Customer service is rude and incompetent. I went for the«buy one pair for $ 59.99 get another for $ 10» with free eye exam deal(I didn’t need the eye exam). The«$ 10» pair got a little tweaked when I accidentally stepped on them(don’t ask) and 2 weeks after that the weak spot gave out and the right temple just fell off so I figured I would use the good ol’ frame warranty and get them replaced since they were only a few months old. When I walked in the girl at the desk ignored me, I said hi, she told me to hang on she was helping someone else. I waited then she asked what she could do. I explained my situation and she informed me I had not purchased the«protection plan» so I would have to pay full price to replace the frames($ 59.99) I told her I was never offered a «protection plan» and she said every customer is offered it, rudely. So I asked about a warranty. She informed me again rudely that there was no warranty that’s why they sell the«protection plan». I told her that was too much money and she just shrugged and said ‘okay, sorry we can’t help you’. I walked out the door, and she never got out of her chair. I KNOW I was never offered a protection plan. Based on my initial experience getting the glasses in the first place I am not totally surprised but still pissed just the same. I will take my money back to EYEMART which is less than a mile from here where I previously bought glasses and they also have«buy one, get one deals» but ALL of their frames have a one year FREE warranty. No sneaky«protection plan» nonsense. And the staff has always been helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous at EYEMART. They also have a lab in-house which means glasses are ready in an hour or two instead of next week. The girls at Americas best act like they are working at a fast food restaurant. I have in no way been paid by EYEMART for this review nor am I affiliated with any of their employees. I just want to save people the awful experience when there’s better options. It’s so confusing trying to buy glasses when you are new to having them and its even more expensive when you get treated like dirt by the people who should at least TRY to help you out!

This is one of those«it is what it is» places. Don’t expect some top-notch experience as if you were to go to a private office. But If you don’t have vision insurance and need an exam pronto as well as some new glasses that won’t break the bank, look no further. After WebMD’ing my symptoms and self-diagnosing my eye pain as a horrible eye disease/brain tumor, I knew i wanted to get an eye exam for peace of mind. I called on Friday and got in Saturday. It was a little odd that the receptionist said there were no openings until after 4pm Saturday… but when I went online and used their self-booking system, I saw there were openings every 15 minutes starting at 9:30am…(I chose this option.) Not sure why she told me there was no availability. I opted for the extra Visual Field Test which is supposed to detect tumors, macular degeneration, you know,-all of the things I had diagnosed myself with. Luckily it came back clear. The optometrist realized my prescription had changed a lot and that was likely causing the headaches I was getting. I chose 2 pairs of glasses that are adorable with the updated prescription and voila– after a few days my eye problems went away. I would not hesitate to go back here. I think the 2 for $ 69 price is misleading to some people because it does not include any upgrades/reduced glare/special coatings for glasses. But if you’re someone like me who just needs a simple, decent pair to see correctly, look no further than America’s Best.

Staff is very friendly BUT the exam was like a ‘drive-thru’ experience. Upon having a second exam at a different doctor, I learned the America’s Best exam was not even close to sufficient. Additionally, the glasses I ordered with them were incorrect and had to be returned. Eventually, I canceled everything and am now hounding them for a refund with my insurance company that will allow me to get glasses at the new provider. Don’t bother with these guys. They are cheap, but sub-par!

They have great deals but only accept a few of the less popular insurances. I’ve gone here 2 times with a family member and both times took a while for a simple eye exam with only one doctor working. The staff is usually half friendly but this last time there was a younger girl working and she seemed like a bit of a smart —.
