The Green Well Spring Spectacular

I’m super late writing this review, but I had the Best Time Ever at The Green Well Spring Spectacular! It was my first time at the Green Well, and I loved getting the chance to see and taste so many things on their menu. As soon as I walked in, I noticed that the restaurant feels upscale with beautiful modern décor. As it got later and they got busier, I noticed that they make great use of their space– it doesn’t feel crowded even when it’s busy. Also, the bathrooms are the nicest I’ve seen in a long time. :) Service was fast and friendly. They offer vegetarian menu items and also are happy to alter menu items — like the corkscrew mac & cheese, which they prepared for me without the bacon & ham. The bread crumbs make it feel very fancy, but my favorite dish was the (vegetarian-​friendly) Harvest Salad — pears, dried cherries, candied walnuts, goat cheese, and maple walnut vinaigrette. WOW.

I adore The Green Well; inventive menu, professional and affable staff, prime location. The Spring Spectacular Unilocal event was above and beyond my expectations and won this restaurant a «forever home» in my heart. Kudos to Amanda L., our host, and the management and staff for creating a memorable and delightful experience for us all! My favorites from our varied and well-​curated tasting menu were the Cola Braised Beef with Sweet Potato Mash and the Lamb Vindaloo.

What a fun event! So glad to be invited. The food and drinks were ahhh-​mazing and we’ll be enjoying the prizes for months to come.

Fantastic event, I had actually never heard of this hidden treasure until this Unilocal event.
I have to say thanks to Unilocal I now know another amazing place in Grand Rapids to eat.
The event layout was great, and the company was even better.

Really a fantastic event. The host and all of the servers made us truly feel like we were the most important customers in the restaurant. It was like we had our own catered party
Our main server Tao was so pleasant and helpful, I wanted a Non-​Alcoholic beer and they had none in the cooler so they ran across the street to get one from a sister restaurant and she totally made it feel like I wasn’t putting them out
The food was interesting and delicious. I have eaten a lot of things, and most of what was on the table was really just a different, although high quality, version of things I have had elsewhere in other classy joints, but they surprised me with the Cola Braised Beef… it, paired with the Mac-​n-​Cheese made me want to curl up and sleep in it. DELICIOUS!!!
I really enjoyed my time.
If I had to find one constructive thing to offer as criticism, it would be a little more clarity in communication regarding vegetarian items… I only say that because 2 people at my table were vegetarians who seemed a bit confused on what they could request, but the server cleared it up and found great options for both of them. But really… who cares about vegetarians… this is a gastro pub… not a hippie commune

Thanks to The Green Well and our lovely host @AmandaL for putting on such a fun Unilocal event tonight! The evening was full of incredible food, drinks, service, and company and was the perfect way to kick off the week! (Who says Monday has to suck!?)
I loved the opportunity to try so many menu items that I wouldn’t normally think to order. Great event all around!
