Unfortunately the service call and follow up I received from Faubion was beyond disappointing. I scheduled an annual furnace service appointment to check my boiler and to ensure all was working properly prior to winter. The serviceman they sent was more interested in speaking with my girlfriend rather than discussing the condition of my boiler. After he finished I asked him why there was water around one of my pipes. I told him I hadn’t noticed it earlier. He told me it was fine and it was only«seepage.» I also asked him to look at a Empire wall heater I had and he told me that he had no idea how to repair it and recommended I buy a new one. A few days later when the temperatures began to drop I noticed my thermostat wasn’t responding. What I discovered in the basement was a flooded mess. Evidently the«seepage» had extinguished the pilot on my boiler and soaked the compartment. I immediately contacted Faubion and asked them to send somebody. During the call I asked them what had caused the problem and they«scratched their heads» and said they had no idea. However, I did notice the plumber they had sent out had stopped the«seepage.» After repairing and starting my boiler again I asked them for a quote to also repair my wall heater in the other building. Again, they suggested I buy a new one and have it installed for approximately $ 2,000. I told them I would think about it. I contacted another company and they discovered my gas inlet was clogged by a spider web and they charged me only for the service call which saved me almost $ 2,000. I recommend another company.
