I used to work on the West Side and Fu Garden was my primary Chinese stop for lunch. My fiancé and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon and I was just as impressed as always. I got the hot and spicy chicken, extra spicy, and she got the beef and garlic sauce. The lunch specials are a great deal. For $ 4.95, you get a more than generous portion of your dish, fried rice, and two crab rangoons. The meals are prepared fresh, and the vegetables are always bright and crunchy. There’s usually enough to take home leftovers. I’ll definitely be back again.

Fu Garden by far has one of the best lunch specials around. While they are primarily a takeout location, there are a few tables to sit at to enjoy your meal. The entrees are always prepared fresh and the meals are pretty tasty. And, for $ 4.95, it’s hard to beat.

Extremely rude and not friendly. Food was subpar but I won’t go back. They don’t deserve the service…

It was bad… so so bad. I wouldn’t go back if I was getting paid to eat it. I came here for a first date Chinese take out kind of thing and it was so bad. I wouldn’t even feed the chicken to my dog(and she eats chicken three days a week). If you want good Chinese, you may as well just move to the east side of the state cuz it’s all bad out here.

We used to order from here quite a bit and for a long time it was our go to for Chinese but little by little the Fu Garden I loved has disappeared. We ordered lunch carryout and I ordered the hot and spicy chicken. I had ordered it previously and expected lightly fried crunchy chicken in a slightly spicy sauce with bits of pepper. When I opened my ordered there was broccoli, stir-fried chicken and huge chunks of onion(which I can’t eat) staring back at me. I called thinking there had been some kind of mistake and the gentleman who answered was rude. I asked him what was supposed to be in hot and spicy chicken and he said onion, broccoli and chicken. OK, so then I asked what he thinks I could have gotten the previous time when I had the order I actually enjoyed he curtly said that they don’t fry any of the chicken but sweet and sour(which it wasn’t). So either I got the wrong order then or now and in either case they didn’t really care.
The instance that really was the nail in the coffin for us though was last week about an hour after my husband ate his lunch he came down with a migraine. His migraines are usually food triggered and MSG is a huge culprit. We always double check before ordering to make sure its not used. I thought they didn’t used to use it but since I needed to rule it out I called. it went like this «Hi my husband ordered the garlic beef and peppers can you tell me if you use MSG» «No we don’t use» «Ok he’s sick can you tell me.» –CLICK– THEYHUNGUPONME. Actually hung up on me. Now imagine if you have food allergies and needed to find out if a certain ingredient had been used and it was life or death and they hung up on you?! For SHAME Fu Garden, what a horrible way to treat your customers. Fu Garden? More like F.U. Garden

This is the best quick inexpensive Chinese food I have ever had. The chicken was real chicken. Lightly breaded instead that super crunchy hard stuff other places pass as chicken. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. I will be returning!

Good prices and decent food. I wouldn’t suggest eating there though. I asked for water and I don’t think they understood so I never got any. It was difficult to understand the workers due to their thick accents. I would possibly return, but for takeout only.

Imagine eating rainbows… Atop your translucent and majestic unicorn steed… Firing flaming arrows across a bridge made of diamonds over a valley of the most amazing waterfall you’ve ever thought of. A single tear rolls down your face as everything is right in the world. This is Fu Garden.

My sister discovered this place right after it opened and I’m so glad for it. Everything is super fresh and delicious. Pick up is always ready quickly. Rice is not dry nor soggy. My favorite dishes taste just like they should. Crab Rangoons are great. Best part? The portion sizes are huge for the price. I usually have leftovers of their $ 4.50 lunch specials to eat the next day. Slight negatives: — The décor is nothing to write home about, but I don’t think it needs to be(and you can always eat at home). — The owner has a thick accent, so you might not want to order over the phone. I don’t find this to be a problem as ordering there is so quick that I’d be worried it would be sitting out for awhile before I got there.

Got the sesame chicken and it was pretty good. The sweet & sour sauce on the other hand– not so much. Service was fast & friendly.

Hole in the wall Chinese carry out really affordable for college students for lunch and huge portions $ 4.50 cannot beat that anywhere! Really good quality food for chicken dishes! I tend to get this when I want good Chinese food I can rely on… I prefer this place over everywhere on the west side for Americanized Chinese food. Mom and pop carry out place

I live by this place and it’s where I always get Chinese food. For the most part the food I’ve tried here has been great and the service is really quick. I’d suggest the House Special Lo Mein or Sesame Chicken.
