When I tried Palms again, I made sure not to sit with Patty.(She recycles salsas and keeps giving them to other guests if the previous guests didn’t use them. I’ve seen her do this on 3 different occasions. Smh.) Anyways, my family and I sat with George. He is wonderful, kind, and clean!!! He made our lunch memorable and his personality was friendly and accommodating. Thanks George for re-storing our faith back into Palms. We will always sit with you now.

Every customer that came in while I was there, knew the owners by name. The petite filet dinner was delicious and very affordable.

Its not the best looking restaurant, they serve delicious cheap food and the servers(Patty, George and Helen) are wonderful and make you very comfortable so it makes up for the old furniture(they did replace some). a lot of locals are regulars here, we’ve been eating here since I was pregnant with my now almost 5 year old girl, my favorite will always be the honey fried chicken, and the open face chili burger, and they have daily specials that are really good for a very reasonable price. The place might look old and dirty but dont let it deceive you, never once did we have any food poisoning from any of the food we ate from Palms, and like I said the food are all so good

My fiancé and I came here a month ago and I have to say everytime I have came here the service is amazing! Food is also deeeeelicious! They have some good deals I believe up until 12 I want to say. U get eggs, choice of either sausage, ham or bacon and hash browns. Which I have to say really fills you up! She was really good on making sure we were enjoying our food. Checked on refills and brought me my extra hot chocolate. She was so sweet. We don’t always come here but I can say I’ve been here a handful of times and each time i leave feeling good and not too stuffed. It gets really busy on the weekends during brunch but I’ve never had to wait more than 5 min for a seat. Food is cooked fresh and as ordered. Definitely a place you want to come to if you’re looking for great service, cheap good deal and yummy breakfast !!! I don’t remember our waitresses name but she was blonde. Lol

My wife and I went to this restaurant this morning to have breakfast. I know the place is old but i am pretty sure when they opened at first water was there. We sat at the bar. The server that served us was touching dirty dishes, she touched her face, she touched the phone and wiped her hands on her dirty apron. Not once did she wash her hands. Yet she prepared our toast without wearing gloves or washing her hands. The manager as well after touching dirty money touched the bread. He then put his finger in his ear and touched the bread again. That is very unsanitary. We lost our appetite. We will not be returning to this place.

Love this place, been coming for years. Patty is the BEST! My boyfriend and I don’t eat here as often as we would like, but when we do Patty is always there and even remembers what we order. We always go for breakfast and usually get the early bird special. Awesome prices, and the food is good!

Just finished eating and it was delicious. Our server Sophia was attentive and very friendly. My boyfriend and I live close that we can walk here so we will be back. We recommend the country omelette.

I’ve driven by this place for years and we finally tried it and we were both very happy with the service and food. The prices and portions are very good. I like the older style building much like I remember as a kid and we will definitely return. I had fish and chips and my friend had chicken fried steak and both were very good. The barley soup and pea soup are delicious. I like the texture of the mashed potatoes and the gravy. We want to try the breakfast. The restroom was clean and so was the premises.

Traditional 50’s, 60’s and 70’s style café. Good menu and specials very very low prices. They only use margarine there is no butter in the place. Margarine is known to cause heart disease by clogging the arteries. Clogged arteries cause strokes and heart attacks. Eat here at your own risk! I would suggest that the owner buy butter and raise their prices appropriately and stop poisoning their customers. If you want this type of food but better quality go to Silver Spoon or Costa’s restaurants.

I have to admit I didn’t think this place would be as good as it is given the low prices, but it’s amazing. My mom and I go at least once every other week now. We can’t get enough of the good food, prices, and outstanding customer service!

Great food, great prices, great customer service, very old fashioned 1970s menu. Love this place. Try the Crown of Beef.

Still coming here and still finding the food and service great. A few new servers are really doing great. We like them all. Patty, Barbara, Sofia, and George, are you reading this? Even Morris the busboy is ‘on the ball’. Wife and myself and our daughter came here last Christmas morning. We just did not feel like cooking breakfast. The staff was all smiles and the customers all seemed happy. The place was packed. I can live with the crumby bathrooms if I am surrounded by good people.

