I shipped an 8-​foot farm table from Grand Rapids to NYC. The quote from this Pak Mail location was about the same as Navis, a pack and ship company, so I decided to go with Pak Mail as the owner Jeff Kregel was very responsive from the beginning. The estimate for arrival was 1 – 4 weeks originally, but took actually took 10 weeks. I was disappointed to learn during this period that shipping at the end of the year (late Nov), into NYC, and with a couple winter storms in the Northeast meant delays were inevitable and expected. I also wasn’t happy to find out that some internal office mistakes among the way (between the long distance shipping vendor and PakMail pickup store) caused several more weeks delay. But after bringing my concern to both Jeff and his long distance carrier vendor, they agreed to give me about a 10% discount, and I felt much better about the transaction. The table itself arrived blanket wrapped and hand delivered inside my door. The delivery team also set up the table for me, which was an added courtesy. I feel like my antique table was taken care of very well. And Jeff was available by text anytime I had a concern and his shipping partner, Del, was also reachable by cell phone quite easily. All in all I am satisfied with the transaction and wouldn’t hesitate to do business again, albeit perhaps not during the holidays and during a winter storm period.
