DELI: On June 7th2016, We purchased the 12piece Chicken dinner, first we are told that it comes with two sides when we know it comes with three plus rolls-My husband asked how long the chicken was under the heat lamp and they stated 20 minutes. We get the«meal» home and the chicken meat is shriveled up and the skin is like leather-It was under that lamp alot longer than 20 minutes!(Hint: THEYLIE about the length of time this chicken sits!) The«Hoosier» fries also must have been sitting awhile too because they were soggy! The rolls were really stale! Inedible! We called to speak with the store manager, He had gone home @ 2:00 pm. We asked to speak with the DELI manager, She was not there either! So we get the next person in the chain of command, explained what had happened & she was of no help… What we got was the standard cowardly«I apologize” — Customer service needs to understand that«I apologize» means NOTHING to a consumer who spends their hard earned money in good faith and gets old nasty warmed til it takes the taste out shriveled up garbage or product! Do not waste your money on this so called DELI– its too EXPENSIVE to get the crap they serve.

Growing up right down the street from this martins I’ve always gone here for groceries and always had a great experience. I’m longing for a grocery store too this caliper out in Lake County Indiana. Granted it’s not as fancy as the one in Heritage Square, but the knollwood people are damn picky.

Martins corporate really needs to look into this location. Although the staff are always friendly here, we have been disappointed time and time again over the quality of the food, especially the dairy. I don’t know if they’re not storing things properly, or re-labeling(really don’t think they would), but it’s just totally unreliable. We’ve had milk and yogurt spoil within a day or purchase, or opened it only to throw it away because it was already spoiled. Sometimes the food is still within a week or two of expiring, but early on, before we knew to check at the store, we purchased foods only to find they’d already expired before we even bought them! Just today, I opened a container of feta with an expiry date of 1÷26÷13, and it was unedible. We’ve been frustrated too many times, and now question the safety of other food items in this store. We love the Heritage Square location — very clean and reliable. Guess we’ll drive the extra 10 minutes to shop there from now on.
