mild and the outdoor seating was tempting. There are a lot of table outside and around back there is a nice view of the Casselman River. Inside it’s got a rustic, simple décor, a nice bar area and a split dining area with a fireplace on end. There is also a coffee/cappuccino bar just as you enter. Seems out of place, but they are working with the space. We ate at the bar for lunch. Nice Italian/Mediterranean menu with sandwiches and appetizers. Service was very friendly. They had a nice selection of beers — all micros and some local. No bud or miller on draft. They also seemed to have a nice wine selection although we didn’t order wine. Both of us got sandwiches that came out quickly and they were both very good. Great combinations of meat, toppings and spreads on unique artisan breads — toasted nice and warm. I got the soup of the day which was a navy bean and ham and it was perfect for the meal. The Muffaletta I ordered was tasty — salty meats, a tapenade type spread and arugula and melted cheeses. Really good. My brother got the Roast beef and said it was fantastic. Overall — a great first try and we’ll be back. Hopefully on a day we can sit outside and enjoy the views.

Super cute. Great menu and service. We went for breakfast. Perfect for both a Sit down or quick coffee at the coffee bar. I had breakfast pizza and my 10 year old son had a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich nice outdoor patio with heaters at each table views of the stream.

Lovely stop for dinner off of the Interstate after a day at Fallingwater and ohiopyle. The décor is that of a rustic barn, but well appointed with modern touches like a fireplace and a full service bar and café. Our server, Tina, was well informed and suggested both a on excellent beer flight and several awesome desserts. Totally worth a diversion and infinitely nicer than any of the«fast casual» options along the freeway.

We stopped by for breakfast the day after Thanksgiving. The food was excellent; the servers were friendly; the atmosphere was really interesting. This place is worth checking out.(And if you happen to have an EV, they have a charging station in the parking lot.)

What a great find! Nice attention to detail and food with interesting twists like pumpkin seeds in my Cobb and a kick of spice in the yummy tomato soup.

We decided to drive over from Oakland and try this new restaurant. What a great spot! The décor is well done with the upscale barn look. The food is excellent, the prices are were great. We tried a few apps, a salad and split the Shrimp and Grits for an entrée. The grits could have been a little spicer but were quite good. Everything was delicious and the staff was incredibly efficient. The manager even came over to chat and make sure everything was to our liking. Dessert was Cheesecake with Maple topping and Coffee comes with your choice of their homemade cream flavorings. We chose Hazelnut and Pumpkin Spice. Definitely going back. So excited to have this place in our arsenal of good restaurants in the area.

Came off Hwy to get gas and stopped here for breakfast. GF options. Great coffee, tasty bagel & lox. Fast service and extremely kind staff. Fireplace. Rustically modern. Better food quality and price than any fast food chain.

Our family stopped there on our last road trip. We always try to eat a hearty and filling breakfast somewhere we’ll pick out of Google so we can hit the road with our tummy filled. This place was a great surprise! The place is tastefully arranged with great tables and stools, a fire place AND the food was good + the staff was very friendly, would definitely recommend!

Good coffee and scones. We have a house in deep creek and Stopped in to check out the menu. Very nice staff. Great atmosphere but needs some music. Came back for dinner the following night. The menu was kind of odd with not much of a selection. We ordered about 10 things for 3 people. Portions were small and food was bland. I really don’t use salt but need Salton the pesto chicken Flatbread and burrito bowl which consisted of plain white rice canned black beans, jarred salsa and about 2 bites of chicken and avacados. Roll was better than the chicken on the pulled chicken sandwich and the cornicopia appetizer was kind of weird all together. Was disappointed in the food for such a nice place. I hope they change their menu
