Ashamed to have these crooks in our town. Didn’t solve the problem, charged me for the work, and told me an $ 800 high pressure water flush was the only resolution. I called another plumber, and they resolved the issue in 10 minutes, as Roto-Rooter had somehow missed a clog, six inches from the drain??? When I delivered this feedback to the manager, his only interest was to keep the money in his pocket. No remorse, disregard for customer service, and obviously don’t know much when it comes to plumbing.

Vinny came out and gave me a free estimate. Tried to sell me an expensive service(but couldn’t give me a quote on that), then said maybe I need a new garbage disposal. Quoted $ 542 for a specific unit, installed. I’ve talked with two other companies today and the same unit would cost $ 300 — $ 350, installed by them. The second plumber does not think the garbage disposal needs replacing. I’m not sure if I got a high quote because I’m a woman, or if they treat every potential customer this way. Wish I’d checked Unilocal before I called them.

My pregnant wife called to see if they could fix a duravit urinal. The girl who answered the call, Jessica, said a tech would come out for free to see if they could fix it. The plumber came out looked at the urinal for a second said he couldn’t fix it and that would be $ 100. When my wife said it was supposed to be a free diagnosis the plumber said«They just say that at the call center to get business. It happens a lot but its still $ 100.» Finally after arguing for a while the plumber said he would take $ 40. Who argues with a pregnant woman especially when they are aware that their call center tells people lies. I will be contacting the better business bureau after this to report them.

I have nothing but great things about this company. Ron did a great job with a smile on his face. It was a true pleasure having then come resolve my clogged main line. I highly suggest you give them a call. Very respectful, professional and knowledgeable. Sincerely, one happy pooping(again) customer.

Called Roto Rooter before I read the negative reviews so was very concerned and on high alert for a rip off. Imagine my surprise when I received prompt and reasonably priced service. Had a main line clog in my very old house and did need to install a clean out — which made complete sense. Vincente was very polite and explained everything to me every step of the way. Thank you, Vincente.

My wife and I were in town staying with my 83 year old mother-in-law when her kitchen and bathroom sinks began backing up whenever the washer was in use. While my wife and I were gone shopping, my mother-in-law had called Roto-Rooter. When we came home, there they were, atop her roof, performing a «hydro scrub [of the] main to clean out and maintain proper flow and maintenance». The total bill came to $ 1,800. They did not fix the problem. The next day we ran the washer and the kitchen and bathroom sinks began backing up. So we called Roto-Rooter, again, since they had given a 2 year warranty. They showed up, again, while my wife and I were away from the house. Mr Vicente Oropeza, Branch Manager, informed my mother-in-law that she did not understand the problem, and that they«cannot discuss major jobs» with her because she is over the age of 65. They repeatedly told her she did«not understand». In this instance, they did diagnose the problem, which is «old cast iron pipes in very poor shape, due to corrosion and rust build-up.» The total cost for this second visit was $ 1,340. They performed this service at «no cost», fortunately, When my wife and I returned home, and my mother-in-law described the way she was talked down to and repeatedly told how old she was and that she didn’t understand anything, I decided to call Vicente Oropeza and ask him to refund the difference between the two jobs. My reasoning was that the first job for $ 1,800 did not diagnose the problem, but that the second job for $ 1,340 did. I argued that what they should have done first was diagnose the problem, rather than jump right to the big money making job for $ 1,800, which didn’t fix anything. Vicente Oropeza said, «that isn’t going to happen. You obviously don’t understand. I’ve told you 5 times.» Then he hung up.

I have reported your driver to the CHP, and they have contacted me that they have written your company a warning letter. Your driver tried to kill me as I drove in Santa Barbara. It’s clear your company is very bad at both plumbing and at driving. Consider a different line of work and get off the road. The CHP is looking for you now.

Another rip off. The technician came and was polite and gave me a great estimate. When it came to installing the product, they did not show up or even call. I had called the day before to confirm and identify what toilets I wanted installed, little did I know they do not stock ANYTHING, and it wasn’t until the day of installation when no one showed up that I came to know this. I rescheduled making it clear the product that I wanted and on the day of installation, again no one showed up until I called dispatch. They then sent out a technician without the toilets so no work done then either. Two of my vacation days gone. Next stop is the Better Business Bureau.

Absolute rip off! charged $ 995 to put in a clean out and then have them tell me my sewer line collapsed and that there is nothing they can do but replace the line for and additional $ 5700. I got quotes for the job from many other companies. Went with another guy for 4500 and who quoted me in hind site 460 for the clean out installation. The rotorooter branch owner Tod said if i got him a quote for less he would give me back some money. 2 phone calls and multiple emails later with no response from him. Real honest business.
