Sadly, this was my favorite. That is, until the ownership changed and decided to go Asian fusion. When I want Italian, then I EXPECTTOWALKINANDGETTHEGREATSMELLSOFITALIAN… NOTFISH!!!

This restaurant has closed as of August 17, 2014. Too bad. Good food and service. Funky location wouldn’t draw in anyone that didn’t know. Several servers are now at the new Cosmo’s Bistro.

First, this place sits in a very odd shopping center. To see it, you would think it is not the nice restaurant that it is on the inside. Windows surround the view, but your looking out to the parking lot. I had heard several people say this place was really good. I’ve had better. We ordered spahgetti and my husband ordered one of their fancy hamburgers. Both were lacking in flavor and for the price we paid, they could definetly afford more ingredients. At the end of the night, server took our credit cards and did not listen when we told him how to split the bill. He split it right down the middle, which was incorrect. To Dine or Dash? I probably will not dine again and if I do, I will be prepared and bring my own seasonings.

Lovely atmosphere. Waiter was excellent. Food was good. I had the pappardelle with blue cheese crème sauce. Next time I will try something with a red sauce as I will like that more. The iced tea was great. Happy that they didn’t play Dean Martin songs on the music system.

First I have to say the only reason I gave this two stars instead of one star was because the waiter was superb. I felt sorry for him because he was doing his best to deal with the poor quality of food he was serving. My friend and I ordered the Sashimi Tuna Pizza. We started to eat it and it was very clear that the avocados were old and very over ripe. They were mushy and had brown spots on them. When I asked the waiter if we could have a fresher avocado, he went back to the kitchen and told us the cook said all the avocados were the same. Later the waiter came out and showed us an avocado to see if we wanted that one. The avocado was clearly old and over-ripe, the skin was hard like leather and when depressing it, it was clearly very mushy and overripe. I told the waiter that this is the kind of avocado that I would put in the trash. Later the bus boy came over to tell us that the spots we saw on the avocado was pepper. It clearly was not, as some of the brown spots were vein like. I know what an overripe avocado looks and tastes like. Along with the avocado problem, the sashimi was tough. I told the waiter that I did not think we should have to pay for this. He said he would talk to the owner and have her come over. After that we ordered the smoked chicken salad and the greens were tough and clearly old. Then we ordered the chocolate cake that was not a chocolate cake. OK, I give up. The owner never came over, the Sahimi Tuna Pizza was not taken off the bill. When we left, we saw the owner sitting at the bar, watching TV. I have been going to Chelsea’s for over ten years and have always loved it. Don’t think I will be coming back. The hostess thought that these might be new owners, but was not sure. Too bad!

Came here a while back with my company for a lunch and it was just okay. The food was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The place is REALLY small and you can see right into the kitchen, which is weird. All in all, just okay. I wouldn’t go on my own.

My previous 5-star review was based on our company’s holiday luncheon(which was excellent). Sad to downgrade, but I ate lunch here(on my own) and it was… just okay. Most items on the lunch menu were quite expensive, and thus, I ordered a sandwich. It took SUPER long for my food to come out(more than 30 minutes), and the sandwich tasted whatevers. Wouldn’t pay more than $ 5 for it– but it cost me ~$ 11(not including tip).

