I had high expectation for this place. I order for take out, yet everything was ok level. I probably will not go back there anymore. I am sorry… :(

My ultimate favorite Thai dish is the Tom Yum Soup and this spot HASBOMBTOMYUMSOUP! I also ordered the Spicy Basil with Pork, I wasn’t a fan though. Thai Tea was yummy. I would come back here to try other things and to order the Tom Yum again of course! :)

Life is all good again after some Sweet Basil Thai Bistro take-out. Quick and friendly service, good prices, and tasty options. Good to have in the G. Hills neighborhood. Will order again.

Best Thai food and best prices. My favorite on the menu is egg friend rice. It is beyond yummy and has so much taste! Beef pad see eww is also my favorite Chicken pad Thai I cannot complain. Perfect to dine in — the music is very up to date and the customer service is great. The food comes out quickly but very fresh!

Sweet Basil Thai is OK. I have never had a hit here. But the food is something that I can bare if that make sense. I’ve had the orange chicken. The flavor is decent, but the batter was soaked in sauce and the chicken was not crispy at all. The Thai Tea is missing something, either more tea or more sugar or more half and half, I cannot figure it out but i just know it doesn’t taste quite right. Today I had the Chicken Pad Thai lunch special. it was tasty but did not feel fresh. No fresh beansprouts on top, no lime, no peanuts on the side. My regular order is usually the teriyaki chicken, because i liked grilled chicken. They put a lot of sauce and sometimes it gets too messy while eating if you are not careful. The wontons that come with the lunch special need more meat, The eggrolls are decent as the sweet n’ sour sauce is what makes it the appetizer really. The parking sucks and is very limited. Overall, i only eat here when I have to because i lose in the office majority vote. Not one of my favorites but tolerable.

I’m new to Thai food. Prior to trying this place I had pad Thai at another place for the first time and it was just ok. Walking in, I decided to try pad Thai once again because 1. I’ve never eaten at Sweet Basil and 2. it’s the only Thai dish I’ve tried. I ordered a spicy pad Thai with a Thai tea. I expected my order to be just okay but man I was wrong. It was so good. It was full of flavor, every bite was scrumptious. I wanted another order of pad Thai after I finished. I will definitely be coming here more often!

My boyfriend and I love Lum Ka Naad and from time to time we visit Rincome because of their coupons. We decided to try a new Thai place today and sweet basil was it! Down the street from home. Service: was quickly greeted but after ordering wasn’t so tentative. There was only one other table in the restaurant than us. Never checked up on us but did refill water once. Food: Green Curry was not bad, but not the best I’ve had and their portion was smaller than most for the price we paid. Pad ka praw was pretty good! The flavor profile was not what we expected but nonetheless we enjoyed it. We’ll have to give this place another try some time!

This place slays my soul. Try the yellow curry. Oh and their tum yum cures colds, hangovers, period cramps and hangovers. Best soup ever.(Yes I said hangovers twice)

I had dinner at Sweet Basil Thai for the first time yesterday. The food was delicious! I had a spicy cashew noodle dish that was excellent. It had just the right amount of spice and crunch. The staff was attentive and the restaurant was clean. The only negative is the parking lot is small and crowded. I will definitely by back.

I’ve been to this great establishment a few times and there’s something about the food that makes me come back for more. My first visit here was with my friends, the waitress was able to make recommendation about what to order since it’s our first time. My friends and I really enjoyed the pad Thai and pad see ew. In my most current visit, I wanted to try new entrée from the menu so I got the crispy chicken. Sure enough it was delicious and it was enjoyed by my whole family. I would also recommend getting the yellow curry and drenching the rice with it. Overall my experience at sweet basil got me coming back for more.

Over priced, food. Chicken Satay was terrible, dry no flavor and fatty. Bad experience, will not be coming back.

The worst Thai food I have ever eaten. The only decent thing in the entire meal was the solitary fried wonton that came with the lunch special as a token decoration. I ordered the spicy chicken with bamboo shoots. The chicken was over cooked, the bamboo shoots too fibrous, the sauce lacked flavor and salt, and the rice was over cooked. Awful & inedible meal. I will never return to this dump again.

Listen, I’ve worked or lived in this area for 9 years. I’ve tried plenty of the Thai restaurants around and you simply won’t find better than here. Orders are fresh and flavorful, service is simple, and prices are excellent. The orange chicken is arguably one of the best you’ll find in any cuisine that claims it as a dish. It’s a local business so consider supporting before going to crappy chain restaurants.

Good Thai food in Granada Hills. The pad see ew was good. Prices are reasonable. Parking is available in the corner plaza where the restaurant is located, but shouldn’t be too big of an issue. Oh and their tom yum seafood soup is very tasty, and spiciness is seasoned according to your preference.

The food is amazing. Try spicy crispy chicken. Yes, you will miss on customer service if it’s busy and will take some time for the food. But this is fresh to order food. Perfection takes time.

Great place to eat!!! Amazing food that taste is phenomenal!!! I come back wanting more from here. Service is ok but the food makes up for it. If you want amazing service go pay for it somewhere else. If you speak up wanting something they are attentive.

I ordered the first time and I was satisfied with the food. I will order again for sure! Not easy to find nice Thai food. Not easy to find especially nice fried Tofu. I ordered Green Curry with Tofu and I liked it. Thai food is supposed to be a healthier option but you find most restaurants they just put lots of sugar to make it yummy and you end up with a big belly and you wonder why. This place is a small joint and I shall order again for sure. I will see then if I should make it my #1 Thai Food. Flat belly is a priority for me.

It’s a perfectly decent«greasy spoon”-type Thai restaurant. 3.5 stars. Parking: obviously tight during peak hours, especially because it shares a lot with 7-eleven, Subway, a MetroPCS phone store, «massage spa», and a pizza place. With two additional spaces in the process of remodeling for new tenants, it’s gonna get worse. Environment: The décor is fairly plain/bare. Also, when you enter, there is the light chemical scent of flooring adhesive that usually accompanies renovation. It’s not bad, though, and the tables are serviceable. The music was enjoyable — some type of satellite radio or custom mp3/itunes mix of rock, pop, and alt. Food: it was hot, plentiful, and hit the spot. The spiciness was as requested(medium). The noodles were pretty greasy, and this is not the Thai food you’ll get in west LA. Service: quick and unobtrusive. Price: cheap! About $ 7.50(no drink), so I threw down a $ 10.
