The high dollar vehicles should have been my first clue, but I had a water pipe leak in my front yard. Bill and crew did a fine job detecting the leak and using their no-​digging mole to bang in a new pipe. During the work though, I developed, or discovered a leak through the water service in the foundation into the house. Did the work on the pipe crack the old grout? Who knows. I was VERY good to Bill, not at all breaking his balls about the leak. I was willing to consider it another job, and just wanted the help to get a good seal. One of his crew threw some wet seal cement around it and wanted to back fill. Luckily, I said, «Nope — let me leak test it.» Next day, sure enough, more water. I requested that they come in and do some asphaltic repair, and a little more digging to get it right — again — billing it out as a separate job. But I couldn’t get a response. They were NOT interested. So, they’re great at coming in and banging-​in a pipe for $ 2,000 in a couple of hours and moving onto the next job. Not so much about getting your situation right — even if your’re a good guy. Turn ‘em and burn ‘em. Be careful here.