Please grab some pop-corn, have a seat, relax and enjoy my review: Chelsea Restaurant: I took a chance and I don’t regret it. I have heard all kinds of positive feed back for this restaurant. I also saw the two and one star reviews on Unilocal. So, what’s a girl to do. I went with my gut instinct and trusted my friends feedback. I wanted to see it for myself. I was planning a small private party for my husband(25 family members and a few of his good friends). I went to meet with the owner/manager, Maggy. 1st, to see the actual restaurant.(since i have never been there) and 2nd, to look at their prices on their menu and the selection of foods. well, they have a HUGE selection. 1st Visit:(5 star) Once i met Maggy, I was very impressed and adored her to pieces. She didn’t have to twist my arm, I was very impressed and easily convinced. Maggy helped me with many ideas, and told me the different things they can do for us. She customized a menu with selected items and it also had my husbands name on it. it looks incredible!!! That was what sold me the idea. Ambiance:(5 star) It looks small, but very spacious.(does that even make sense?) beautifully decorated. Can be great for big parties/gatherings, meetings/lunches, casual lunch with friends, or very romantic dinner for two. Whatever the event, they can accommodate. They have a full bar, huge selection of beer and wine. Service:(5 star) How can anyone complain? From what we experienced that evening we were treated so well. We had 3 — 4 servers. I think I would of drove myself crazy if I was the actual server for the party. We had a few«picky» people. We asked for a lot! We kept those servers very busy. BUT, the whole time, everyone was great. They were all very professional, super nice, and made us all feel very special and comfortable. Food:(5 star) Capital WOW!!! Everything that I selected was delicious. Of course I didn’t have a chance to taste everyone’s dish, lol… BUT, I asked each guest how their food was, they all loved it. they all raved about it, and said it was soooo good. There was no leftovers, that good! The appetizer was ALL gone. Their bread, I don’t eat bread, but it was one of those you have to have bread. OMG, so good. Dessert:(5 star) I ordered a special cake and brought it with me. Once we lit the candle and sang for hubby, The servers took it, cut it, and beautifully redecorated it with adding fruits and chocolate syrup. It was beautiful decorated, and yet I was surprised again. Overall:(5+ star) Our evening was incredible. We all had a great time. We all enjoyed the service, food, ambiance, and definitely will go back. Thank you Maggy for making our evening very memorable. Thanks to all your servers for being so patient with us. and thanks to that incredible chef of yours who know how to prepare an incredible meal. :)

Early Bird special well worth the price. Ordered the ribeye and along with veg and Mash you can select from soup salad and also a choice in dessert. All important the steak was cooked medium rare just as ordered. Only strange part is sitting in an empty room if you come too early. Oh and dust those fake plants in there– I don’t want anything falling in my food if I return.

Had dinner with the old man here. The veggie pasta is very tasty with lots of cheese and really kicked. My dad ordered a pizza the dough was crunchy and the flavor was happening. Service here is decent but the servers should look a little more happy to be there. Place is small but clean, location kinda tricks you. But this place has a B rating! They have dinner plates for $ 20 – 29. That is crazy! My dads pizza was $ 22, and at those prices they should really be a A rating if they want to get away with that… Would not go out of my way for

We just moved into the area and wanted to try something new to eat. We saw Chelsea’s Restaurant and thought it would be like a diner of sort since its in a strip mall. Wow, when I walked in, I saw the white fabric table cloths and it was very nicely decorated. For a second, I wondered if I was under dressed! We were greeted by an Asian gentlemen who I thought was the owner but later was the chef. They had just opened for dinner and we got seated very quickly. He told us the specials of the night and brought out their garlic bread. The bread lacked a bit of salt but it was warm, fluffy and garlicky. Who needs more salt anyways? We ordered from the early bird special, figured it would be smaller portion husband had the clam chowder soup and I had the vegetable ravioli soup. I am not a fan of clam chowder because of the fishy taste but this clam chowder was creamy and delicious. No taste of fish!!! My vegetable ravioli soup had nice chunks of vegetables and both portions were large. When the food arrived, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the large portion. I ordered the fillet Mignon and it was a large portion. The sauce that came with my fillet mignon and my husband’s rib eye was delicious and so we didn’t need any steak sauce. We also had our 6 year old in tow and ordered the spaghetti for him. His pasta dish was pretty good as well. The staff is friendly and they kept refilling my water and were very attentive. For the price of the early bird and the portion this place competes with other well known chain restaurants. We will be back again for sure as this is a nice place for a date, enjoy some wine or bring out of town relatives. Next time I will have to try their wine.

