Peak Performance Bicycles

I walked in an an employee (the owner maybe?) was working on a bike and didn’t even greet me. After walking around he asked what I was looking for, and I told him I was looking to buy a street bike, but not too sure where to start. He told me in exact words that he «didn’t have time for someone who doesn’t know what they want.» I said thanks anyways and left. I do not plan on returning and I suggest you do the same.

Incompetent. Dropped bike off for tune up and repair. Asked owner to call when he had a price or bike was ready. Never heard so dropped in to find bike parked outside as though for sale. Owner said that he had not called and had also not done the work because, in his opinion, the value of the bike did not warrant the expense of the repairs. He might be right but that is not his call to make. More likely this guy is just too lazy to do the work and prefers retail sales only. Extraordinarily example of poor customer service.

Nice place to have your Bicycle serviced, or if you want to buy a new bike/​equipment. The customer service isn’t the best, but the person I ran into does good work on my bike, so I am pretty happy. The price is a little higher on some things that I would like; but I am satisfied with the services rendered. My Bicycle was tuned up with new chain + brake cables and tire balance.

EXCELLENT service! I’ve been to this bike store twice now, first to put my bike together (I had to ship it across the country in a box) and the second time was nine months later to get a bike lock taken off. I misplaced my key after locking my bike up to itself and so I was hoping there was someway to disassemble the bike again to get the lock off. Low and behold, the owner of the store walked over to the counter and picked up a key and unlocked my bike lock! I had accidentally left my spare key there when I got my bike put together and he had held on to the key and recognized me! He also pumped my tires and adjusted my front break for free and sent me on my way! He’s not extremely talkative, but very helpful and considerate if you take the time to talk to him. Definitely will be back for all my bike needs! (P.S. Mount Holyoke College students — he will pick up and deliver your bikes for repairs if you don’t have a car to bring your bike to him!)
