My son needed a haircut so I decided to take him here for the first time. The place is great for children as they have lots of toys for them to play with while you wait. The lady that cut my son’s hair was nice enough and cut his hair super fast. It wasn’t the greatest haircut but it’s understandable since my 2-year-old wasn’t sitting still for too long. Only thing I didn’t appreciate was that she kept calling someone telling them she had lost her money. She did this more than once and I thought it was a bit unprofessional. Other than that it was ok over all.

Lynn does a wonderful job with my screaming son who hates haircuts! He cries everytime but Lynn is patient and kind. There are numerous vehicles for boys and girls to ride when they are getting their hair cut including a hummer, convertible, hello kitty car and more. The TV helps distract the kids as well. While waiting, there is a huge toy area for kids to play in. My son usually goes to the train table and is distracted until it’s his time. $ 20 for haircut not including tip. Parking is easy. Location is nice but I believe they are moving across the street soon.

Best place for kids haircut in Sacramento area. My 2 year old and 3 year old boys always come here for a haircut. We usually go to Lynn and she always do a great job. Also the kids wont cry during the haircut because of all those car like seats. Also the kids entertainment section has lot of toys which keeps kids occupied.

My son has curly hair and it hard to maintain. I am always worried that someone will not know how to cut it and mess it up. This was our second time at a salon for kids. When we walked in the place was empty and the woman was on the phone. She greeted us and said let me clean up, I assumed she meant one chair and she would seat us. She started cleaning ALL the stations while talking about coffee sizes and prices. We waited about 5 – 10 minutes for her to get off the phone. Once settled in the seat, she interacted great with our 13 month old. Phone rang twice and she left the station to answer it. I understand she was the only one there but it was a little unprofessional leaving a child in a seat, mid haircut to get the phone. But I will say, the haircut was exactly what I asked for! She made clean lines and everything was even. It was an overall good experience. And I will be probably be back.

I have taken my son to Lollipop Cuts two times now and will continue to take him here for his cuts. He got his first hair cut here when he was 12 months old. They saved a little lock for me and put it in a cute little keepsake card. There is a plethora of toys and other distractions for the kiddos, plus the cars that double as their seat. My son loves the fire truck! I have had both stylists cut my son’s hair and they both do an excellent job. He wiggles a lot and can get fussy, but they were quick and accurate with their scissors. Plus, they would pull out toys to distract him. This place make it very easy for mom and dad. I do wish they took credit card though.

I was visiting my hometown. I heard rav reviews from several people. I took my son and daughter in. My sons hair they did a little boy short cut. It is clumpy, with longer pieces in areas where there should not be. His hair was cut by a women who I believe to own the place. My daughters long hair was trimmed. There were random chunks taken out and it is not the same length on each side. The women who cut my daughters hair I could tell was new and several women came over to make suggestion of fixing but none of them actually helped. Then when it was time to pay I expected to pay $ 18 like the other people around me were paying. They charged me $ 20. Needless to say this $ 40 waste of money. I had to take both my children to our lady near our home to fix. Sad this did not workout. Wish I would have been more aggressive in having them fix and paying a fair price.

This woman is A-mazing! Like watching magic in action when my 18 month old grandson threw THE biggest tantrum I’ve ever seen as soon as she started. He was Armageddon and she was«Full Metal Jacket» with her clippers, dancing around as his body thrashed. He looked adorable in the end and she deserved way more than she charged. She should have gotten combat pay! My hat is off to a woman who might not be able to make kids happy all the time, but sure can get the job done. Thank you so much.

When my daughter turned 5 she decided she wanted to cut off her long beautiful hair to a short, cute, stylish layered bob. We had just moved to Granite Bay so I thought I would give this salon a try. She was quick, rude and did a sloppy job. My daughter just cut off 7+in and was trying to look at the back with the mirror and was told rudely she needed to get out of her chair her regular was walking in the door and then begins greeting her«regulars» like she was seriously a different person happy, smiling, ready to take her time… She didnt even add any cute layers. I was so sad my daughter was cutting her hair in the first place and then to have this horriable experience I will NEVER go back. EVER. Thankfully my daughter looked in the mirror and said«she mom I knew it would be gorgeous» which was amazing but the customer service was ZERO and the skills to do girls hair cute was non-existent. Maybe if you just need a trim? We travel into Roseville for Jack and Jillybeans now.

My son loves coming here, and I always leave very happy with his haircut! He’s seen Lynn and Deborah, and both have done a great job on his hair. My son(4 years old) actually gets excited to go here and get his haircut, so you know that’s a good sign. The establishment is clean, the price is fair, it’s easy to get an appointment, and I always enjoy chatting with the ladies at the salon while they’re working my son’s hair. What more could you ask for?

A great place to take kids for a hair cut. Definitely entertaining. My son received a good trim but it left something to be desired. Luckily he’s so darn cute he looks cute with any cut. I may come here again while he’s young because of the convenience factor.

My husband starting taking our almost 2 year old son here about a year ago and he loves it! My husband gets his hair cut by the owner as well and is very happy every time with the cut.

After a day I realized my daughters haircut is totally crooked, so not only did she not cut as requested she did a bad job. Don’t go here!