Decided to take a chance, I see the reviews are either all good or really bad. We both had the earlybird special, served 4:30 — 6:00, and 18.95 gets salad, soup, entrée and dessert. Not a bad deal. They also have a decent by-the-glass wine list. Garlic Rolls were served promptly. They needed salt… or Something, and thus was the theme of tonights’ dinner… The salad was lackluster – bagged mesclun, and one half a cherry tomato, bottled ranch. Really? Just leave out the tomato! Also it was not ice cold, a big no no for me. The tomato soup lacked flavor and did not taste especially tomato-ey, and it was very thin. It came with one large underdone raviloli floating in it. The lobster bisque did not taste homemade and was missing that richness and heavy cream/butter/sherry note. My filet was huge – really nice and thick and tender. Also cooked perfectly medium. But it was not seared properly and did not taste like it was seasoned at all. Adding salt and pepper did not help. In places, the meat tasted steamed. This happens when the pan is not hot enough. The cabernet sauce it was served with had NO flavor– I did not taste wine, seasonings, or herbs. The accompanying veg and mashed potato also lacked flavor/seasoning. Butter and garlic would have amped things up. On the bright side, the veg was fresh and perfectly steamed. The tirimisu was just Meh, I have had better. It was not the mascapone/espresso type I am used to. The mango sorbet was refreshing and tasted good. The service was friendly and attentive. There were quite a few other diners in there, and it was a weekday night, so they seem to do a steady business. I can’t help but think with a few tweaks, this could be a really great little place. I looked at their regular menu, which is extensive(maybe too much so? Asian, Italian AND continental dishes), but some of the prices of their«specials» were outrageous for the location/area… 28.95? Really? I’m just glad I stuck with the early bird. I would not have been happy if I had paid 28.95 for what I got tonight.

We had an outstanding experience when we stumbled in for an early dinner on a Friday. Food was outstanding, ambience lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed staying for conversation and dessert. Just suggested a lunch date meet here as the value and experience is off the charts wonderful!!! Definitely in my top three!

I love Chelsea Restaurant… It’s a fantastic«date spot» — tucked away into a busy little strip mall. Upon arrival for dinner, we’re greeted and seated immediately. Linen fold napkins and water wine glasses with a little candlelight is always a nice welcome comfort. During the menu look-over — drink orders are taken and those amazing little complimentary garlic puff rolls come in cute lil baskets. PERFECT. Drown those lil guys in some of their balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Appetizer: «Steamed Clams» This thing came to our table in a large glass ramekin with bread baked on top, resembling something between a huge soufflé and a turtle shell. It was piping hot, full of flavor and fresh herbs. Spinach, garlic… we dipped everything in there — and the key — use the clam shells as spoons to «soup up» the broth. Course: Chilean Sea Bass in Chipotle Cream Sauce. Was absolutely perfect… but I stuffed myself with the clams and the bread. and endless refills of soda. But it was flakey white, the chipotle cream sauce was smokey, with a spicy kick. with blanched veggies and some garlic mashed potatoes. 2nd Date Course: Tequila crusted Salmon Dinner. So delicious… they grill their fishes so wonderful and perfect. you still get a nice skin crunch… but the fish cuts with a fork«fork tender» This is my 3rd trip to Chelsea. the prices have always been reasonable, the service impeccable. and the food to die for. makes me happy to be a Glendora gal.

