Easy to book reservation over the phone. Outstanding customer service. Very friendly hostess & server Brian. Food was excellent! Perfectly cooked & flavored. We’re so happy we ate dinner here last night. Fine dining in Gold Beach. Will definitely return!

Probably the best 3 course meal I have ever had on the USA in 7 years of travelling … You do not expect such quality in a small coastal town an tbat even out of season … Be sure to tip the Chef and Kitchen staff as I did as they prepare the great food ! If you stay local as we did they offer 15% discount on the food ! AWESOME !

Had dinner here 2 nights in a row while staying in Gold Beach at Ireland’s Rustic Lodge. The food was fabulous and reasonably priced. Excellent service too… I’m a fan!

Was unsure of the eatery, and we were extremely pleased and glad we took a chance after reading the reviews. The food and service was amazing. I ordered the tomato salad and prime rib sandwich, my husband ordered the salmon and our sons ordered the clam chowder and it was all beyond excellent. Dreamy food indeed!

Spinners, what happened? Christmas Eve dinner was pretty bad, first off the service was terrible it took an hour to get our salads. Then they were out of prime rib at this was at 5.30! Steak was tough, my husbands lamb was tough and my scallops were so salty, for the price I expected good food.

Nice place. Oysters on the half shell a bit pricey for the size, but overall nice dinning experience.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and this restaurant was recommended to us by the lodge we stayed at. My husband said it was one of the best meals he ever had. He had the fisherman’s platter. When we told the waitress we were newly weds she was so kind and very attentive to us. The surroundings were quiet and I really enjoyed the variety of music. We were given a complimentary dessert. It was a lovely dining experience and the service was excellent.

This restaurant was okay! The food was good, but I would say that it is somewhat overpriced. The clam chowder was really great and meaty! Service was really great.

Slow. Overpriced. Bad management. Had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. I ordered the crab cake…1 for over $ 20. After suffering through finding multiple pieces of shell in my crab cake I finally told the waiter. I informed him that I and another person in our party had shells in our crab cake. He replied, «a lot?» My response was, «enough that I’m telling you about it.» After a bit of nudging he finally went to tell someone… Not sure who. He then came back to tell me «that’s the way crab cakes are, we do our best to get the shells out.» When I informed him that I’ve had many crab cakes and never had a shell, he said«well, I’ve never actually had a crab cake.» I politely asked for the manager. Once the manager finally came I explained the situation.(Showed him the pile of shell.) He then proceeded to blame his supplier. He took no responsibility for my shell incrusted dinner. Never offered a replacement meal. Gave no discount. I’m giving it 2 stars because he did finally offer a dessert(thanks, but no thanks). After speaking to an older woman up front(perhaps the owner?) we did get a discount. It didn’t cover both ruined meals, but it was better than nothing. She was also very polite.

Visited August 3, 2015 Our first night at Gold Beach we decided a quiet dinner at Spinner’s — short for Spinner’s Seafood Steak & Chophouse and we were definitely, pleasantly pleased! We arrived to a full-house but only waited about 15 minutes for a table with a extraordinary view of the ocean and perfectly timed for some wonderful photos of an amazing sunset! Service was friendly and prompt even though there were numerous large groups present. Food was delicious, hot(again, very busy), and plentiful where we had leftovers for breakfast the next day. My wife had the Pasta Campagnola while I ordered the Whiskey Steak and our daughter had the child’s fish and chips. Each of us enjoyed our meal very much and shared a bite around the table, each agreeing the others choice was just as delicious as ours! Basically if you are in the region, you should really try Spinner’s!!! We will return!

In all fairness, we were greeted with a big disclaimer from our server. We were told from the beginning that things were coming out slow from the kitchen. So it wasn’t the hour ticket time that really ruined the experience for us. I don’t want to sit here and rant, but maybe a little rant could be beneficial for the manager of they read these things? Here are just some of the highlights: First, nowhere on the menu does it say you have only bottled beer. So when we saw the price point and then received bottles, we were disappointed. Second, I understand that sometimes nights just go bad. But it was really hard to enjoy our wait time together when the tables around us were all so dissatisfied. There was no manager around. No one was even attempting to salvage anything. Next, when our food finally arrived, it was wrong. There weren’t a lot of options available on the menu(most of the menu was 86ed) so we ordered what we thought would be a safe bet. The medium rare buffalo burger was clearly cooked well. When our server checked in, we told her it was wrong but didn’t want to wait another hour so we would eat it. Our server informed us she would let the kitchen know ‘they were ass holes’ messing up the order. We weren’t looking for a free meal, but we spent $ 60 on 2 bottled beers and food that was wrong and no one seemed bothered that we weren’t happy. Next time we will do the dive bar across the street. I’ll take microwave food over that experience again.