I have brought my children to Lollipop Cuts four times previously, and always been tremendously happy with the service and the haircuts. However, today’s experience throws them into the realm of Gods, or at least, justifies them as the best hair salon for children. Today, my two-year-old threw a tantrum. I mean the kind of tantrum that makes you question how good of a mother you are; the kind of tantrum that embarrasses you; the kind of tantrum that makes you pack up your child, bring them home and reassess all your life choices. I was beyond humiliated, and my toddler deserved an Oscar for her rendition of «two-year-old being attacked by a velociraptor». Deborah, our stylist, not only was willing to put up with this tantrum, but backed me up! «If you leave now, she will only learn the tantrums get her what she wants.» She was absolutely right, but how many people do you know that would be willing to cut your child’s hair when they were in the throes of a tantrum that could bring down the house? So here we were, with a screaming, crying, flailing two-year-old, a thoroughly embarrassed mother, and Deborah, ready and willing to do battle. She helped me strap my daughter into the little red Coca-Cola car(she was worried that the demon might fall out well pitching this fit), and then told me to have a seat. The battle swung into full effect. Whilst Barney played on the big TV, my daughter screamed, she cried, she even tried slapping(I tried to step in but it was clear that my attendance was only making it worse so from here on out, at Deborah’s insistence, I curled into a ball and tried my hardest to disappear into the floor tiles). Her whole tactic was«get mom or dad to take me out of this car», so eventually she pulled out the«I have to go potty» excuse and Deborah took her to the potty! This woman had the kind of confidence that only comes from having been in the trenches and survived. She explained that she had been here before, and while cutting my daughter’s hair, soothed my damaged pride. What an angel. Upon returning from the bathroom, my daughter surrendered. She asked for a lollipop, watched Barney and submitted to her haircut. As usual, she left looking fantastic, even if she was a bit puffy and red eyed. I left a 25% tip(all the cash in my wallet or I would have left more) and walked out the door still thanking and apologizing to this wonderful woman. I’m sorry to say I will be inflicting my daughter upon their establishment in the future, the haircuts and service are too good to pass up, but I promise to never again make anyone endure that kind of abuse, even if they are willing. Thanks again, Deborah. You are awesome!

Been here twice for kids haircuts. First time was for my 20 month old boy and he cried the whole time but they did great with him. The 2nd time we did him and my daughter and it was a great experience again and would not go anywhere else. It’s funny because there really busy that it’s the parents who are the impatient ones and not the hair stylist. If you guys dont wanna wait because there’s so busy make a damn appointment. It’s not there fault there scrambling with all the kids crying they are actually handling things great with all the comotion in there we parents have to wait our turn and be patient.

Debra was great. Love the shop, as did my two year daughter. Loves to distract them while they she was in the chair. Feel like I got a great cut. A bit out of my way, but worth it. Will return.

took my one year old to get his first haircut here and it was a lovely experience! They have a great play area for kids to use while waiting to get the haircut. the chair we used was a fire engine with a wheel to play with, my son found this entertaining and it kept him occupied while the hairdresser did her thing. They also have TVs in front of the chairs with developmentally appropriate shows… this really kept my sons attention so it was easy to get his hair trimmed up. Only complaint(which is kinda a big complaint) is that there is no place to change diapers??? Seems like common sense to me to provide the proper ammenties at a child’s hair salon. I had to change my sons diaper in my jeep.

Going to be honest, we didn’t know what to expect and were worried about having a bad experience with our sons first haircut. Deborah quickly put those worries to rest. The salon is geared towards small kids. As soon as we walked in our kids were excited to be there. There is a huge waiting area with tons of toys for them to play with. They were comfortable right away! Deborah was doing a cut when we walked in. We had made an appointment and she welcomed us genuinely and asked if we could wait. We were nervous, so we did not mind waiting to watch the current haircut. She was awesome with the baby boy she was working with. The cut was perfect. When it came time for our sons haircut, he jumped up in the fire truck and was entertain by a tv playing Thomas(his favorite show) and some Thomas toys. He wasn’t excited to have a apron on, and was mildly fussy. Deborah did a great job at giving us the perfect cut for our son and making sure we got exactly what we wanted. Our son moved a lot but this was not a big deal for her. She navigated his head with ease. It was amazing to watch really. His haircut was perfect. Without us asking, she gave us a keepsake with a curl from his tiny head in a postcard with the date and info about his cut. Great experience. We will be back.

Unless you’re happy to put a bowl over your child’s head and cut around, then come here. By cutting their hair yourself, you are just saving money for the therapy they’ll need later, parental units. We love this place. They understand working with kids especially small children. We have been here twice and have had two different stylist and they have been equally good with my two year old. When getting your toddler boy, imagine a feral ferret in a pillowcase, a haircut requires you seek the services of someone who understands how to 1. move fast 2. tell, show, do so child isn’t scared 3. endless patience 4. skillful in using clipper and/or scissors on a moving target They have all four qualities at lollipop cuts. Great environment with lots of toys and cute car chairs. Lollipops are of course available. We will be back in a couple months. Yes, we drive from Carmichael to Granite Bay. Yes, I know there is a place in East Sac that cuts kids hair also. Still coming here. Ideally, make an appointment, they get busy.
