The staff here is really off putting. I wanted to leave 5 minutes into getting here. Everybody yells at you to talk even when you’re face to face and they’re pretty rude. Very pushy people. We really didn’t want to buy anything here but the guy made us sit and give all our info and tried so hard to make a sale. Didn’t care about anything we had to say.

My family and I have been coming to see Dr Burt for over 9 years. All the ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful with any insurance questions you might have. Dr Burt is absolutely wonderful and very thorough. You will never be disappointed.

I thought I found a new optometrist since temporarily moving from Valencia to Glendora, but turns out; not. At first Manny was very nice and helpful then he turned on me. They talked me into buying Polarized lenses which I’ve never had before so I tried it… turns out I saw rainbows and it gave me a headache. They replaced my lenses with non polarized ones at no charge but refused to refund me for the initial polarized charge which I am unable to wear. Valencia Optometry would NEVER charge me for something I don’t want and cannot use. I’m sadly disappointed in this establishment. Manny told me it’s their policy to charge customers for something that they mistakenly bought and cannot refund them if it is unusable. If they had told me in the beginning that if I tried the polarized lenses and didn’t like it I wouldn’t get a refund, I would have never tried it! Be cautious of this establishment.

NEVERCOMINGHEREAGAIN! I wish leaving less then a star was an option! The two«secretaries» if thats what you can even call them are EXTREMELYRUDE! Complete B**ches!!! Had a horrible experience! Customers are paying and once they leave they talk about every person that walks through that door INFRONTOFYOU! My mom asked them a question and the lady says ugh only for more hours to go! Really?! All we got was complete attitude! People go in there and are paying money and thats the customer service we get PATHETIC!

Saw all the great reviews on here and thought I’d give them a try since they’re in the same shopping center I take my daughter to everyday for tkd. Got to say that they lived up to the« Unilocal hype»! The women at the front desk were awesome, very nice and easy to talk to. Dr. Burt was very upbeat and very professional. I can’t remember the name of the gentleman who helped me pick out my frames but he was also very helpful. An overall great experience!!!

Absolutely love Dr. Burt and his staff! We always look forward to our annual appointments. The staff is very professional and customer service is excellent. The best selections of eye wear around. Will continue to refer friends and family to Dr. Burt!

I think that they are the only people in their industry that do not understand the importance of vision and what their products are actually meant for. I haven’t been to the optometrist in a couple of years. Since I got a new job and found that I was having a really tough time seeing on the monitor I have at work, I decided it was time for me to get new glasses. I came in on a Saturday after I received an ad in the mail for a deal that included an exam, frames and lenses. I did not make an appointment, but they were willing to make one for me, with a little attitude. The exam lasted about 10 minutes overall and then I was off to go pick my frames. I was told that the deal was only for their universal frames, and if I wanted to pick one out of their collection, I would only receive a $ 20 discount. I decided to look at my other options. I fell in love with a pair of purple Dior frames, and decided to go a little above my budget. I was then told that my glasses would be ready on the following Tuesday. That was very contradictory to their ad claiming to have them ready in one hour. They explained that, because of my prescription, they would have to order the lenses and would receive them on Monday. I guess I could wait a few more days for my glasses, even though I look like a fool at work, squinting and all. Tuesday comes around and I don’t receive any word from them. I decided to call in and tell them that I would go in after work to pick up my glasses. To my dismay, they were not ready and would not be ready until Friday. They told me that the lenses were defective. They would have to reorder them and that they would not arrive until Thursday. I had already explained my urgency for the glasses, what am I to do now? If I had gone to any LensCrafters, I would really have my glasses in an hour. I would have rather done that! No good, I said I would go and just pick up my frames, take them to a LensCrafters and just have them ready for me that day. Then they told me that if I just took the frames, they would not honor the discount for the exam or the frames. DOYOUNOTUNDERSTANDTHAT I CANNOTSEEATWORK?! I asked them to help me out. They had no suggestions, only sad, pity faces. I asked how much would an exam for contacts be. They said, since I have astigmatism, that it would be an additional $ 120. Really? I had just spent $ 599 on my glasses and exam, can’t you help me out? At Costco or other optometry places, they charged me $ 89 and that was including the exam for contacts with astigmatism. They made excuses saying that since it’s Costco, they can afford to do that. And that they would tell me I needed contacts for astigmatism because they wanted to make more money off of me. Isn’t that contradicting your first excuse? They told me that I had SLIGHT astigmatism and that I would be able to just get regular contacts. «They will be more comfortable,» they said. LIES! If you have astigmatism, and you’ve tried on regular contacts, YOUCANTELLTHEDIFFERENCE. It was blurry and uncomfortable. The doctor said that it would take a few hours for me to adjust to them. Well let me tell you, I never did. I came back to pick up my glasses on Friday. The girl asked, «how are the contacts?» I said, «they’re really dry and they really bother me.» Her conclusion? «Oh, you probably have them in backwards. You know they have two sides, right?» NOSHIT. NO I DONOTHAVETHEMINBACKWARDS. I’M NOTANIDIOT. «Oh, well maybe you scratched your eye when you put it on it looks red.» Really? You don’t think I would have noticed if I SCRATCHEDMYEYE? The opinion of some random person on the street would be more valid than this person’s. You’re so ridiculous. Good thing I’m here to see the doctor and not you. I came home, happy with my glasses, and what do I see? Three little dots, little scratches on both lenses. I thought that because there was one scratch on the last one, that it was not to standard and they could not give them to me. These have 6 scratches on them! I called and and she said that they would order new lenses after they take a look at them. Fine, I’ll bring them in when I do my follow up for the contacts. When I came in and gave her the glasses, I told her very specifically that I wanted them back while they ordered the new lenses. Do I really have to explain why? Obviously I did, because when I got them back, went home and decided to put them on, guess what. THEYWEREBROKEN. THELENSEWASALLCRACKED! No wonder the guy who looked at them said they were defective. BECAUSEHEBROKETHEM! You can clearly see the scratches, DIDYOUREALLYHAVETOGOANDTRYTOBREAKTHEMTOBECERTAINTHEY’REDEFECTIVE? ANDYOUSTILLGIVETHEMBACKTOME? That costed me another trip to them for absolutely no reason. I’ve been there 6 times now. I have an appointment for another follow up since the other doctor decided regular contacts would not work for me. At least I can finally have my glasses soon.

