I don’t know, maybe I’m just easy to please but I love this place. My family of four can grub a LOT of good food for less than 25 bucks. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The garlic sauce alone makes the place worth it. The tabouleh is excellent, I usually get a couple sides so that I can take them for lunch the following week. The chicken is always perfectly done, the pita fresh. Hummus is very good.

Their QC is hit or miss I have to say, when it’s a hit, the chicken is so tender but you really don’t know what you are gonna get. I never dine-in there, it’s kinda sad looking, takeout is alright.

I read a lot of negative reviews about this Zankou chicken but I don’t really understand why. I’ve been to 2 other Zankou Chicken, and they have all been pretty solid, including this one. I always get the kabob combo plate with 1 chicken skewer and 1 beef skewer. It comes with rice, pita bread, salad, tomato and hummus. The pita bread also comes with their special garlic sauce, which is to die for. A great thing about ordering their kabobs is that it is made to order. On the downside, made to order kabob takes 15 minutes to make, so be sure to phone your order in before you get there. For drinks this location has Diet Coke, cherry Coke, Minute Maid lemonade, mountain blast Powerade, Sprite, Coke, and peak iced tea. Parking is a bit tight in front of the store because it is right next to free birds world burrito, but there is plenty of other parking in the shopping center. All in all, I like this place and will continue to come when I have a craving for middle eastern food and garlic sauce.

Quality of food has always been consistently great, however it is disappointing to see less than mediocre employees. I have been to Zankou numerous times, and just felt like my last experience at this particular location was not acceptable. Last night I came in to order dinner for my family, and the cashier made it seem like I was inconveniencing her when placing my order. She was not very welcoming, friendly, or attentive for that matter. All the things that customer service employees should have.

Pretty good spot staff is nice friendly. The seating isn’t that good so I normally get my food to go I get the falafel sandwich it is great. Overall a great spot in Granada Hills plaza, I will definitely be back!

Food is great, prices are good. Don’t come here during lunch hour. It gets packed and the kabob plates take about 20 minutes. Some customers are mean.

Not the best, nor the worst. The chicken was OK. Bit dry, but not terrible. The garlic sauce was gross. Their hummus n pita bread were yummers, tho. The people working there seemed apathetic to our needs n seemed annoyed at my indecisive ass cousin. I mean I don’t blame em, I get annoyed with him too, but come on, he’s about to drop some coin in ur establishment. At least smile a little. Speaking of smiles, I should probably go brush my teeth n bathe in mouth wash cause like I said, that garlic sauce was gross!

LOUSYSERVICE! HORRIBLESHISHKEBAB! I’ve been to other Zankou outlets and has never complained, but this outlet takes the cake for non existent customer service and inedible shish kebab. I ordered a whole chicken and a shish kebab meal today, to go. I was not informed that it would take. 30 minutes to prepare the entire order, but iI endured. When I reached home, I found out to my horror and chagrin that the shish kebab meal was comprised of 6 burnt, charred, and inedible pieces of meat and 3 pieces of what appeared to be leftover meat from another shish kebab meal! Horrible! I called the place to air my grievance and to tell them to improve their quality of food and service, and reprimand the staffmember who prepared the shish kebab meal package as he or she knowingly passed inedible food to a customer. Stay away from this place!!!

I have no clue why this Zankou location has less then average reviews. The chicken tarna wraps are bomb. Garclic sauce is great as always. And this location has chicken wings that are literally the best wings I’ve ever had. They grill them fresh so they take like 20 minutes to make but I order my wrap with wings and ask them to give me the wrap first so when I’m done eating that my wings are ready. The wings don’t have sauce on them — just some great spices and a great char on them. You can defs tell that they were made fress. Soooo good. I spread a little garlic sauce on the wings even though they don’t need it — I just love the sauce!