We stopped here for dinner on our way up the coast from California. Talk about a waste of time and money. We would’ve been better off just going through a drive thru somewhere, seriously. The way the dishes are described on the menu sound great but are nowhere near what you actually get and for the prices they charge it’s even more disappointing. I ordered a buffalo burger cooked medium, what I got was a flavorless burger barely cooked on the inside and I mean it was dang near raw. I prefer my beef cooked rare to medium rare but this was too rare even for me. Our waitress(who by the way, seemed kind of in her own world the whole time) said they would make me a new burger. We were trying to get back on the road so I told the waitress to just make it to go so she did. I didn’t discover til the next day that all they did was throw the patty that I had already taken a bite out of and slapped it back on the grill then put it on a new bun. Interesting. My advice is, don’t stop here! And for you locals or friends of the owner who are giving this place good ratings need to stop it cause they are in desperate need of change and you falsely bumping them up isn’t doing them any favors.

WOW, YUMAND Please sir, may I have some more!!! Great food, staff is a fun bunch. Set up a reserved table in the bar with a clear shot of the TV for a Warriors game, super accommodating(if they can). Very delicious food, would go again if in the area. Great way to enjoy our 24th anniversary and mini vacation.

Dinner was amazingly disappointing here. The prices here are pretty pricey, so one expects higher quality. My wife had the fish and chips. iOS not know if the fish is made in house, but it was oily and overlooked, and the batter lacked any flavor at all. I swear her fries were from a bag. I had shrimp scampi. The shrimp was decent, but the sauce could use some oomph. The vegetables looked and tasted like frozen vegetables. We both had a martini. They were awful. Well, my wife said hers was lackluster. I had a pepper martini. I guess. It tasted like plain vodka with some olives in it. The waitress asked how it was. I said it was, «okay.» “Just okay?” «Yeah, it’s not great.» «Oh, sorry to hear that.» … I’m not one to ever send anything back, but the drink was awful. So I suffered through it. Drink service was slow. Good was okay. Staff was nice. Kids had Mac n cheese. It was Kraft. Perfect for kids. No complaints from them. Seriously. Very disappointed for the cost of the food. We won’t go back. Unfortunately. I don’t like leaving negative reviews; but it’s worth sharing.

Spinners is excellent. There’s no other way to put it. It’s just great. I wish I could give this place 6 stars. We came here passing through Gold Beach on our way home for some salmon fishing on the Rogue and were pleased with every aspect of this eatery. All of our food was simply amazing. I had a filet of salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. Everything on that plate was deliciously seasoned, cooked to perfection, and enjoyed by me. Their salmon is straight out of the Rogue River – probably the freshest fish you can find in the whole country. I tried a bite of all other food at my table and it all was beautifully executed as well. Compliments to the chef! Not only was the food scrumptious, the drinks were as well. I had one of the best Arnold Palmers in my life; it was perfectly mixed and refreshing! To top it all off, the service was awesome. The hostesses were friendly, welcoming and hospitable. We were waited on by the owner, who is a very nice man, and all of the townsfolk know him as a great person running a great business. And that’s what Spinners is – a great restaurant with great service, great people, great food, and a great ambiance. Words can only explain so much; you have to try this place for yourself. tl;dr: COMEHERE!!! Individual Ratings: Food: 5⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Ambiance: 5⁄5 Overall Rating: 5⁄5(This is coming from a tough grader. Congrats Spinners!)

My husband and I have had amazing food and service every time we have visited Spinner’s, but the reason I am writing is because I work for an assisted living community in Bandon and one of the couples that live there told me they were going to Gold Beach for the wife’s birthday. I told them if they would like a wonderful dinner, consider Spinner’s… My residents found me first thing this morning to tell me what an amazing dinner and service they received and how the owner really made sure they got seated earlier that expected. Thank you for treating these wonderful people so well, they have been married 70 years and have been all over, but this is now one of their«special» places to go to spoil themselves.

Not sure how or why Spinner’s has such good ratings. We were seated right away, but it took our server about 15 minutes to acknowledge us, another 10 – 15 for our drinks to arrive — had to send one back. Dinner timing was paced well — but — the mushroom app was AWFUL, salad was ok, my steak was terrible, overpriced and not cooked properly. They were busy, but not crazy busy. It was truly one of my all time worst dining experiences ever. It was so bad, I just laughed. I refused to get upset about it. The atmosphere is dated and NOT charmingly dated. Next time we’ll try Anna’s or Barnacle.

Came here about 10 years ago after being told it is one of the best restaurants in Gold Beach. I remembered it being great and it still is. Plenty of seating and a great view of the Pacific ocean. Staff is extremely friendly and are on top of you in seconds if you need a refill or anything. Restaurant is very clean and really have no complaints. I got the shrimp scampi plate for dinner and wow these are huge shrimp… err prawns as they call them. It also came with the option of rice or potatoes and salad or soup. I got the garlic mashed potatoes and chowder soup which were very good. For dessert I got the ice cream sandwich which was homemade and amazing. Definitely worth getting dinner here.