My correction had never been as good as it has been since coming to GVC. They can tell you pretty quickly what’s covered on a vision plan, and offer you the maximum benefits you have coming to you, unlike the big chain optometry place that I used for past 20+ years, plus it’s hometown. My whole family goes here, including a teen who was told elsewhere that she would never be able to tolerate contacts; here they were patient with her till she got comfortable with them, now it’s second nature for her. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My son has been a patient of Dr. Burt for most of his life and Dr. Burt has been nothing but great. I read a review on the lack of customer service, I don’t know about that they staff hasn’t changed much in the 13+ years my son has been here, they do however get very busy so excuse them for being human. There is a great selection of eye glasses and sunglasses here, the staff will sit with you as long as it takes to help you find the perfect frame.

Although Dr. Burt has treated my husband and was great, the female office staff is horrible! Very unfriendly! When you enter the office they look annoyed that they have to stop what they are doing to help you. No smiles here. Your visit with them will pretty much continue that way. We have seen Manny once or twice and he has always been very helpful and pleasant. We have decided go back to our last Dr. and would not recommend. Sad for Dr. Burt but he needs to understand that customer service is severely lacking when he is not looking or in the office.

My daugher and I had an appt. Service was great and very fast. Dr. Burt was great, friendly and very efficient He is really a nice guy. Gave me new contacts and some solution. Very small office but Dr. Burt is great.

Staff was very friendly. Service was efficient and they booked me a reasonable time frame. I made my appointment just as easily living 5 minutes away. Interestingly, my first pair of glasses from 1997 were still in their records! I wish they gave me a discount that I saw on but the deal had expired. My exam costed me $ 79

Love coming here! Dr. Burt is a fantastic eye doctor and is so friendly. In fact, everyone who works in the office is friendly and helpful. I have been going here for several years and I have never been disappointed or taken aback by the service or prices in any way. If you need to make an eye appointment, give Dr. Burt your business!

I recently moved to the Glendora area and wasn’t sure where to go for my yearly eye exam. Dr Burt was great, he was very thorough with my exam. His office has a large selection of eye wear. Plus he has all the lastest stuff. I found my new eye doctor.

I first tried Dr. Burt in the early 90’s and he was so dead on with my prescription. Thereafter, I tried another doctor who was also good but expensive. When I returned to Dr. Burt years later, I realized I missed his care. His office staff is also very friendly.
