granted, most items are in great condition, but it’s a thrift store
yes, they give to charity
however it’s not cheap whatsoever
they charged us $ 20 extra because the last customer before us got a gift card
but after we figured it out in the pkg lot, they refunded cash

Definitely check out this place during their dollar days which only happens a few times a year. Even though I went at the end of the day during dollar day I still scored a few good things. They have a good furniture selection too.

Today was Dollar Day at Second Glance. Everything marked $ 10 or under was on sale for a dollar! My friend says that this happens 3 or 4 times a year. It was SO much fun.
I don’t think i’m projecting when i say that employees & customers are a very happy & friendly lot!
The items I purchased were all high quality name brands, for example I nabbed a beautiful Green Down Jacket from Land’s End, a perfect & flowey, purple w/​lace, Free People blouse, a pair of Nine West Wedge Sandles, barely worn, several varied hoodies, a brand new pair of Delia’s solid Black Jeans. The list goes on to include about 20 gorgeous items. I’m all set for Fall!

I have found wonderful stuff over the years. Two weeks ago, 3 pairs of brand new Dansko shoes in my size – never worn – $ 3 each. Joe’s Jeans (retail $ 158) for…$ 3. They always have a sale on something.
If you have a child or baby, come here and don’t neglect the bin (fill a bag for $ 2 or 25 cents each). I found an amazing assortment of like new cloth diapers, each of which would have cost me $ 20-​$ 25, and furnished my whole stash for $ 4. There is an angel woman at this store who seems to appear and show me all the great deals. I would not have found all those diapers without her! Oh, and I’ve gotten extremely high quality children’s and baby’s clothing here as well – all the $$$ names (Zutano, Petit Bateau, Under the Nile organic, Hanna Andersson, etc.)
I almost hate to write this review because I do not want the competition…

Second Glance is definitely the second hand shop of choice for the locals. A lot of my adult friends love it. For me, Second Glance is kind of hit or miss. You could find a pair of Express pants one day or a nice vase and then the next day find nothing but skimpy cheap shirts. It’s definitely a fun little place to poke around in if you enjoy finding diamonds in the rough. I’ve never had a miraculous find but my friend said he once found a two piece Armani suit that fit him perfectly even though he has very short arms. Worth a look if you’re into thrifting.