After helping my mom out at her work she decided to take me here. Looking at the restaurant from the outside can be deceiving since its in a strip mall, but once you go inside it seems elegant with the nicely folded cloth napkins in a wine glass with white table cloths. We went for an early dinner which was smart since they have an early dinner menu with specials that are pretty reasonable. Food: Rib-eye: 3 stars. Around 10 oz. rib-eye with garlic mashed potatoes and blanched vegetables. The rib-eye had great flavor and was nice and juicy. Since we went early this meal came with either soup or salad and for dessert either sorbet or tiramisu. $ 17.50 Seared ahi tuna: 2.5 stars. The largest portion of seared ahi that I’ve ever received at a restaurant. The ahi was very nice and smooth. It was served with the delicious garlic mashed potatoes and blanched vegetables. The only thing that I wasn’t pleased with was the sauce that they put on the ahi. I like it to have a kick with just plain old wasabi and soy sauce mixed together. The thing was, the sauce was sweet. For me personally it was like teriyaki sauce which is not the traditional sauce you would put on a seared ahi. $ 25 Tiramisu: 4.5 stars. The thing about ordering tiramisu at a restaurant is you never know how it’s going to turn out. Like tiramisu is the basic lady fingers, rum, espresso, cheese and most of the time chocolate. The thing is, every restaurant makes their tiramisu different! I’ve tried over 20 tiramisu’s and not one of them was even closely similar to the next. This tiramisu has to be one of my most favorite tiramisu’s. The flavored were excellent and you can taste every single ingredient and they added a nice flavor along with texture by adding a sliced strawberry on top. Absolutely delicious and is a must if you ever come here!

To be honest, my review may be slightly colored by two factors: 1) I was in a rush to catch a red-eye out of LAX. 2) I found out only after returning to Florida that I’d missed the Glendora Donut Man, who was only a few blocks away and had fresh strawberry donuts *slobber* Back to reality: your food was a solid 3, pushing 4 stars. A tad on the greasy side, but the carbonara was quite nice. Fresh peas, pancetta — it was a special, though, so no telling how often other could sample. The rest of the experience was really a major meh. The prices were WAY out of bounds for the quality of food, ambiance, and particularly the atrocious service. Our server was downright surly. He couldn’t be bothered to smile, or for that matter to show up at our table after delivering the food. For a strip-mall-in-Glendora location and atmosphere to match, I would expect to pay $ 15 – 20 for dinners, not $ 25+. Sack your entire wait staff — there should be no survivors when you’re through.

Dropping my rating. Arrived at 5:00pm for their Early Bird dinner menu.(4:30pm-6:00pm). PHOTOOFMENU:( ) This is a great value since it also comes with bread, soup or salad, vegetables, mashed potatoes & either Tiramisu or Sorbet for desert. PHOTOOFDESSERT(Tiramisu was yummy!):( ) ORDERED Grilled Salmon $ 14.50 Grilled Rib-Eye Steak $ 16.50 No complaints whatsoever about the food. — MAJOR — NEGATIVE — The SERVICE! ZERO customers when we first arrived. Took a couple minutes before we were even acknowledged. Waited 10 minutes before someone took our order. We could clearly see them talking in the back. The male server we had today wasn’t welcoming at all He never checked on us after our food came out, he never asked us about dessert. I had to remind him that our meal came with one. There was no «Welcome», «Hello how are you? How did you like your meal? and no «Thank you» when we were leaving. No friendly smiles. He dropped the bill of to us and we sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for someone to take our credit card. A lady was serving the guests at the table next to us so my husband held out the bill to give to her. She almost walked into it and just walked past us. We sat for a few more minutes before my husband just walked it up to her. Our male server just disappeared! Service was sooooo slow, we were there for over an hour! I’m really disappointed. Even though the food was good, the service alone made me think I never want to return here again. THISJUSTGOESTOPROVETHATFOODALONECAN’T WINHEARTS. WORKONYOURCUSTOMERSERVICE! Chelsea Restaurant is nice. The outside is totally deceiving probably due to its location. It’s located within a small shopping center area off of good old classic Route 66. Went here on a business lunch and it probably helped that the person I was with knew the owner/Chef because we received royalty service. Waiters were very attentive and friendly. The interior décor is actually pretty nice and adds value to the ambiance. It’s actually bigger inside than what I expected. Food was great and good portions. Catch of the day was fresh halibut, sea bass and something else… can’t remember. I ordered lemon-caper halibut and it was delicious. Topped it off with tiramisu and lemon merengue cake that was on the house. To my surprise I preferred the lemon merengue over the tiramisu.(I’m usually a fan of tiramisu.) Nice place, although prices are a bit higher than I expected. Nevertheless, I would definitely return if I was in the area.
