Great store but don’t bring your kids: the owners will give you stink eye like you’ve never seen. I used to shop here all the time and recommend it everyone. But last time I was in there, I was in the middle of telling my 2-​year-​old daughter not to put her feet on anything when the owner swooped in to also lecture me and my daughter about how they sell their furniture off the floor (hence why I was preemptively telling her to be careful). I have never felt less welcome. I’m done with this place.

Store owners Mike and Lenn go out of their way to keep this place perfect. Anytime I’ve gotten flowers here, they’ve lasted for weeks longer than the same flowers elsewhere; for example, gerbera daisies that go strong for three weeks.
You can find a beautiful pre-​made bouquet here for under $ 15, or put together a custom order for something even nicer. Unmissable.

These guys are unbelievable! They have the best taste of any store in Grand Rapids. Not only that, they’ll do anything for you. After I experienced a fiasco with an online retailer not getting me a product for five months, Lenn ordered it for me and had it in a matter of weeks! Not only that, they delivered them to my house! Forget online — support local merchants!!!

Wealthy and Charles is a unique flower and decorating shop. They have reasonably priced cut flowers that vary according to the season. The service here is excellent. Check out the lovely garden on the west side of the store for landscaping ideas.

Wealthy at Charles is like being invited into someone’s (stylish) home to shop. It’s comfortable and unpretentious. It’s a lovely place to find objects d’art and home décor. They have a modern array of accessories, gifts, candles, and outdoor accessories, plus their fresh flowers are great. They have a wide range of price points, so you can walk away with something small and special or with a big splurge.
The store is eclectic, sophisticated and modern — and the owners — Lenn & Mike are gracious and welcoming. They know how to make you feel at home and help you find what you are looking for without being pushy or too sales-​y.
I loved wandering around and visiting with them as well as meeting their VERY cute Frenchie & Boston Terrier.

The store is situated within a beautifully restored home which has been transformed into an intimate shopping experience for home style enthusiasts.
The wall colors are a cool dove gray juxtaposed against a muted eggplant color. The entire template is framed by burnished wood floors. Very simple, very elegant… very calm.
The store features an eclectic and ever changing array of products for the home, gifts, accessories and stylish floral creations. In between attending to clients, Mike one of the owners shares about the history of the home and the artistic accents which fill the store with elegance and color.
You feel as though you are in an artists’ studio… the displays evoke moments of unexpected spontaneity. Luscious pillow displays and beautiful area rugs transition into whimsical mini statues and riotous bouquets of flowers. You could spend an hour in this place and still have trouble deciding what to purchase.
I finally settle on my purchase which is carefully wrapped up with a bow and tissue. This is certainly a store worth visiting… as much for the experience of first class service as the creativity which illumines every spare square inch of retail space.
If you’re in the area during more seasonally temperate weather, you’ll enjoy visiting the lovely garden which occupies a lot adjacent to the store.