Came here because my son’s grandfather was raving about the prices, so I decided to give it a try. Saw the B rating and figured it should still be decent and honestly I couldn’t cooked the same meal at home. True, the prices are great and they have decent hash browns but it was just a disappointing experience. Even though we were seated and ordered our drinks first, we still waited five minutes while our waitress took the order of a family that was arrived after we did. Had to get up and get coffee creamer myself because our server ignored us when we asked. My cheese omelette wasn’t appetizing at all and when I tried eating my toast, there was something already on there(didn’t even want ask what it was) which just took away my appetite all together. Definitely not returning.

I have been to this place at least 50 times over the last 15 years and I must like it if I keep coming back. If you want an average breakfast and coffee on the cheap then this is the spot. Many a morning after a late night was spent in the tattered booth at the Palms restaurant. The food is nothing special but you cannot beat the prices. It is the cheapest breakfast you will find. I have only been here for breakfast so I can’t speak to the lunch or dinner menu. Me and the wife love it and will most likely be back soon.

Food is good only $ 2.99. I’m not a morning person and I don’t really do breakfast so much but if i will I guess this would be a nice spot to come. The service it was good and the place looks pretty clean. About the food can’t really complaint it’s really cheap. So I got eggs and hot cakes for 2.99. The taste of it was pretty good I must say but hey how card can it be to make some good eggs and pancakes?

«There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and just south of a cemetery in the City of Glendora California. It is a restaurant which is called Palms Family Restaurant.» The first thing I want to say about this old style run down diner is that the prices here are very cheap. They have breakfasts for under 3 dollars, great lunch and dinner prices with just ok food. The service seems to be pretty friendly too. How do I know? I have been here for breakfast by myself once and for dinner with my family once. The first time was dinner with the family. Our first impression from the outside was that it did not look like a place we were going to enjoy. Very run down looking from the outside and once we walked into the place we saw it was the same on the inside. We all ordered dinner and had what I would say was an amusing experience watching all the regulars in this place with a great deal of the older population with their older outdated opinions on ethnic diversity. The dinner itself was just ok. It is your typical old style diner menu… kind of like Norms. The second time I went was on a whim when I wanted to give their cheap breakfast a try. I have to admit the breakfast was pretty descent for under 4 dollars. That was for 2 eggs, 2 bacon, hashbrown and toast. The bathrooms were kind of gross. Today my wife and I were looking for somewhere different to have breakfast together. While driving around trying to decide«like that never happens to you» we saw Palms Family Restaurant and decided to just go with it in an effort to remedy the dilemma of trying to make a decision. We pass the cemetery and pull into the driveway to the parking lot. As I pull behind the restaurant I see an old broken down motor home against a chain link fence. The parking lot looks like an old deserted ghost parking lot with old broken down cars. I decide to park a little away near the back. As I turn down a row there is another car coming my way driving right down the middle of the row. I stop. An older lady gives me a really dirty look as I let her pass me by. If you have ever seen The Fellowship of the Ring you will know what I am talking about. It was that scowl given to trouble making folk like Gandalf. Folk that respectable Hobbits do not welcome to The Shire. I park my car next to an old beat up sedan. In front of me is the spooky looking motor home. I ask my wife«Do you think there are any dead bodies in there?» As I get out and go to meet my wife around the other side of the car I notice that it looks like maybe someone is sleeping in the sedan I parked next to. I decide to move the car closer to the restaurant hoping not to disturb the occupants of the vehicle. As we walk I am reminded of a Stephen King Novel I read once. I look up in the sky half expecting to see a vortex in the space time continuum thinking maybe I still have time to escape. We walk by the couple that passed us in the parking lot trying to avoid eye contact. As we make our way to the front door we notice the B rating on the door. We could no longer ignore the feeling that something is just not right… it was just not meant to be. We turn and briskly walk back to our vehicle and escape in the nick of time.

Palms is a Glendora/San Dimas staple. The place as been around for a long time and while it’s not the classiest place, with the highest end cuisine. It has it where it counts, which is excellent service, good food prepared well, and amazing prices. Yes if you’re looking for salmon benedict with avocado, and caviar hollandaise, then you are in the WRONG restaurant. If however you want great french toast, eggs cooked exactly as you want, great biscuits and gravy, etc. Then you are most assuredly in the RIGHT place. We take folks here when ever we can and they haven’t failed to disappoint. The wait staff is friendly and remembers us even when we haven’t been in for over a month. If you are in the are, do yourself a favor and make sure you stop in and treat yourself to very good comfort food.
