Midtown Chimney Sweeps of Golden

If you find your time valuable, don’t waste your time with this company.
At first, my experience with this Midtown Chimney Sweeps Was great. They returned my call promptly from the office, and a couple of weeks later we had Jason come out to give us a second opinion for work we needed. He was nice and honest.
However, the reason for which I will never call this company again is the lack of communication from the tech who came out, Jason. He assured me he would be out at my house to take a measurement one week and come Friday, I still hadnt heard a single thing. I tried his cell, left messages with his office, and even had his colleague pass my name onto him. I called the office to make a complaint about him and turns out he owns the company so I don’t expect any of this to ever change.
Communication is the most important quality I look for in a business and it is completely disrespectful to be so negligent to customers. Not to mention, it is rude to commit to a service and not take a mere 2 minutes to call and let the customer know plans may have changed. Complete waste of my time.

After waiting three weeks for a chimney sweep, the technician (Jason) called me today and told me he wanted to reschedule because there «was snow on my roof». Well, no, there’s no snow on my roof, please don’t reschedule!
Then he told me that he wanted to come out earlier in the day since he was running ahead of schedule. Well, no, that’s not gonna work either — I am employed, and like most employed people, I can’t just duck out of the office a few hours early. Well, I could — for my mother, brother, or wife. Not for the convenience of someone I’m paying to do a job at a certain time.
He then told me «maybe I shouldn’t come out at all if you’re gonna give me that attitude.» Erm, attitude? I’m never talked to you before, brother, and all I’m asking you to do is to arrive at my house at time previously agreed to. He let out a sigh worthy of Paul Rudd in Wet Hot American Summer (I’d literally write it out as «uggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh») and said he’d be there, then hung up on me.
Needless to say, I don’t want someone who’s that big of an ass around my wife — who knows what he’d do if just talking to a customer for the first time set him off like that? Appointment cancelled.
Note to Unilocalers: I’d take a very close look at the positive reviews this company has, and which seem to be coming from legitimate accounts. Just do some research there.

Good guys, did a thorough and professional job. Even moved a blower around for me while we’re waiting on a part.

They did a great job in servicing the chimney for the pellet stove in my mother-​in-​laws apartment. They had to re-​build sections of it to help the pellet stove work properly. The only issue we had was the communication on re-​scheduling service calls. This is minor but is the reason for the four stars. We will definitely use them again.

Jason did a fantastic and thorough job cleaning our chimney and dryer duct. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe to use by repairing some of our dryer duct. He was very personable and we won’t hesitate to give Midtown a call again.

Great Service! Easy and fast scheduling! It was a great experience from start to finish. Technicians were knowledgable and friendly. They were able to answer any questions I had and they were very professional. I would highly recommend.

I’ve used these guys twice and had an excellent experience both time. Scheduling is easy and communication with the company is very professional. They were very conscientious about putting down drop cloths and keeping everything clean. And they went way above and beyond providing excellent service.
I had bought a remote for our propane fireplace a year before and never installed it for myself. When Midtown installed it and it didn’t work right away, they personally took it back the place from whom I’d made the purchase to troubleshoot before returning to complete the installation. And spent a ton of extra time on the return trip because they discovered a gasket on that fireplace needed to be replaced and they did it right then and there.
I can’t say enough good things about these guys!

In previous years Byron did an excellent job at a very good price. Very happy with Midtown Sweeps. This year, Tikar and Garett came out and took care of replacing the dryer vent under the house (a difficult task). These guys were great. They are very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Great price for the work they did.
I plan on having them take care of my pellet stove every year. Thanks guys!
