This place is great. Frank is the man. I feel like I am at my hometown barber and I’m not even originally from Philly. I highly recommend trying the place out. Make sure you call in first. No walk ins, strictly by appointment.

If you’re looking for a great haircut for a great price while having a great time, Gentlemens Preference is the place to go to! Frank does a wonderful job cutting hair for all ages, men and women alike. Many customers have been getting haircuts by Frank for as long as 30 years! With the shop decked out in Phillies memorabilia, Frank’s love for sports is clear (and even clearer once you start talking about it!). Frank is a hardworking guy and that definitely shows in his haircuts and loyal customers! Call and make an appointment — you won’t regret it!

Let me tell you, Frank is quite possibly the best barber I’ve ever been to. He caters to your needs. I’m very particular about my hair and Frank never seemed to be taken back by it. He simply just asked what I wanted and promptly went about styling my hair. He’s the most consistent barber I’ve ever been to. The shop resembles the heart of Philadelphia. Sports memorabilia everywhere! (well… Only when the Phillies don’t suck) It truly is a man’s barbershop. He always has a good joke to tell you too… Ask him the one about the Cyclops! Haha! I wish there were more barbers like him. Frank, is a man of his craft. KEEP IT UP FRANK!
