I don’t get some of the negativity I have read from other posts. This place is good if your trying to get your shirts laundered and dry cleaned at a decent price. I find the man at the front desk, who also seems to run the place to be very attentive with good people skills.

my family has decided to stop going here after nearly one year. the first reason, on more than one occasion we have been substantially overcharged. only after we caught it did they profusely apologize and immediately provided the refund. thereafter, before we paid we had to closely check and itemize every item on our bill because we didn’t trust them anymore — no fun. the second reason, they lost a very expensive garment of ours and completely denied any and all responsibility. they went as far as to say that it is impossible that they lost it and they’ve never lost anything before — absolutely ridiculous. we never got as much as an apology or even a courtesy credit for our $ 150 loss due to their negligence. obviously, the don’t value their clientele. —– my reply to JEAN Y’s(aka: value village cleaners) snarky assumption: because i did NOT receive someone else’s garment to return to you. by and large, you pretty much just validated everything in my review.

I found this place on Unilocal and had very good experiences up until today. They seem so nice from their weekly happy-go-lucky emails which they send to clients(which have NOTHING to do with dry cleaning and have lots of quotes from American writers). Up until today, I’ve always thought they did a fine job and I even sort of enjoyed their random weekly emails. The true test, however, of a good spot is how it handles a problem. Today I learned that Value Village has horrible customer service if something goes wrong. My husband and I have been using them as dry cleaners for a year. When I brought in pillow case covers to be cleaned the zippers on two of the four pillow case covers were returned to us broken today. The manager I spoke to was incredibly rude on the phone when I called to ask what recourse I had for repairs. He swore at me saying«why are you f*ing asking me this» when I tried to get specific information about how they would fix the items. This was extremely unprofessional and rude. I do not feel comfortable using a business which has such poor customer service and such a vitriolic employee so I will be taking my business elsewhere. In fact, I’m not even going to deal with this business to get the repair done, especially since it wasn’t clear that they’d fix them. Any ideas for a non-swearing dry cleaners in the greater Glendale area?

Overall, the work was poor and the customer service unpleasant. On the plus side, they did a beautiful job on my boyfriend’s shirts. However, I brought a skirt there with a simple food stain, which I pointed out to them. When I picked it up, it still had the stain, but there wasn’t one of those notes saying they were unable to remove it. I brought the skirt back and pointed this out, and they actually tried to make me pay to do it over. When they agreed to do it over, they said they’d put it through the drycleaning process again, but that they don’t do stain removal. When I got the skirt back, the stain was still there. This place is fine for simple jobs, but for anything you treasure, take it to French Hand Laundry in Pasadena, instead.

For dry cleaning, they do a pretty good job and the prices seem reasonable. We brought in our duvet cover that has embroidery on it and when I got it back it looked great. However, the 3 stars is for the alterations. My husband brought in his jeans to get shortened and when we got them back they were too short! He said there was a younger guy who measured his pants. I’d think all you need to do is figure out how long the pants should be and pin it. How hard is that? I wasn’t there when he brought them in, otherwise I may have been able to catch the mistake, but still, how hard is it to shorten pants! There is an older lady who works there as well… maybe she knows how to properly measure pants. I’m still looking for a good place to get alterations done… not sure I trust this place.

Let me just come right out and say that I really like this place. Granted, I didn’t have the most challenging bit of cleaning to do(9 shirts… nothing exciting) and all of my stuff came back nicely cleaned, fresh smelling and wrinkle free. Just what I’d expect from a good dry cleaning place. I didn’t have anything altered but it certainly looked like, just from looking at all of the tailoring sort of equipment that they had about the place, they probably could have made me a pair of pants out of any of the shirts I had brought in. This is something I would have welcomed. Why, you ask, do they not have five stars? Because that certainly sounds like a perennial five star establishment. Well — almost. Let’s jump into the future — past this election that seems to be driving most of the country, nay, the world, bananas. Past the partisan rhetoric and nonsense. In fact, consider this my Unilocal time capsule. In the future, having a depiction of a certain presidential candidate adorned with a Turban and all kinds of other goodies. I’m pretty thick skinned about this sort of stuff — honest. Under normal circumstances, I would just say something off color to myself and move on. However, since I had to stand there today, staring at a three dollar bill with the«terrorist» version of Barack Obama right underneath a wacky three dollar bill depiction of Hillary Clinton. Great dry cleaning — poor choice of signage.

I like these guys. The guy at the front desk always remembers me when I come in and he is really nice. They do their dry cleaning in house and do a great job at it. I’ve brought stuff in that by all reasonable accounts they should have told me that was out of their ability to take care of(stains, etc) and they have managed to always return my garments to me good as new. Once, I even brought in a pair of white pants that my son had dumped syrup all over(not knowing what to do with them) and they told me don’t worry they would take care of everything… and they did!

So when I moved to Glendale, I was in search of a place to bring my business clothes to on a regular basis. I went to a few places and ended up here. They are Korean family owned and are all very nice people. I bring my dry cleaning there and also had some alterations done on a couple suit pants for myself and my bf. They are very accomodating to when I needed things done and I like their weekly email newsletters as they include great coupons to use at their store.
