Top notch service from Dr. Melnick and the wonderful gals at the front desk as well as the opticians. I’ve been going there for years and would NEVER even consider going anywhere else. I highly recommend them.

My entire family have been patients of Granada Hills Optometry for over 20 years. The doctors and staff are terrific and the customer service is excellent.

It took 20 minutes to be greeted and 10 more to find out my insurance was not accepted here. The staff was not very attentive to customers walking in. Or maybe just maybe i was not worthy of customer service. The frame selection was not that impressive. I came in expecting more having read the Unilocal reviews. I live in granada and would have loved to have an optometrist close to where I live.

5 star service with a super FRIENDLY staff and fast efficient service. The girl who fits your lenses is hilarious and makes you feel right at HOME!!! I wouldn’t go anywhere else…

I am always able to get an appointment when i want. The office runs on time and there is no hard sale when it comes to purchasing glasses. Friendly and easygoing staff

My family has been going to Granada Hills Optometry Center for the past twenty years. WE have always been well served by the doctors as well as the staff. I used to see Dr. Judy for al these years. Unfortunately she is no longer with the center, and recently I saw Dr. Melnik for the first time. I was very satisfied with my eye exam and professionalism of Dr. Melnik. My son has been seeing Dr. Melnik for the last few years. He also has excellent experience with Dr. Melnik.

I am never disappointed when I go for my eye exam and glasses at GHOC. The staff is very friendly and professional. The office is clean and the equipment is clean. They have a ton of frames to choose from and the very best part is having Tracey pick out frames for you. I always have Tracey choose my frames. She is the BEST!!! I have never been disappointed in any frames she has chosen for me. She offers her suggestions and allows you plenty of time to try them all on as many times as you would like. You never feel pressure to hurry with your decision. I highly recommend GHOC and if you do need glasses your best bet is to let Tracey pick out frames for you! She is a superstar!!!

Love this place. Been coming here for 4 years now. Never a bad experience. Dr. Melnik is wonderful! So is Dr. Ichiuji! They take their time, explain what they’re doing and why. Joke around with you, laugh and have a good time. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful.

First off Dr. Melnik was nice and very professional. I am satisfied with the way he treated me. He messed up my prescription the first time bad, but took the time to see it was corrected.
However, the lady you must deal with when finally ordering contacts is an awful person. I have very bad eyes and I’m dependent on my contacts and glasses. I went in based on their Unilocal reviews and since they accept my insurance. Payed my $ 70 for my eye exam and my insurance covers the rest.
After 3 visits and a month of trying on contacts and waiting for my final prescription. I sat down with the lady to discuss costs. She told me for a year of contacts it would cost me $ 650. I used to go to a very reputable optometrist who only took cash and i never payed more than $ 450 for a complete eye exam and a one year supply of contacts. They want to charge me $ 300 more and that does not include what my insurance pays them.
I know they need to make money too, but I cannot believe this type of deception is going on. They put me between a rock and a hard place. They make you feel like you have no option but too pay, especially after visiting them 3 times for the fitting. I went through this whole process and then they price gouged me. I told the lady i could not afford that right now and she looked at me like she doesn’t care. I asked if i could pay cash and she said she would ask the owner and call me back. She never called me back.
I am in desperate need of contacts. My current pair is expired and I am constantly getting headaches. I don’t know how these people sleep at night, putting people through this.
I finally called vision direct and they could dispense 9 months of contacts for ~75 $ or a year and a half for ~$ 200. I will literally pay less quarter of the price by paying cash online.
The unfortunate thing is now i need to wait another month for my prescription to be filled.

Dr. Melnik and staff were professional and courteous. I got the appointment time I wanted, received help in verifying my insurance, and was seen almost immediately, less than a 10 minute wait. Dr. Melnik was very thorough in his exam and diagnosis of my vision needs. I found the eyeglass frames I wanted – they have a nice selection in all price ranges. I will definitely return next year!

I recently was looking for a new eye Dr. And I came across GHOC I walked in inquiring in making an appointment and I was greeted with a smile and helped right away. They gave me all the forms needed so I can have them ready on the day of my visit.
On my visit I was again greeted with a smile. The staff is very friendly. I maybe waited 10 min past my appointment time which in my opinion is no way at all (my old office was over a 30min wait).
I suffered a leg injury and the entire staff was very understanding and accommodating. Dr. Melnik made sure I was comfortable thru out my visit.
When it came time to select my glasses, I wasn’t expecting to do that there due to my injury, but Tracey who assisted me was so friendly and accommodating I didn’t even feel the time nor did I have to get up to make selections. She brought a ton of options for me until I found the perfect pair.
I could go on and on but I’ll make it short. Overall this is the kind of place that I would recommend without hesitation. The office is convenient, clean and very friendly. I highly recommend you check them out!

Not happy. This is my second time there. Staff is ok but one girl needs to smile more. The doctor rushed me out without detailed instructions. you can tell when someone doesn’t care. Not going back

This place is awesome. The doctor who owns this place is so super friendly and I found out I had been wearing the wrong prescription for years. My prescription had been too strong!
I have never had such thorough testing done here. It left me confident that I had the right strength now for my contacts.
This will be my new go-​to.

This is the second time I’ve been here and walked away empty handed. The staff is very friendly which is something I must mention…
The first time I was looking for regular glasses… this store has a very limited selection of glasses to choose from. They are are basically the same style which makes it difficult when looking for a specific style. So that was the first time I left empty handed…
The next time (after going elsewhere for glasses) I came in because I needed contacts since my eyes are sensitive to the sun and I want to wear my sunglasses again… apparently it’s a liability for them to use another optometrist’s prescription (news to me). They said that would be the case where ever I go…
Well it’s not the case. The next store I went to not only did I buy contacts but I also bought a pair of glasses AND prescription sunglasses. So the $ 1,000 sale this store lost another one relieved. Economics baby!

I went in with my grandma and Dr Judy was great lots of patience girls at the front were also very nice place was fresh and clean and they sent us home with a picture of her eyes that looked like boobies lol

I have been going to Granada Hills Optometry center for many years. I really recommend them for your eye care. They are very patient and provide great customer service. The office staff and doctors are very friendly. They always take the time to make sure your eye exam is done very well.
