Econo Lube N Tune

Wow. Went in for a simple oil change fairly early. Asked how long the wait was. 20min was my response. Ok kool. 2 ½ hrs later my vehicle was complete. Ever since ownera changed hands this place is not the same. Really would recommend anyplace other than this place. Try and steer clear as much as possible…

DO NOT GO HERE! I have lived in Glendora a long time and have always gone here for my service until it changed owners awhile back and had a bad experiance. My dad on the other hand still goes here and has his work vehicals serviced. Finally saw what I was talking about. Well heres what happened. My dad bought a new work truck and Garey the owner offered to buy his old one knowing that he has taken good care of it with his services. Garey said he would give my dad $ 1500 dollars and $ 500 shop credit. After deciding to pay my dad in installments he ripped him off on his last one and said he would not offer him the shop credit even though my dad had already signed the pink slip over to him a month from then. Don’t waste your time here. This just shows you an example of the owners selfish ways and how he doesent hold to his word.

I needed an oil change and searched the internet for coupons. Luckily (or so I though) I found one for $ 5.00 at Econo Lube N Tube. I called for a price quote and the gentleman, who happened to be the owner, said it would be $ 19.95. I thought great, with my coupon I would pay around 20 bucks, which in my mind included the little fees they always seem to get you with. The experience all the way until I got the bill was pleasant, the owner was a nice man… no way did I think he would try to rip me off. So I walked up to the counter and he tells me it’ll be $ 28.75 which includes the $ 5 coupon. I’m like WTF? So I tell him that doesn’t seem right, it should be much lower than that. In short I told him that as a consumer, being quoted 19.95 with a $ 5.00 coupon to boot, then being told the final bill is 28.75 is quite shocking and anyone in my shoes would feel the same way. So you’re telling me that w/​o the coupon I would have paid 33.75 after being quoted 19.95 on the phone? That’s ridiculous…
After much back and forth he agreed to give me an additional $ 3.00 off, to a much more tolerable 25.75. I had to lie to the guy and tell him I’d be back for a tune up, which he tried to sell me before the whole fiasco. Well needless to say, I got serviced at Econo Lube N Tube in more ways than one… never again.
