My daughter has attended PLC for a short while now and she is moving on this coming fall, but I just wanted to say how caring the staff at PLC is. The administrator there, Randye E., is very conscientious and knows her stuff. She knows each student at PLC. She knows their strengths, opportunities, and anything else. PLC is a great place for kids having behavior problems in the classroom. PLC is a Non-Public School that works with all of the school districts in Placer County as well as many in Sacramento and El Dorado counties, and I was very skeptical at first as my daughter didn’t seem to really need PLC. But the school staff really knew what they were doing, and they even explained the process to my child, which really helped her to understand a lot of things. This is just how they are — conscientious. They answer every email, every question, patiently and professionally. The education is tailored to the child. PLC also offers parents support. They know what it’s like to raise a special needs child, and they will work with parents to be as supportive as possible. Bottom line — they care about their students. They don’t label these kids as good or bad — they just accept the child where the child is at, and then find ways to move forward that work for that child. Class sizes are small enough to do that, and the teachers know what they’re doing and care about each child in the classroom. I’m really glad my daughter went to PLC and I’m glad that I got to meet the awesome professionals there.
