Not impressed with the staff. The slow play is also a downer. The course is not worth what they are charging. You are much better off going to Boulder Creek.

So noisy that the servers had to lean down within inches of each person to take their order. And the food just wasn’t that good. This was our first time and there’s no reason to come back.

We have been eating at the Acorn Grille on Thousand Oaks Golf Course on 5 Mile NE on a monthly basis. Site, ambiance, service are always good. Saturday nights they have half price appetizers. Our meals have always been good but often miss the outstanding. One night I did their burrito n margarita. The burrito was dry, no sauce available and was only saved by the addition of salsa which was not offered up front. 11⁄29 we did escargot, calamari, filet mignon and the stuffed pork chop in addition to drinks. The escargot needed a more garlicky sauce, the filet was done a bit beyond his rare rare request and my pork chop was tasty but a bit tough… over cooked as there was no juice in it. Drinks and wine selection are good. Summer and Fall views are lovely. Their food presentation is good. We still like the place and will continue as customers hoping they can raise the bar in the kitchen and make themselves worthy of 5 stars.

4 stars food is excellent can’t hear music in the bar area needs updating I love a cozy old school look but they could update a lot. Food and drinks are excellent always have specials and the staff is fantastic. I will go back. If the atmosphere was like blue water it would be a 5 star.

I came here with my parents two weeks ago after touring ArtPrize! Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, and the atmosphere was comfortable and scenic! What really made the experience top notch was the service provided by Stephanie! She was spot on with her recommendations and her timing/attentiveness sealed the deal. The next time I visit from the Boston area I will return and request her again!

Received an invitation to dinner and it was fantastic. I originally chose one item but the waitress when asked for her suggestion gave me a recommendation that was awesome. My wife also made an excellent decision with stuffed chicken and we started it all with a perfect appetizer of wild mushroom crostini with goat cheese, to die for! I have enjoyed a few quick meals here in the past but tonight was the reason we will be going back for more.

Came here for lunch with my clients and it was pretty good. I got the salmon salad and it was tasty. Nothing to rave about. Your average fair. I absolutely loved the waitress, Stephanie. She was attentive and super sweet! The views are nice and it was pretty quiet which was nice. Would like to come back for dinner if I could have her serve us! :)

Came here today with my wife for an afternoon date. Unfortunately we were unable to sit in the main dining room due to a renovation. We were led upstairs where we found a spot overlooking the golf course. I ordered the bowl of French onion soup and my wife had the prosciutto wrapped scallops for appetizers. The soup is delicious and not too salty. The scallops were $ 11.95 and were good but there was only two and they were not large(about the circumference of a quarter). At this price point we thought there should have been more than two. My wife ordered the pecan cherry salad with added salmon for $ 4.00. She really enjoyed the salmon and found it was a much better price to value than the scallops. I ordered the Ruben which comes with your choice of side, I had the onion rings. While the sandwich looked good I found it dry and really not that good. Overall the lunch was pleasing not because of the food but because I was with my wife. I will try the Acorn Grille at Thousand Oaks again but it will be a while.

This is a diamond in the rough… yes, Acorn Grill sits on the golf course… we found the Acorn through a website which offered a discount. We didn’t know what to expect and brought two of our college junior boys. Menu was very large, excellent appetizers, read meat, fish, chicken. Everything was excellent. Greeting, seating, menu, service, speed of food, quality of food was tremendous. The menu I a bit pricey upon first glance but the quality and service warrant the pricing. We ate during Feb, late dinner so we had no view of the golf course. I image summer/fall offer a beautiful view.

Went to a special event here and the food was bland like hospital cafeteria. The steak was very boring and everything else including the cheese appetizers w/fruit were bland. Perhaps the normal dining might be better — but I wouldn’t try it after the event experience I had.

Really good food. Nice atmosphere. Good service usually. Weekly specials are usually worth trying. Good happy hour drink specials on Thursday. $ 3 house wine and the house Cab is decent for $ 3 Thusday also has $ 128oz Prime Rib w Mashed Potato and Veggie plus Soup or Salad. Great deal! GREAT Crème Brûlée for desert. We go back again and again One if our favorites in GR for quality and value and we are not even members if the Golf Club

Went for Mother’s Day Brunch yesterday. Fair selection but our entire table thought the food was very bland. It was not bad just very boring with little flavor. The only thing that had any«taste» were the dinner rolls with rosemary.

One word: meatloaf. Get it and not only will you be impressed you’ll eat for days on it. A generous portion of meatloaf stacked on top of whipped mashed potatoes and served with the best zucchini fires I’ve ever had. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice and clean(we sat in the bar). My only suggestion would be to have more of a beer selection. Draft beer was kind of minimal and still had Bell’s summer brew, which I thought was a little late? Also, no dessert menu was offered… oh well :-/ Overall, our experience was great and I’d recommend this place to anyone! date of visit: 10÷29÷11 approx. 6:30pm