I have been to several Zankous and this location was by far the worst. Working customer service for 10+ years, there’s a certain level of professionalism as well as just being a decent kind human and a couple of their cashier employees definitely do not possess those qualities. First walking into the facility, there was no greeting, no sense of welcoming. Instead, we received a condescending demand of «I need you to step to this side if you’re gonna order» Fine — it’s the setup of the rope dividers and the position of the registers. We placed our order and paid as politely as we can. As we waited patiently for our food, we observed how this blonde treated other customers. Most with a voice of disdain while only a few customers(who were single young male patrons) with a pleasant tone and a helpful hand. The only employee we saw who was going above and beyond was the cook. He was hustling his way in and out of the 3 females who were only talking and preparing empty bags. As more customers were entering and were being helped, your female employees were getting more and more annoyed, grabbing platters out of customer’s hands. I understand the stresses of facetoface labor but these females especially the blonde broad shouldn’t work in an environment that involves being nice and kind to customers.

Had my first visit to Zankou recently for dinner. It seems to be a pretty popping place, people waiting in line is usually a good sign that the food is good. Not to long waiting, when my turn came I asked a few things. Interestingly on their menu board there is an asterik for their chicken wing appetizer,(*) «may take up to 10 minutes to prepare.» I ask if it’s really 10 min during their dinner rush, the cashier said it’s going to take 15 minutes. So I passed on it. Next I wanted to order the beef kebab plate and was told it would be a 20 min wait. I was shocked to hear that, kind of unpreppared for a Friday night dinner rush. Then again, it was my first time and I’m not sure what is accepted service speed. Settled with a simple falafel wrap, it was ok. It wasn’t my first choice and it was nothing spectacular.

The garlic sauce is to die for! I love to save it and mix it with the chicken, shred it and add it to the ready made salads! The chicken here is sometimes on the dry side, but when they get it right it is soooo good! It makes me sad to see that it comes with only a couple of pita breads, BUT I always have some in the fridge so no problem! The customer service here is right and ample parking spaces makes this my go to Zankou!

I came here with my aunt today for lunch. The tri-tip shawerma was perfect in size for me. I ate it in one sitting. It wasn’t tooo salty, & the flavors were there. No evil leafy veggies lurking in the wrap. The pickled turnips were a bit tooo acidic for my taste. Not tooo bad for service & food. Not only that this place doesn’t use butter in any of the food. Very very Kat compatible.

I fear Rotisserie chicken because it always look dry to me. My first time at Zankou Chicken(on Santa Monica Blvd) I ordered the wrong thing. It was a wrap and it was flavorless and dry. Thank god for the tomato in there to make it juicy. I sort of tasted the garlic sauce but I guess the place was being stingy about it. But my boyfriend wanted to take me to change my mind. We went to a different location. We ordered the chicken tarna plate. When we received our plate my boyfriend ripped the pita bread in half and he stuffed the bread with garlic sauce(which is bomb by the way), hummus, tahini, and then the meat into it. It tasted amazing!!! The restaurant was small and the workers looks unfriendly the whole time we were there. Parking is easy access.

I have to say this is one of the worse Zankou locations. Service was not as great, the food took forever and was dry and flavorless. The guys had shawarma, we had chicken and none of it was any good. The garlic spread barely helped, nothing tasted very fresh at all. Usually Zankou is a bit better, not coming back here.

Ahrr!!! Why must this location suck??? I wish the owner put more effort into fixing the quality of food. The only good thing is the location and delivery service. Other den that the food sucks! I cant believe people actually come eat here. My husband always complains and tastes the difference when i pick up from this location. Whenever i pick up from the burbank location he never makes a fuss. Our usual is the chicken tarna plate. Sucks!

My first time at this location and I had the Tri-Tip Shawarma(I think that’s how you spell it lol) wrap. The pita bread was over-heated and broke apart as it was rolled so it was hard to keep all the meat and tomatoes inside. The meat was super dry and definitely not worth the price. My order came out quickly, so I assume the meat was sitting around since the place was pretty empty. This location was so disappointing… I guess I’ll just stick to the other locations as they are much better.

It used to be a good place, unfortunately not anymore. Chicken kabob was so overcooked but the manager«did not see a problem»

This used to be one of my favorite spots for quick nutritious dinner. Not anymore. Came today and ordered $ 11.99 chicken kebab plate, which also requires 15 min wait time. After 15 min I got a plate of burnt meat, overcooked rice and yellow lettuce. I tried to take the food back and exchange for chicken tarna(which is cheaper but didn’t want to wait another 15 min). The response from the cashier was«I don’t see a problem here». I asked for the girls name, but she would not tell and no name tag… I attached the pic so you can judge for yourself.
